but what do I know?

more than me...keep it coming. ;)

high 80's but nice, used the weedeater until my wrists hurt too much, including edging a few gardens.
then took the ebike off the rv and went over it carefully with 303 protectant. Then checked tires, nope, 8 pounds will not do
so out came the little Makita air compressor and I pumped them up to 30. I sheepishly admit to having no idea what it says on
the tire sidewalls, the print is so tiny and my needs anything but exact. It still had a little squish at 30.
as the Farmer said to the pig
That'll do

90F @ 16:30, HI 96F.

Got front lawn all mowed.

Prescriptions refilled just need to pick them up.

Set and marked permanent locations for about 1/2 the arbs (subject to Woman’s approval)

Got box blade removed from Kubota.

Birds and squirrels all over the feeder area, mama groundhog decided she’d come out for visit too.

Bold move.

Contacted neighbor about having him pull down a couple of standing dead ash which are both rotted off at the base with his dozer.

There’s actually three dead ones but the third isn’t rotted at the base … at least from what I can tell.

Technically at least one is on a neighbor’s property … but she’s recently widowed and the other neighbor I met yesterday is mowing her grass for her.

Doubt she needs the hassle (and potential expense) of dealing with them.

All of them are leaning my way.

Widow-makers.

PHD installed on Kubota, just need to install the 24” auger.

Afternoon all;
I just got a 100 page flyer in the mail today from this outfit;
New & Used Lawn, Turf, And Golf Course Equipment For Sale | NeedTurfEquipment.com
Very interesting browsing, almost a 100 pages of equipment inventory from numerous dealers. Mostly smaller tractors and mowers some ATV's some implements.
Most of seemed to be geared for most common TBN members most of the tractors were under 75 hp.
Dang it Lou, I see hours of reading in that link, lol.

The problem is when they are not torqued enough and the blade slips that will destroy them. Used to use the impact wrench that is difficult to hit the correct torque and is either two much or too little. Broke a couple of mounting screws and also at times had issues with blades slipping. Broken bolts are hard to get out because they are hardened and difficult to drill and reverse screw extractor it out. Have not had any problems since using the torque wrench and torqued to spec

I use torque sticks like these with an impact gun. Especially with high torque values like the loader frame bolts at 145ftlbs. But I just used one on the blade bolts for my Lazer.

this is what I ordered, doesn't look like it would compress very much but if it works
guess I need two sets

Those are not Belleville washers, but rather a cupped washer to capture the rubber bushing under it. The spacer limits how much pressure it could actually put on the rubber.

I have those too but they need more clearance under the deck than the built in raise by tilting the front axle will provide. Assuming you are using an overhead lift to raise it up to get clearance. Of course I can raise it more using the tractor and chains but not worth the effort in my opinion

Dump/town run all done. Picked up a couple of bags of black earth to fill a hole in the side lawn that I forget about until after I run through it with the mower. Got it leveled and seeded.
For the past 2 hours it has been raining cats and dogs. I guess you might call it a gully washer.
Got this warning on my phone and the weather app I use:
5:29 PM EDT Thursday 24 July 2025

Conditions are favourable for the development of dangerous thunderstorms that may be capable of producing damaging wind gusts, large hail and torrential rain.Hazards:Wind gusts up to 110 km/h (70 mph). Torrential rainfall with amounts possibly in excess of 50 mm (2")Nickel sized hail. A tornado is also possible. Timing:This evening.

In the 31 years I've been here we have NEVER had to entertain a tornado.

We've already lost the electricity once today, the battery system (Ecoflow) I scored worked good. Kept the computer running. It is too bad that I cannot seem to register for the warranty. Tried the U.S. site and that wouldn't work. Suggested that they wanted my money BUT because I am Canadian they wouldn't let me register. They gave me a Canadian site to register and that wouldn't work either.
So, IF you want an ecoflow battery system with a five year warranty please remember that they wont let you register for the warranty.
I am so finished with ecoflow. Never again.

Thanks!

That's great to know that they work. I've been reluctant to bet money on them and the equipment being torqued.

@daugen, you might look for a sticker on the door frame for the PSI ratings, though on my RV, I ended up setting my tire pressures by weighing the RV, and using the manufacturer's inflation guide for the tires. It gave a much, much smoother ride. Turned out the front axle needed to be at the absolute maximum, and the rear duallies needed to be at the absolute minimum for the tire, given the respective loads. Go figure.

All the best,

Peter
