Long time TBN member and original moderator @Bird Senter has passed away at the age of 84.

For more than two decades, Bird was a cornerstone of TBN. He was a prolific contributor to TBN both as a member and moderator, and an all-around great guy. I had the pleasure of meeting him in Dallas about ten years ago.

So much of his wisdom and humor was shared on TBN and I'm very grateful that we all were lucky enough to have him here.

Good (Wednesday) morning. Overnight Low of 11.6C and it's presently 19.9C, clear with a breeze. There was a paltry 0.1mm in the gauge from a very brief 'downpour' yesterday evening.

Yesterday's trip to Launie was fairly successful... and I was glad that I spent the majority of the day driving in my ute with the A/C on! I was able to get two watches' batteries replaced. And a good thing too as it turns out that he was closing down in a weeks time. My favourite clothing store was also having a 'closing down' sale (it's nation-wide too).

When I arrived home @ 1620, my temperature gauge showed 37.4C (that's 99.3F)! Fortunately, 1.5hrs later, a cold front came through and dropped the temp to 24C. That high temp sure felt like an oven and 'crisped up' the grass.

Today is 'into town' day for groceries, petrol and the PO as I've received a notification that I've got mail. This arvo it's time to move the horses from Paddock #6 to #1... depending on how I feel, I'll need to chain-harrow Paddock #6 after that or tomorrow.

BEF - that's great news, one worry down!

I still want to see it in writing... Got an escalation clause for future pipeline pricing, but only after 10 yrs. I had also tried for a penalty clause if they were late paying, but dropped that to push the escalation clause.
We got most of what we asked for. Just the price increase paid for the lawyers.

Good evening.
Today started out about 40, didn’t change much, it’s 36 now.
Slow moving day, did a little preparation for tomorrow’s trip to Orlando, hoping to be back before the snow.

Played catchup with some paperwork, chased the stick vacuum around the old folks home to get the large tufts of Zoe fur before the Roomba goes to work.

I’m quite happy to have the radiant heat work exactly as designed. It worked well before, but it left me a bit puzzled at times.

Got a bit more automotive maintenance done, Amazon brought me a nice funnel that threads into the oil filler on Toyotas, and I’m pleased to say that it worked great.

Not much else gonna happen tonight, I’m shifting gears into work mode. Can’t complain, I haven’t had a trip since before Christmas. But tomorrow will be completely consumed by the trip to Orlando. I’m leaving a little early as the leg down is empty, and I’ve got a friend that’s coming along, he will airline home over the weekend. I’m going to pick him up and give him a ride to the airport with me.

Ron, Thanks for re-posting here. His wife of 59 years died a month before in September.
Bird and Harvey were at all my Texas project get-togethers. He even helped us with Jim's outdoor elevator and sidewalk in Jim's final days. May Bird R.I.P.

Good evening all. Motivation has proven most elusive. Front went through farther than expected so no 60's today. 54 for the start, foggy, light breeze. Light wind, partly cloudy sky, and high temp was at 12:01 AM at 63ºF, low temp was 47ºF mid morning and mid afternoon. Made coffee to start day, grief share, putter, was going into town but fighting diarrhea Dollar General had Imodium close by, and that did the trick. Stomach now shrunk, so might help with with weight loss.
