Good morning!!!!

Been waiting months for this culvert replacement project to get completed. It cut off direct access to 100 business. They have to do a 6 mile detour. That’s using the gravel road in front of my house. Paved road detour is 10 miles.
Picture shows they may be ready to replace blacktop in next few days. Sure will be nice to not have the traffic, noise and dust.

That's a great picture angle! Drone? Bucket?

Good luck on getting the culvert replacement finished before winter.

I put a new cord on the welder yesterday, which turned out to be more involved than I expected as one hot was a soldered connection, and the new cord had thicker rubber, making getting the strain relief on an exercise in brute strength, even with some cable lube. Under the cover, the welder looked to be a 120/220 single hot, with a neutral design, rather than a US twin hot 120+120 =240 design, but seemed like a good build otherwise, as the control and power boards had insulated standoffs and large gauge connections where needed. Still, note to self to not leave it plugged in, which isn't something that I do anyway.

More gutter work today; might take a closer look at the chipper to see how to rebuild it after the failed weld.

All the best, Peter

if you have the room, and the sheds, avoiding implement changing sure is nice.
with one smaller tractor with turf tires so as not to rip up the lawn.
though I think today's hybrid tires minimize that

but after a storm when everything is soggy wet, sure nice to have turf tires that
do very little damage. Sometimes just leaves that area covered in mud but that all washes off
after one rain. I had turf tires on a 27hp Massey and was always amazed at the grip.
and the ride was simply marvelous, Bridgestone Pillow turf tires. And when 4wd engaged, I could pull a small disc
behind it with a good load. Never got it stuck either but in NC it's almost all flat so slope not an issue.
as long as you stayed out of the ditches. Ditches everywhere, had to move the water or whole neighborhood would flood.

I pulled my diesel JD garden tractor out of those ditches several times, never thought much of that Carlisle mower tire.
The way I used that small tractor should have had R14s on back. Just have to be careful, more grip, more wear on hydro trans.
So I was careful not to overload the garden tractor. Figured that wasn't going to happen with the bigger tractors and never had an issue
with hydros at 27hp and 57hp. Just a lot of different whines.

I'd like a 100hp IVT tractor that is EV silent.
infinite gears, no whine, everything smooth
quiet cab with a huge 360 4k camera
front and rear three point hitches
matching high lift track loader
and then I woke up

geez, just when it was getting good.

I got this Kioti CK 27 hst primarily for pushing snow. (Should have got the CK 35.) Hence the cab, not even considering how hot the summers are when sitting in a fish bowl. No A/C on it makes the cab real hot in summer. Kioti recommends you keep the front window closed when doing loader work, but I modified the latch system so I can open the window about 3" before it hits the stack. That is enough to get some air movement and with the back window wide open air still moves. I have a 12 volt 2 speed fan that I will get around to mounting some day, but not today. It is pissing down rain.
I'm going out in about 30 minutes and take advantage of Ma natures free car wash.

70°F and .52 inches rain

Off to Hilo town this morning, a few errands.

Hope to resume mowing this after weather permitting. Slow going as I need to relearn balance and control.

I do really like it.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great tractor day

How dare you guys talk about tractors on here!!!! lol

Breakfast went good, sat and talked a long time after, and picked up a couple more fry pies next door.
Took a little drive down a windy road, that was used after the battle of Gettysburg by Lee's army as they retreated back to VA. The battle of Monterey happened up on the mountain. Then we visited the Sachs Covered Bridge in Gettysburg, also used by the retreating soldiers.

I was born on Aquetong Road a mile or two down the road.
Yes, you were indeed the one on my mind, when I made that comment. But I wasn't going to out your location, without you saying it first.

Almost my entire family going back to the early 1800's is buried on Aquetong road, but not on the DiNardo property. :ROFLMAO:

Good Tractor Morning Paul,
I’m very curious how the plane landed with a flat tire ? Des the pilot need to do something different when landing a plane like that ?
Keep in mind that we had no idea it was flat until it touched down.
Having said that, yes you give it full up elevator to keep the nose as light as you can, but at some point it has to bear the full weight.

As near as I can tell from repairing it, the old tube had the valve stem torn out of it. Not sure if that was a cause or a result though.
I can say with certainty that it was fully inflated when we left.

gosh what a waste of time.
sports medicine guy said he didn't see where the mri covered the right area, thinks I might have a fracture internally, but
can't tell without a second mri. I wonder if these guys get kickbacks...same company owns open mri.
so no shot, no nothing, just another test.
his opinion of my back "you sure have a lot going on in there". yes...
and he isn't the right guy for my lower back, yet another specialty.

swing and a miss.
oh well.
time for a nice weekend and hope you all have one too.

local supermarket had a special on ready prepared osso bucco.
heating that up for dinner, should be a treat.

when I was working my way through college six nights a week, working in college cafeteria, the
Portugese and Italian cooks working there in Providence Ri had a monthly special of osso bucco.
feel like a dinosaur chowing down on that big bone but mighty good eating.

67F and "Fair" @ 16:00, woke up around 15:00 ... still tired after yesterday's "extravaganza" ...

Coffee tasting mighty good though ... ;)

Could see no signs of frost this morning before I went to bed.

Woman got up around 10:00 after the little cat woke Her. She just went back to bed.

She did do laundry and run the dishwasher earlier while She was up, as well as going outside and cutting down some more weeds apparently.

I remembered to install a new furnace filter yesterday when we were working on the water heater. Need to add a recurring reminder to my Calendar for that along with draining the sediment out of the water heater and opening/flushing the pressure/temperature relief valve monthly.

She has been really concerned about build up of deposits in the plumbing so I had Her look at the inside of the pipes I took off when installing the new water heater. No real build up ... just a very light, thin coating of rust ... which I could easily wipe out with my little finger.

So no: there isn't a build up of mineral deposits reducing the water pressure.

Really looking forward to getting back into inside projects in the coming months.

Not much on my agenda for the rest of the day.

Clean up the mess in the utility room in the basement from the water heater replacement.

Check on that one seep.

Grab a hot shower. (Yea !)

Check on the tempering valve Menards has available "while supplies last" ...

Otherwise see what else comes up.

Hope everyone is having a decent day ... (y)
