Good morning!!!!

Last night I discovered I never got a verizon cell phone bill this month. go online, all I could get from the $%^)$*^ app is "You owe us $251", with no explaination of why it is so high this month. it should be the same each month. Found out this morning they raised their rates again, they just raised them a few months back.

So today's mission is to get rid of verizon. Started by moving my wifes phone to another carrier (which still uses verizon network...) however, was a glitch in the esim procedure, so her phone now not working. right now waiting on a half hour "unlock" pause on the new carrier, so I can try the esim procedure again.

Need to get my son's off my account also, then I can do mine and be done with verizon wireless. They make it so friggin hard, that they make a christian want to cuss. When you use their app to get a "transfer PIN", they instantly flash a "please don't leave" message on the screen, which blocks the PIN number, and when you click to remove the message, the PIN is no longer visible. after several trys, I finally logged onto my account on my computer, and was able to see the PIN. And every time you try, you have to get a stupid verification number sent to type in twice....

When I'm done, I'll save $2300 a year with a flat rate plan, unlimited data. I did go to a mid tier plan to get faster download speed, instead of the base plan.
I switched to Mint Mobile earlier this year, I was at $75 per month, or $900 a year, with Mint Unlimited at the sale price of $15 per month so $180 a year plus fees and taxes ended up at $212 for the year as I recall. I just have to remember to renew my plan while it's on sale or it will "auto" renew at $30 month or $360 plus taxes and fee's. I also have a tablet on the same plan that I started a few months earlier to see how it worked before switching my phone.

Wngsprd where did you go? Areas left to do?
Thanks for water suggestions I’ll be in touch

Coyotes here have bounty on them mostly hunted at night require expensive scopes not enough interest for me.

Arly used to hunt deer gave it up do not like the meat. Wish I was more helpful. Now I mainly target shoot. Will shoot deer if someone wants the meat
I hiked from 311/McAfee parking to a trail on Dragon's Tooth where I had ended a previous AT hike. Still have from Craig Creek to the Tennessee line remaining. So, 335 Virginia AT miles complete, 225 to go!

Also, still working on the Shenandoah 500, with 177 to go. So, not thinking I'll finish any time soon. Looking forward to Grayson Highlands, Damascus, Chestnut Knob/Burkes Garden areas among others.

Good (Friday) morning. Overnight Low of 2.1C and it's presently 12.5C, lightly overcast & calm. Rain predicted for this arvo/evening.

Happy toes courtesy of the 'Foot Dude'.

I've had a notification from the PO to come and pick up a couple of "items". (I wonder what they could be? )

That's about it, take care all.
Have to convince owner since no one is riding horse on a regular basis, shoes are more trouble than they are worth.
True... most local riders simply trim and go 'barefoot', using a strap-on 'boot' on the fore. The Endurance Riders go with glued on pads which are very robust and are removed with some sort of solvent that doesn't damage the hoof.

This morning will be learning experience for me and teach Sophie. Should be interesting.
I was advised to simply drive around/practice, without mowing, until I got the hang of it.
I keep the left 'bar' at a steady 'speed' and steer with the right 'bar' by adjusting the speed.
It's fun!

I did enjoy it. It’s impressively advanced for a 1939 bike. 4 cylinder inline with a shaft drive. I had never heard of Nimbus before you mentioned them.

Coffee has been poured. 44° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 66° with a mix of sun and clouds. .11" of rain yesterday. Decided with the cool temperatures lately it was time to turn furnace on. Replace filter and humidifier pad. Felt good to have temperature in house 72°. Instead of 68°. Got couple of small projects done in shop. Got my 75' pressure washer hose reel mounted on a set of wheels. Going to be easier to pressure wash on the RV pad. Need to change house water filter today.
Local Pet Supplies Plus store is closing. All the Goldfish in my Garden Pond came from there.

56 going to 82...feels great outside...local weatherman just said he doesn't think we'll hit 90 again.

Buppies, glad things are better with Holly, and that Precious is settling in...you deserve some rest.

Ken, how's your son liking college so far? First couple of weeks are so exciting.

Ron, sorry your pet store is closing. I hope you find a new one that is just as good.

