good morning, 75 going to 87 with a thunderstorm possible around 4:00 PM
Grounds are very dry and grass is not growing

Clearing out clutter and storage of items we will never use again making sure the trash can is full up every week

D is returning today. She understood our connection to the area from when we lived out that way and said " I can fully understand why you spent so much time driving around the Southwest. It is pretty magical"

70 this morning going to triple digits with very small chance of late shower.

Not much yesterday. Got some seat time working on cleaning up my trails. Lots of water on the trails to harness. Made some good progress on diverting and drying them out. More to do.
Spent the afternoon out of the sun. Puttered around the garage for a while.
Nothing on todays agenda except trying to stay cool outside.

Time for a second cup.

carefully went up that new tall ladder to check out rv lights and not happy to find oems seem to be glued/caulked on; no exposed screws on marker lights. Hard to believe they
have to be pried off.

Did you remove the lens and look for screws?

My camper lights, plastic cover pops off, screws under. You caulk around edge to keep water out.

Good Morning
71° and foggy high in the low 80’s with thunderstorms forecast, we got about 1/5” of rain overnight in passing showers.
It’s a good thing I don’t have any pressing outside work to do, it’s not gonna a good day to be outside.
Yesterday didn’t accomplish much here, went to memorial service in the morning, then to see a friend’s band play, spent some time teaching grandson how to play chess, then out to dinner with the family, all three kids and grandson. So it was a busy day, just didn’t involve chores.

Don, how is the farm doing? Back in operation?

No they are still closed because of the flood according to their web site.
They are encouraging people to buy Fall festival tickets in advance (40% off) and if someone donates tickets to a charity they will double the number of tickets to that charity - if you donate 2 they will donate 4 more. I suspect the fall festival will be quite crowded. I will be waiting on that "back to work" text toward the end of August.

The water volleyball group is getting better and the ball is in the air more than in the water, there are some very long volleys.

Did you remove the lens and look for screws?

I needed a smaller screwdriver to pry on it. whole thing had been installed with a lot of clear caulk around it.
the lens is a solid piece and so is the stainless trim. New one has two screw holes.
I have to take the bike rack off so I can get the ladder on a better angle.
even being up that high gives me the willies.
I'll try again.

grey day out, humid, need to find some old paint cans in basement and see if house/trim paint still good.
have a couple spots that need touching up after four years.
but need some drier weather for that,
will pry off lids and see what age has done to the paint. Usually nothing good.

Kyle, I might have missed an update from you but have been thinking about your mom...how is she doing?

Buppies, glad you 3 had a nice time on your porch yesterday. We didn't get the storms until about midnight. Woke me up.

Working outside and hiking in this heat and humidity has been rough, but we are getting it done. Got up in the mountains earlier this week...nice day in the 60s and lower humidity.

65Flight rain 6am ending around 1ish mid 70's for high.

Mrs. did the outside chores and made me E muffin.
Yesterday got the old medicine cabinet removed new vanity mirror in place and wire.
With whole lot of luck quartz rock in place.
Clean spot for new hot water heater,placing last cement block it broke in my hand other half land point first on my foot by 5pm swelling throbbing etc. was bad enough Mrs. got me to ER no broken bones very bad bruise,off my feet least 3-4 days ad of walking sticks.

Plans for today...next to nothing pretty couple naps will happen since couple ours sleep last night.
