Just looked at the temperatures for the next 10 days and looks like we are beyond the hard long freezing spells.

A couple weeks ago my wife lost her baby brother at the age of 60 due to throat infection and abscessed tooth leading to heart failure. Being 11 years older she did a lot of his child care and basically keeping him out of trouble when he was little.

Fired up the 1983 JD 310B backhoe today and blew a hose when putting the FEL through some range of motion exercises and lost a lot of fluid out the bottom side. Thankfully the two college students that my son has recruited to help his mom with the horses botth are getting degree and hydraulics is part of their engineering degree, so we'll start stepping through that headache.of hose replacement.

About 5-6 years I ordered a package Methylene Blue dye but was never able to convince myself that it was safe for human consumption. I ordered a 1 oz bottle of medical grade methylene blue and it came in a couple days ago. I noticed this morning my head and sinuses are clear for the first time this winter without taking any of the over-the-counter stuff that never did quite work well, at least this past winter. Being able to freely breathe, I find to be a good thing. If anyone knows of any one that has died from taking methylene blue orally, let me know. Thanks.

Good morning TBN!!

32* now with a high around 70 today but with windy gusts. Puts us in a burn warning,
Finally got our glasses ordered. Ins. covered a pretty good amount. About $1k for both of us out the door.
Got that done and stopped at HF again for a pair of rims and tires for my torch cart and a cover for the new genny. By the time we got home most of a beautiful day was shot. Puttered a bit and dinner then called it a day.
Maybe more productive today or maybe just R&R.

Time for a second cup.
Everyone have a great and safe day!!

Good Morning ,
Vt, 35 to start going into the low 40’s !

Happy 6th birthday Sassy ! 🦴

Scoot(VT) you have outdoor privy?
Yes, but only for males and then only for Number 1 !! 😂

The gang arrived about 6 pm and Nana put together a nice spread of lobster tails, grilled filets , asparagus with tomatoes and garlic, mashed potatoes and broccoli! Then came out with double chocolate birthday cake ! Had to correct the wife on Dans age ! She thought he was 42 , she was short one year ! 😉

Sitting in front of the wood stove again, but I have been informed it’s almost time for me to make bacon ! 😂

I’m pretty sure the kids will be sliding in the field later ! Should be a good day for it ! 🙏

Maybe I can get into the shop for a few hours ! It’s tough to concentrate on any involved project when there is so much going on here ! 😉

Gale, my condolences to you and your wife on the loss of your BIL ! 🙏

Happy, what’s going on with FEMA ? I think you mentioned that they did come out to visit, any new developments?

David and others, thanks for BD wishes for our oldest! 🙏

Hope all have a blessed day ! 🙏

Good Morning!!!! 64F @ 6:45AM. Sunny. High 72F. Winds SSW at 5 to 10 mph.
I was awakened about an hour ago by the wind causing the range hood flapper door to bang in the kitchen. Got up and went outside to retrieve a large sheet of cardboard I'd been laying on under the firetruck yesterday. It had only gone four feet from where I'd left it, but it was on its way to nowhere.

Did some paperwork yesterday to start, filtering out receipts on the solar power system to up the cost basis for this house at tax time. Then the last realtor showed up with pretty much the same story as the others told. Properties are in short supply, but demand is down because both interest rates and asking prices are way up. Add to that the super high cost of homeowners insurance, and not many buyers are left. Still some people are either financially blessed or have to move into this area for one reason or another, and the only way to tell if a property will sell is to get it on the market. A neighbor passed along another realtor's name, but after a few minutes on the phone with her I was still left thinking the first realtor I interviewed will do the best job. He was supposed to have a proposal to me on Monday, and unless he screws it up, he'll get the job.

Got a tank of RM43 sprayed before a neighbor showed up to work on the firetruck. He'd brought along a spare fuel pump, but we couldn't get anything to come out of the tank. Used my transfer pump to empty the tank and got seven gallons, so it wasn't for lack of fuel. I heard bubbling in the tank when he blew through the fuel line, so there must be some kind of check valve in the line. There's a 1/4" pipe thread plug in the bottom of the tank, so we'll use that to run a new line to an inline filter and then on to a new fuel pump and into the carb. Probably get everything from Amazon and finish it on the next visit.

Ran another five or six tanks of RM43 before the side-by-side overheated and I had to stop. Not a new problem, but one that wasn't remedied by replacing the water pump last year. It's not a problem until I start running up and down the hill at slow speed while spaying. Easy to live with because I don't spray with it very often. If the wind calms down I'll finish spraying this morning, otherwise tomorrow.

Power washing and limbing on the agenda for today.

TGIF gang!
My SXS tends to try and over heat in low rpm puttering work. I haven't installed it yet but I have a Prius water pump to install in the coolant line to the radiator.

Happy, what’s going on with FEMA ? I think you mentioned that they did come out to visit, any new developments?
They did come out and we got deposit in our account about a week later. Gave us well over the initial estimate.
Now we are waiting on the contractor to deliver an 8' x 20' steel tank he found.
Then my work begins to cut the ends out.
Seems like it's taking for ever as it's been over a month.
Things don't usually go per my time table like have it done yesterday! Moving forward is good though.
