Good morning TBN!!
63 heading to 90 today. T'storms late and in the morning. Time for the Spring weather pattern.
Expensive day yesterday. Went and picked up rebar. 25 5/8" x 20' pieces. 500lbs. $300. Also had a load of ballast stone and another of Rip Rap. 18 tons each. I don't know the total on that yet.
Getting step count back up. 8k three days in a row.
Not sure yet what the day holds but will probably start putting rebar in place after I return the borrowed trailer to my friend. Not in a hurry but I do want it done. Inconvenient at best.

But it's time for a second cup
Everyone have a great and safe day!!

Good morning, the low temperature is 61 and going to a high of 72°F. Wind SE 8 mph. T-storms.
The rain pounding on the steel roof woke me up this morning.

I should have left the Dodge out last night, could have got a free wash.

I know a couple of cats that will be staying in today. They are like me and think they are sugar. They might melt.

Back down the rabbit hole until the lights go off. They will, they do usually after a real heavy rain and then the sun comes out and the lights go out.

Have a safe day all

good morning all
fairly warm and very foggy this morning.
early start, lots to do

need to make two stops in town before I leave.
first is to drop off radishes to my brother, then to stop at gas station
hunting a manual grease gun. I have those zerk lubers on axles of trailers, but could
not get my air operated grease gun to the trailer, blocked and too far away due to rv in driveway.
I had ordered a brand new Lincoln manual grease gun, and yesterday afternoon when I tried to load the cartridge, mechanism so stiff I could not
pull the handle all the way out. So I just unscrewed it, big mistake, heavy spring shot out and would not go back in properly.
And just like RNG, now I have red grease flying around. Impossible to get spring back in, covered in grease, how does one spell a mess...
I gave up, will deal with it when I get home. But it's been a couple years since those bearings have been greased and I really don't want
an axle bearing letting loose on the NY Thruway.

so hopefully local gas station has a manual grease gun.

time for coffee, a shower and something to eat.
hope you all have a good day. Will check back in when I can.
For as few grease fittings as you have now days one of these may work well for you;

Morning all, 66 going to 80 and wet.
Power was back around 10 something, crew was still out there working until the afternoon.

Did go out during a dry spell and get the roof rack on, fiddly and over-engineered, but it's done.

More college planning and paperwork.

Congrats on the Cert Scotty

Wife has to work this weekend, son off to Senior Prom tomorrow.

Be well,

Truck looks so lonely down by my neighbors. PECO has been incredible at fixing all the wires from fires and downed trees. They learned a while ago how to put in bypasses and do the heavy work another day.

On grease guns and pulling out the rod to load a new cartridge. One thing that I do is unscrew the barrel a few turns to allow air in when pulling out the rod. That way I am not fighting the suction created in the cylinder. Similarly when loading I don't screw in the barrel all the way in the beginning to allow air to escape and that way it is primed and ready to go after releasing the rod and tightening the barrel

Good Morning to All who Celebrate! Currently 64° heading to a high of 84°, cloudy with rain promised mixed in with thunderstorms.

Despite my long trip to the Northwest (6hr round trip for work), this week was a little more sedate than the past. Finalized and booked my trip to the Philippines this September, so that will be a holiday to look forward to and spending some time with the GF.

Parents shoved off for the beach on Thursday and happily left me with all the mowing. I'm better than halfway done with it thanks to a break in the rain and things dried out just enough to run the ZT. Didn't have a chance to get the truck set up for an inspection, probably will need some belts. heard some squeaking when the battery fiasco was going on. So that will need looked at sooner than later.

Other than that, I need to set the havaheart trap out for the fat groundhog that lives under the gazebo by the pool. Now that the dog isn't here, they might feel extra comfy.

Drew, Safe travels!
Buppies and BEF hope you all can catch some extra zees
L4N: Hope the lights stay on in the Great White North!

All not specified, please stay safe out there and guard your health!
Prayers for those ailing and recovering!
