This is headlights and there is no way to stop this from happening, modern tech ya know.kenmbz, if you go into the menu for the computer you should be able to cancel the drl (daytime running lights) if they are not mandatory in your state.
Or you could change them over to LED. The drl module in my Wrangler gave up after 3 years and I never replaced it. I know when I need headlights, I don't need them coming on in broad daylight.
To switch over to LED might be an option, but I haven't looked too closely since the bulbs go every two years, truck is 2011 so might not be around more than 2 years from now.
Also needs to have the AC/heater fixed, since the drivers side air door is stuck, that means complete removal of dash, core etc. Not a cheap job. No way to drill it to unstick door either. Bad design.
I think for $40 just replace headlight bulbs, new tires next month and start looking for a replacement (used) truck.
