Good Morning,
Will close pool during the week, tired of leaf cleaning daily.
Ken, I’m totally with you on that score. I closed ours last Tuesday, kathleen always gives me a hard time about the closing but I remind her she is more than welcome to come and fish out all the leaves 😉
only tylenol and that only works so so
and leaves me feeling dull
Drew, I never cared much for Tylenol myself either.
NY Giants pull rabbit out of there hat. :)
Thomas, we had to start somewhere 😂
I think we are going to North Bay today. Only 8 stops on this trip
Bill, safe trip and travels to you and Junior 🙏

Good Morning,
Vt,50 to start going to 72. Looks like some clouds moving in and cooler temps also.

Plans for today are to cut up all that old decking and move to burn pile out behind the barn. Also need to install new gas valve in the Dovre heating stove in the kitchen along with new pilot assembly. Kathleen wants to fit in a ride out on the lake also.

Tomorrow I’m hoping to get some mowing time out in the field.

Don, glad you finally got the Kubota repaired at the farm, sounds like a busy day. 😉

Hope all have a great day 🙏

good morning all
wow what a beautiful bush Ron, changing colors for you, like my hydrangeas

going to be warm up to 80 today and I have lots to do.
nice dinner at brother's last night, he asked for a ride today to go get his car
from the shop after they had fixed a nail. Tires on Corvette seem to be magnets for flats.

Kyle, yes on diminishing physical damage premiums offsetting some of the good deal in the offer.
But...my car is six years old, pretty well depreciated in insurance terms, so the reverse "cost" to me is less than
if I bought a new car. It's a gimmick, but it seems to fit my situation. Still at 1400 a car not like they are giving this away...

I earned my living for almost twenty years selling personal and commercial insurance. Two cars would be about 800 bucks and homeowners
about 500. Whooeee, try that today. But then look what cars cost today and look how much more complicated they are, and apparently easy to total loss due to expensive components like ten thousand dollar dash screens.

so about four dollars a day to insure one car, seems like a lot.
but not to any of you with younger drivers

We have some of that to deal with. But the thing is, when you ask them about each of the main issues, they are on the right side mostly.

The funny thing about that is the “right side” varies from person to person, and issue to issue.
My approach is to try to get along with everyone, regardless of who they voted for or their religion or lack thereof.
We are more alike than we are different overall.
I still have my strong opinions, but I try to be tolerant of others, regardless of how vehemently I might disagree with them.

The challenge I have with working on a propane stove is that everything is located underneath it. You practically have to lay flat on your stomach to work on it. I have changed the gas valve on our Jotu, limited access was what made that job the most challenging.

After all, Popgadget tolerates me, so you know he's flexible... ;)
nicely said Paul.

I learned something this morning, about when an insurance company considers your car
totalled. I did not know it was based on state law. What interested me was learning it costs about 5 grand on average
to replace a full set of airbags on a car, so on an older car you can see how that mounts up quickly

Total loss threshold: Each state sets a different total loss percentage. If you live in a state with a low threshold, like Oklahoma (60%), a car is more likely to be totaled than in a state with a high threshold, like Colorado (100%).
even better, look up your own state:

Coffee is cooling in cup. 48° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 82° with plenty of sun. Got garden pond maintainace done. Found that filter had small drips from plumbing change. Removed both filters and lubed the o'rings. Problems solved. Went with neighbor to Rural King. Did not find anything to buy. Got a call from Harvey (wroughtnharv). He had a bad injury a few week ago. Some 8' poles rolled on top of him. Broken ribs and shoulder. Spent a several days in hospital then some time in rehab. He got home Saturday. Is up and moving. So glad he is going to recover.

Good morning TBN folks. Its in the low 50's now and suppose to be a high of 74 today. We spend the weekend at the camp we are in the process of buying and had a grand time there and here is a few pics. Gosh the weather was good and we got the road cleared some.

Morning all, 61 to 81 and sunny.
Son helped me get the pool cover over to the pool. Took him to the train later on.
Went to Costco for the first time, what a mad house. Wife did warn me.

Got the walk behind blower out, and walked behind it for a bit.

Haircut tonight.

Hope Harv heals quick, it's been a while since hearing from him.

Be well

My back yard is one big continuous hill, about 300 feet wide x 150 feet long, and then there are other steeper but shorter hills in the front and side yards. I maybe should have bought a self-propelled blower, but not thinking that through prior to purchase, I bought an EX-27 powered replacement model of the same Little Wonder blower I grew up with in the 1980's. Great blowers, they'll literally blow the grass right out by the roots, if you want it it.

After a year struggling to muscle it up and down the hills, I broke down and bought a Blower Buggy from JRCO, and have thanked myself yearly for that ever since! The method they have of tying down the front wheel isn't great, I've had to re-work that component many times, but everything else about the design is a nearly perfect compromise between convenience, maneuverability, and durability. They work really well:

That's not my mower or my blower, but you get the idea.

64 outside might touch 80 today. In town for a day or so, then another road trip. Major reorgs taking place at various customers.

Managed to start burn pile and started and finished "lawn" in one day. A new record of accomplishment. Literally 12 hours on equipment.

Hope all have a great work week. Be safe.

65 and cloudy going to 77...maybe a shower.

Sorry to hear about Harvey...sounds like a terrible accident.

Nice day at the Carter Mountain Orchard yesterday with 2 yo GD and son and DIL and her relatives. Real nice place, on a small mountain overlooking Charlottesville with orchards, vineyard and barns on top...sort of a mini version of where Don works...fresh hot apple cider donuts...and apple-everything you can even imagine...tastings provided of different variety of apples, of course with all of them for sale right there if you didn't want to pick your own. Wine store, gift shop, food trucks, etc. Perfect 360 degree views of the Shenandoah NP, the piedmont and UVA area.

Then we went to their house for birthday party.

Home later to mow grass. We thought all of our hummingbirds were gone, but saw one while outside this morning. Maybe a migrator, but it sure found our feeders easy enough.

Final day of regular season major league baseball yesterday, so our fantasy leagues finished...all 3 of my fantasy teams won a trophy...virtual trophy that is! I hate to think how many hours I spent this season to win those.

Where our camp is, the leaves are much further along in color and not all that bright. Was a wet, wet summer. 40% might have fallen off by now. Those dead hangers were pole-sawed off in lower pic.
