got the lawn all mowed. was still a little wet in the shade when I started, so tried to mow more in the sun at first. It's done.
crews burying a conduit for fiber in front of house, had road 1 lane for awhile.
clouding up outside now.

83F with light winds @ 17:00, quite comfortable in the shade.

Got 2 Mammoth Gold and 5 Kentucky Field pumpkins planted leaving space for one more Kentucky Field pumpkin in the spacing. It’s not quite ready yet … couple more days.

Also 1 Pink Banana Jumbo winter squash planted as well.

Spread out some of the mulch while I was at it.

2 Stakes driven for the north fence line. Those 2 will give me the vector for the line (they’re driven in on the edge of the concrete walkway), allowing me to place the final/end stake so the north fence line will be parallel with the back of the house.

Just came in to toss a couple potatoes in the oven to bake, Woman picked up a nice Ribeye so I’ll be grilling that. She will cook up some asparagus to go with it.

Oven just beeped … need to throw those potatoes in.

I'm p-ssed off.
Had an appointment at the hospital for some scans.
Dr sends me every year, so far so good.
It's at 7AM.
Half hour drive in, show up 1/2 hour early for registration.
Leave home before 6AM.
Messed my sleep up. When I used to work on a regular schedule I'd beat the alarm clock by 5-10 minutes. I'd set it mostly as a fail safe.
However these one offs mess me up. I was waking up every 30 minutes or less but I did beat the clock. Maybe 3 hours total accumulated sleep as I tucked in around midnight.
Get there and wait to register. Already a big line up.
Lady takes my I.D. and request form.
"Your appointment was changed to..." "They should have called you."☹️
No pressing issue, so that's to be thankful for but the inconvience factor.
What aboot the people who have to organize a ride...?
I'm just tired and cranky now.
Great day everybody.☺️
massey, I feed that right back at them after they set up the next inconvenience. "You should have been called, the appointment has been changed".
My pet peeve is the quacks that cannot seem to keep appointment times. They insist on an appointment time and then they show up late. I call them on it every time. They insist on punctuality and so do I.

BEF, I don't do ice cream but I eat frozen yogurt, usually cappuccino flavour. I get 4 days out of a 2 liter tub. (Might as well call it a 2 quart tub.)

When the bill came my father sent him a bill for my father’s time. Alter that father never waited again. The dentist tore up both bills. Moral of story your time is just as valuable as the doctors.

Morning all, 74 going up to 90 and rain later.
Spent a lot of time on the driveway, shovel for swale work, pole saw for tree and bush work.
My neighbor has not been around enough to trim up to their entrance, so I took care of it with the pole saw. A little pool time later.Son and his GF were over and stayed in the pool most of the day.

Congrats on the house sale RNG!

So my wife and I took a trip a few years before my son was born to Thailand and Cambodia, with a side trip to Laos.
Towards the end of the trip we hired a driver to take us up to an area where many of the larger statues, doors and other large objects are carved.
Walking in was a wall of carver softwood which was a forest scene, about 12' feet long and in great detail.
Large statues from Thai history, archers, dancing girls etc. many life size or larger.

We saw this acacia table in the corner we really liked and the price was right even with shipping to the US.
So we bought it hoping it would actually show up.
About a month later a bill of lading shows up and eventually I get a call to come up to Newark to the customs house to pay customs.

Then I was told is was in one of the big local warehouses, So I drove my Infinity QX4 over there and handed in my paperwork.
Everyone else in the waiting room was a full time trucker and it was fun chatting with them while waiting to be called.

When I got called, I drove my truck in to the loading bay backwards to load up, and of course it's a few feet below the dock platform.

Those same truckers came out with the warehouse crew, some 2x4s and we were able to slide the box down to the truck and it just barely fit.

It was fun being a trucker for the day and not a single one had a bad comment on my little tiny truck for my little tiny load :)

I have had the table now for about 20 years, from my back deck at my old house, to the gazebo at this one.

Table almost looks like a mirrored Texas outline.
Neat story. Southbound and down...breaker 1-9.

No ice cream for me :-(
Sorry. My wifey is counting my calories and limiting my goodies. She bought me some low fat sugar free stuff. Probably made with seaweed...
I feel your pain....but I have lost some pounds. More to go.

Got my eye Rx exam yesterday Massey, dialated my eyes. Was very bright sun on the way home but the worst was when the sun glistened off of windshields.

Work busy with a bunch of meetings and stuff but not my "need to do" tasks.

Prayers for our team, especially Buppies and Holly, Ted and Dona.

Coffee is brewing. 61° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 83° with mostly clear skies. Grocery shopping was good. Shelves were full. Helped neighbor chop up a patch of thistle. Then returned home to rest my foot. Grass cutting on top of the list for today.
Every day these 3 Toms line up waiting for the Hens to arrive.

Kyle, you are right. I do not need a new car. But I would like some of the newer features like Blind Spot warnings.

Everyone stay well and safe.

Good Morning All.

good morning all
going to be a warm day, 68 out now going up into 90's in full sun.
before it gets too hot out, need to wash rv
then a trip downtown to supermarket for a few things

no plans for next few days, am happy to just chill.

some of the features on newer cars like better backup cameras, 360 cameras, auto stop, rear and side
blind spot monitoring, etc all make driving safer and easier. All the buzzers and dingers and nannies
are the unfortunate consequence but some like lane control usually you can just turn off.
if I had autostop on my car in NC, I would not have run into back of some lady who stopped for no reason in
road ahead of me. Instead first accident in 50 years I did several grand of damage which came out of my pocket. Accident was 100 percent
my fault, but that silly beeper would have saved me a huge hassle. Having autostop on my next car
was a requirement.
