Popgadget, are the slats on your plasma cutter also stainless? Or just the tank? I've decided I hate the rusting that goes on…..
The slats are mild steel, the tank and the brackets that hold the slats are stainless.
I have found that if i keep the PH above 8, I don’t get rust in the water. I use Borax to raise the PH, no fancy additives or fluids. Overnight, all the slag and murk settles to the bottom of the tray, leaving clear water.

73F and Fair @ 21:45, heading down to around 66F for the overnight low.

High today hit 87F according to a nearby LWS.

Ended up being a rather beautiful day.

Started off by refilling the hopper feeder, both tube feeders, and one suet feeder. Also scattered some seed for the ground feeders.

Got a good look at an old Graniteware basin that was sitting outside overnight. I'd say we got closer to 1.5" to 2" of rain.

After that I went up to the shop and punched another hole in my belt to keep the pants up a little better.

Then I hooked up the core aerator to the Cub and got most of the bottom end of the front lawn aerated. Very bottom was way too wet.

Got a good bit of the back and sides done before I pushed my luck and got stuck.

Went up and got the Kubota and pulled the Cub up to higher ground.

After that I got cleaned up and headed off to Salineville for the final hho/diesel extraction.

Stopped on the way out and picked up a case of brewski's for the owner.

Nice ride out in the country.

Ended up pumping out another 150 gallons or so before the pump started sucking air.

So the final tally was right around 755 gallons.

Got back home right around 18:30.

Woman was thinking Jersey Mike's for dinner so we hopped in Her car and headed off to grab chow.

Unfortunately by the time we got back to Pav's Creamery there was a line ... so had to forego the Hot Fudge Peanut Butter Malt ...

All in all a good day though.

Hope everyone had a decent day and has a peaceful evening.

Good evening! The Germans are coming! The Germans are coming! They are here. They got a taste of the Texas heat experience, 99˚ when they arrived in Austin. We had a cool off by the pool with frozen margaritas They had an early bedtime since they have been up for 24 hours. 13 hours in the air and the rest in airports. This was the couple (my 5th cousin and her husband) that got married on our ranch in Lexington.

The pool was chilly but I had to test out my new shoulder and it did fine. It helps when the air temperature is 15˚ warmer than the water. I'm ready for next month's snorkeling in the Caribbean.

Drinking first cup of coffee. 57° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 83° with lots of sun. Grocery shopping went good. Ended up cutting all 4 acres of my grass yesterday. .47" of rain overnight. Noisey storm came thru about midnight. Waking Sassy and me up. Need to do some conserve energy today.

good morning all
fairly warm and very foggy this morning.
early start, lots to do

need to make two stops in town before I leave.
first is to drop off radishes to my brother, then to stop at gas station
hunting a manual grease gun. I have those zerk lubers on axles of trailers, but could
not get my air operated grease gun to the trailer, blocked and too far away due to rv in driveway.
I had ordered a brand new Lincoln manual grease gun, and yesterday afternoon when I tried to load the cartridge, mechanism so stiff I could not
pull the handle all the way out. So I just unscrewed it, big mistake, heavy spring shot out and would not go back in properly.
And just like RNG, now I have red grease flying around. Impossible to get spring back in, covered in grease, how does one spell a mess...
I gave up, will deal with it when I get home. But it's been a couple years since those bearings have been greased and I really don't want
an axle bearing letting loose on the NY Thruway.

so hopefully local gas station has a manual grease gun.

time for coffee, a shower and something to eat.
hope you all have a good day. Will check back in when I can.

63 heading to 90. Maybe a storm late today...yesterday's missed us, but am glad.

Grass growing an inch a day, so need to mow, but it never dried yesterday. Maybe today.

I gave my wife a couple of raised bed planters, so picked up some bags of soil for them yesterday and will assemble and fill them today while the grass grows. Tractor wants a lube job, so will try to get to that. Maybe sneak in a hike while making a dump run, too...and take Della on another dozen short walks...the vet said she would likely suffer from "play depravation" without her frequent games of soccer, tug of war, chase and long hikes. Vet was correct.

BEF and Bupps, hope you both got a good night's sleep.

Don, enjoy your visitors!

Outside chores done E muffin time.

Enjoy your day all.

Good Morning,
Ct, 60 to start going to 74. Time to get going here, New Jersey here we come 😉

Strange we collect the fees at the testing!
Steve I paid the VE examination fee of $15 but I don’t pay the FCC fee until they send me an email requesting payment. Yesterday I finally got my CSCE certificate, so hoping to hear from the FCC in the next few days 😉

Hope all have a great day 🙏
