I had plans to close the pool this weekend, but given the high temps, I’m re-thinking that plan. Looks like more low-80’s next weekend, too!

I let the water go cold, solar cover is off to make leaf management easier, and heater is turned off to save money. Debating throwing solar cover back on and kicking on the heater for a day or two

oh my neighbor is mowing his lawn on the rental house, where someone just moved in.
I need to go quietly check out who my new neighbor is, maybe take them a tomato.
now I'm looking out at my lawn and thinking, nah, two more days.
but I could go push the little electric mower so I guess I'll go get some exercise doing that on a nice
day.
and I'm sure there are more tomatoes out there, plus a pepper or two. These warm days get them going.

FWIW: I can recommend butyl tape over the tops of the joists to help prevent corrosion and rot.

Well I did do something today...Junior and me put the new roof on the tractor shed. He is just finishing up the fine tuning.
With the disks out of the spot they have been for the past 2 years I mowed that right down to the dirt. Going to set them on a skid when I get done with them and put the rock/wood bucket beside them on another skid.
Also I am thinking about moving the Jeep/summer toy garage to the back of the house where it is more protected from wind. Right beside the bush. I'll think that over this winter and maybe do something about it in the spring.

From afar, flying around in your GS seems like such a great retirement gig.

We are looking at installing an ERV. Any tips?

It really isn’t like a job, we have a super nice clientele, we fired all the needy, entitled ones a long time ago. The two copilots that I fly with are fun to hang out with. One has been a friend for 50 years, the other is my son. Scott can testify as to how hard we work….
So if I ever sound like I’m complaining, it’s like Brer Rabbit whining about the briar patch!

As far as the ERV, I’ll report back after it’s installed.

I did 'get at' a couple of minor house repairs, yesterday.

As per usual I'm off to Church in a wee bit and then the rest of the day is His.

Yes indeed, Paul and Rick had a difficult time deciding what kind of Pizza they wanted to eat at Pepe’s Pizza in New Haven, Ct along with determining how much fuel to load on the jet after lunch

I love the tape, but never tried it instead of butyl tape for joists. I'm sure that it is way better than nothing! Butyl tape has a thicker, non-hardening layer.

That butyl tape sure is sticky in the sun. Liked what I used for first 2 fourpacks, but 3rd time ordering had to get different Chinese brand which was slick cover, didn’t like as well.

Yes, I had the same issue once, and as a result have stuck with brand name butyl tape ever since...
