in drizzle late yesterday got the hitch finished on new car.
very unusual rear door, though I like it, swings to the side not up and down.
so the height of the ball just clears bottom of door.
I won't be pulling anything that needs the larger ball anyway but the adjustable hitch
is great for a small trailer, so tongue isn't so elevated.

delighted to see at least one of my new birdhouses has found a family
having rv nearby not good, lot of bird poop...

good morning, 63 going to 77 rained about 1/2 inch overnight

Pond is holding and no overflow this morning

Worked on drilling some treaded rods in to hold the shelf for steel length storage and the cordless drill's clutch was slipping so went up and got a bigger cordless to finish the job.

The goslings are getting big

Good Morning,
Ct, 60 to start going to 70 with humidity and chance of showers.

My left shoulder has been really sore the last week or so, went to an orthopedic Dr yesterday and he gave me a shot, a lot better today.

Run around doing last minute pick ups before leaving for our cruise tomorrow morning.

No word from the FCC requesting payment for license fee yet. It’s been 5 days already, so don’t know what’s going on 😒

Hope all have a good day 🙏

63F with light rain @ 09:00, calling for a high of 83F for the day.

Got a good start on cleaning up garage yesterday, moved a bunch of stuff outside that won't get ruined if it gets wet so I actually had some room to work.

... someone ... has a habit of moving things from outside (and various other places) and then just randomly piling them up in the garage ... rather than determining if there is an actual spot where it should be stored, and if not making one.

I call this "the nesting instinct" ...

Drives me nuts.

Spent most of the afternoon getting some seeds planted though:

IMG_3666 copy.jpg

8 Zucchini Summer Squash

8 Straight Neck Yellow Summer Squash

8 Straight 8 Cucumbers

5 Burpless Bush Cucumbers

14 Okra

Amazon came while I was doing that and dropped the two fuel filters for the dispensing pump and the 2" camlock ---> MGH fitting.

Took a break towards the end of that and ran down to the garden center and picked up two flats of plants, all brassicas - cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, even a couple of kohlrabi - which neither of us has ever had.

Swung by the gas station on the way back and got 3.5 gallons for the Cub, put that in and refilled the one empty tank when I got back.

Missed the boat on getting peppers started this year, so probably another trip back down for those at some point. Will probably limit it to sweet bell and medium hot peppers as we still have a bunch of dried and frozen hot peppers.

Started spitting late in the day, that eventually developed into a brief downpour with some rumbles of thunder.

Went out after dinner and took the Cub around back and got all the pots with seeds put up on the shelves and then took the Cub over and put it away in the barn.

Around 21:00 thunderstorms started rolling in, with lots of lightning and thunder and heavy rain.

Local weather station reports we got 1.07" overnight ... so things remain well-watered here.

And the grass will no doubt be growing like crazy ... 🤬

Refilling feeders on agenda for today, not sure what all else.

Time for that second cup.

Hope everyone is having an enjoyable and decent day ... (y)

Just a weed ... but it sure is pretty:

Well they found out why power went out, working on it now. Just a little way up the hill from me:

Picture from the local police, just a little fire up on the pole.

68°F and 0 rain

Two mysteries from yesterday to address today.
I had moved the Mule to the house in preparation for a follow on trip. It started and died and didn’t restart.

Attempted to open the driveway gate with the remote App on Telegram. No success. Canada Dave had built a custom board with custom commands. A temporary breadboard, he thinks some loss of contact.

Our spaghetti and meatball repast was excellent

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

long morning but finally home with new tires on car and a doing fine by my family doc. 👍
but he said my cholesterol was too high and to stop fiddling with the statins and take them. Ok, they really do work.
though I'm sure there are side effects like cramping.

now to hook the john deere lawn mower up to my trailer, thanks to the marvelous hitch Popgadget welded on it, and then
I load the Gravely on the trailer. This is all behind the garage. Then I drive backwards around the house(pretty sure hitch works less well getting pushed???) and maneuver the whole thing over near the
driveway where I can hook the suv to it. Just have to do it slowly and methodically.
first time for everything
and whatever I do, I can't run over my new rose bushes which are now in the way

want to rest but need to keep moving and take advantage of no rain at moment
total of 3.32 on the gauge, 65 and very cloudy