BEF, glad you got the cell phone fixed and the switch done. You guys have great rates...I'm still on Verizon, but not sure what alternative carrier would have service here. Even Verizon's signal isn't real strong.

Della "demanded" a hike and swim, so took her on an unofficial trail that is a short cut to a new-to-us spot at the river...she got a great swim and I didn't have to hike so far on tired feet from the day before.

56 outside right now, may get to 80 today. Should be another nice day.

Worked the tractor on the front 40 late yesterday afternoon. Got it all done. Just need to walk a few miles and whack some weeds around some fence posts today. The tractor is not as comfy as it once was to me. Seems the faster you go the rougher it gets. Who would have thought that? LOL. Anyway, I bounced around, sucked it up and got it done. The grasses in the front fields look really good quality. In a few years...maybe I'll go back to haying. Not me...someone else.

Today I will sit back after the chores and just take it in. I need to torch the burn pile, but it is just too dry right now for comfort.

Hope all have a good start to the long weekend. Enjoy and as always...be safe.

About 40 here this am and today's high is predicted to be 66 so its feeling like fall these days. Today in heading to the dentist, pick up honda generator we purchased this week and packing for a trip to northern MN. Update! Dearest just informed me she's having second thoughts about traveling this weekend due to scheduling.

Good Morning,
Vt, 53 to start going to 65. Just starting to drizzle and it looks like that will be the story for this morning.

Kathleen bought a couple of wicker rockers and a small table for the front porch here, that need assembly, so that looks like this morning’s project.

After that I may setup my portable radio station on the back side of the barn and make a few contacts. Looks like the POTA park activation will have to wait until tomorrow. 🥲

The gang will be coming up tonite, they will be late because of school. So one day of peace and quiet 😉

Mowed the grass last weekend and it hasn’t grown too much so won’t bother with that until before we leave again.

Frits, very cool video of that old motorcycle 🙏

a young lady quickly turning her back while she put on a t-shirt as she hiked "au naturale"
Billy, that’s an eye opener 😂
That is a nice park. My wifes family has a family reunion there most years
Lou, we have brought the grandkids there a few times to use the slides and swings. They love that, and we always go by the swimming area on the pontoon boat. Yes, a very nice park with crystal clear water 🙏

Hope all have a fine Friday 🙏

good morning all. Late start to another pretty day out.
going to drill and bolt my new shed ramps, finish that job, though plan on putting some kind of protectant on it.
Something definitely not slippery

hmmm. I have some experience using nonslip on a boat deck.
I have a bag of polymeric sand. As suggested, how about sprinkling that on a coat of fresh spar varnish? Want it as rough
as possible; glommed up tires full of wet grass. That would retain the wood color, which I like because it matches the wood door.

glad I got Popgadget to cut off the other end to match, looks much better out there,
can see the ramps out my office window and it was bugging me
and likely some of you... to look at those unfinished ends.
Actually I should do my varnish and sand on saw horses and then install the finished ramps.
all of this is a huge workaround vs dumping a truck load of dirt at that one end and reducing the drop outside the door.

I'm also going to look at ways to block off the openings underneath the shed. Coarse gravel under whole shed

headed to Home Depot this morning to get four more grey pavers to underlay bottom of aluminum ramps.

Nimbus Motorcycles is a historic Danish brand that produced inline four-cylinder motorcycles from 1919 to 1959. The company, Fisker and Nielsen, was originally known for making vacuum cleaners under the Nilfisk brand. The Nimbus motorcycle brand was recently revived by a new company to produce electric motorcycles

not to be confused with Nimbus Boats of Sweden, totally different Nimbus. I have a friend with one up on St Lawrence, lives in NY.

Good morning nTBN!!
50 degrees this morning under beautiful skys. Coldest in quite a while. Should be great day Mid 80s

Productive day yesterday.
Finally getting lawn work going after a summer of neglect due to bridge work.
Mowed then walked the dog then the weed eater.
Worked on weed growth on a patio outside the shop. Mowed with hand mower then sprayed all the left over vinegar from water tank flush on the weed growth. Good way to use it up.
Todays agenda will be some straightening up in the garage .
Grand daughter and family will arrive here from Ohio this afternoon for the long weekend. Looking forward to it.

Time for a second cup
Everyone have a great and safe day!!
