Morning all.
Our forecast is calling for showers most every day for the next ten days, with a half inch Thursday and nuisance showers most days. No dry hat weather and soft ground for haylage, been a rough year for quality hay and even corn for silage. Instead of corn being knee high by the forth, I saw some being planted the forth.
Sitting here this morning waiting for a young nephew to get here so we can go up in the attic and finish running a starlink cable out to a new location before it gets too hot in the attic.

A better newer alarm and warning system sounds good untill you think of how often it would be used. Remember those annoying warning sirens from the cold war days and how often they failed.

All stay safe and well

Remember them well Lou. So much has changed since we were young some for the better a lot Not. Read an article yesterday that the young generation is turning back to the church for answers. I say good

Good Morning
75° and sticky outside, high of 85 with thunderstorms likely later in the day.

Yesterday was another day that went according to plan, more or less.
Generator was exercised, worked just fine. Shed got emptied and cleaned while it was out.

I fabricated some hangars to hang lawn chairs on the wall out of 1/2 hot rolled steel bar that I forgot to take pictures of, but they worked well.

When I left for the vineyard trip, wife, son and DIL were still cleaning and organizing. When I got home, I backed the generator into the shed and put the tractor away.

I’m off to Portland, ME this morning to pick up the people we dropped off last week. This should be my last “work” day for a while.

Good Morning,
Vt, 67 to start going to 85 with humidity.
Looking ahead for our week’s weather, looks like lots of rain and thunderstorms. As Drew mentioned the tropical depression is coming up the east coast.

Instead of corn being knee high by the forth, I saw some being planted the forth.
Lou, I see the same thing over this way also, some corn just popping up now, that’s really late.

Plans will be cleaning this place up after everyone leaves and head south.

Hope everyone has a great day 🙏

Morning all, 77 going to 87 and cloudy.

Well it seems we have a bear, that's what's been knocking over our garbage cans, neighbor got a picture of it knocking over his garbage can.

Spent the morning at Drew's, then off to get gas, diesel, propane and home to move more stuff around. Trim the tree out front which is getting heavy with leaves.
Found another yellow jacket nest by garage, powdered it and will check later.
Wasps by pool bar show back up to try and build another nest, so may have to deal with that tonight.
Dog walk at peddlars village and back to finish the grilled steaks.

2 years ago we had a flash flood here and lost 7 people in our very small town. We really feel for those poor families in Texas.

Be well,

Got Drews deck cleared of grass and some bolts tightened while Drew sharpened the blades.
By the end, the cardboard was full up and deck ready and greased.
Just enough differences in the deck layout from my older one to add some time to the process.

My Uncles old house in MA, only the right side still remains. The window to the left was the room which housed the town library late 1860's to 1920's.

78 and grey out, very light drizzle
only job on my list today is to replace the spark plug in rv generator

a very wet week ahead
that mower deck was a mess from cutting wet grass over last few weeks, can tell
from sound it's clogged up
unless I had a smooth concrete floor, would not do this again, just too much heavy lifting
but good to get the deck off and lube some contact points. Could not have done it without Ken's help.
have been so spoiled for years having a FEL to pick the whole thing up. Just have to use my ramps now.

having weather alarms go off on phones is a good thing
I'm sure it can be the boy crying wolf at times but best to be safe.
if you guess wrong, consequences nothing to joke about
