25° and 4-5” of snow so far.
Day started with decision to cancel worship, except they said I would try to stream an old service. So I drove to the church building to grab the backup drive to have something to stream, and grabbed breakfast, and got home just as snow was starting. Was 35° then.
Managed to stream an old class, then a worship.

Spent lots of time updating church records
If I had known, could have picked up drive last night when I went for Chinese food. Pad Thai I got wasn’t that good. Little disappointed in the food, but glad I had food.
Haven’t been out in snow yet. Roads look bad. They shut down I70 over the mountain.

Good (Monday) morning. Overnight Low of 14.1C and it's presently 21.9C, high-overcast & calm.

I've got a few 'projects' on the card for today [or tomorrow ;) ]. I noticed yesterday that an interior double entrance door in the Church can do with an application of linseed oil.

That's about it, take care all.

just watched "best of" recap of Eagles game.
for someone who doesn't watch a lot of football, that
sure was an exciting game, particularly as the snow got deeper.
looked like the old days with Green Bay where you couldn't see the goal line

looks like snow will be done here in an hour or two

Drinking hot cup of coffee. -1° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 9° with partly cloudy skies. Worked on modifying quick pin attachment for tractor. Most of the time was spent looking thru collection of scrap metal. Got started on one piece in lathe. Just not able to stand in front of Lathe and mill to do projects as long as I use to. Wish I had updated to CnC. With how cold it is outside it's good to work in a heated shop. More work on shop projects today.

Good morning all,
15° now still snowing lightly, that should end shortly. Looks like 6 or 7” using my calibrated eyeball. Highs in the low 20’s with sun breaking out mid morning. Winds WNW 10-20 mph tapering off towards evening. Seems like the guessers got it pretty close 👍.

Only plans for today are cleanup the mess when daylight arrives and then feet up the rest of the day!

Enjoy your day everyone
Stay safe and healthy
Prayers for all

somewhere in one of these drawers I think I have a pair of long underwear.
Those under my heavy jeans will help today, with an undershirt too.
time for layers
I was able to get car back in garage yesterday afternoon so should have straight shot out the driveway
with Ariens blower. After I brush off the expedition and be sure to aim chute in opposite direction.
first I need to shovel walkway
from an exercise standpoint should do it all by hand but then I need
to "exercise" the snowblower too, never got used last year. I want to burn as much gas as I can today and
replace it with fresh. EFI engine doesn't burn much gas, one tank can do driveway several times.

no more slips and falls guys
going to be very slippery out there with black ice remaining

20 going to 28. We got an about an hour's worth of snow yesterday, but none stuck...still some on ground from 2 weeks ago. Won't see it above freezing again until maybe Thursday afternoon.
--8 now and going down to -22 overnight.
I especially like having these deep cold temperatures in Spring after a warming trend. It kills the blackflies and mosquitoes.
I was thinking the same thing about the deep freeze knocking down the tick population.

Ron, great woodpecker site. We have them all here, except the black-backed.

Sodamo, your dogs are spoiled! Aren't they all.

Had the HVAC man come out yesterday. My geo unit is dripping water from an internal check valve used to circulate water to the hot water heater. He didn't have the part, so another trip, hopefully back today.

Ordered Turbo Tax Business from Costco website...$30 off. Plan to download and install today. This cold week will be good to get taxes done, or at least as much as I can, not having received all tax forms yet.

Plus, now that the ground has frozen again, need to go back to the woods and pick up the rest of the rounds I cut and bring to the splitter.

Planning on watching inauguration today. Prayers for Kyle's mom, folks in Appalachia still suffering from Helene, California fire victims, and our great country.

Good Morning from Central Texas. At 4:30am, temp 22.8 degrees with a 12.1 degree dew point. Possible snow for us later ? Local meteorologists have every possible model run and forecast to guarantee they are correct.😀
Like many weapons systems, the C-130 Hercules aircraft has undergone upgrades / improvements. Lockheed Martin delivered the C-130J-30 Super Hercules last year. There are 19 mission variants and 22 countries using this 70 year old design including the AC-130J "ghostrider" gunship.
The "J-30" version added 15 feet to the fuselage, climbs faster, increased range and digital avionics for flight and communications.

Good morning! 21.7F, light E wind, clouding up at noon and chance of snow at 7PM.

Salty water this morning I will try to get the water softener serviced today, It is in the garage and the garage is 59˚. I will call as soon as they open. No frozen water lines.

The internet was off line this morning, just a re-boot solved that problem. Gas pressure is normal and we have not lost electricity.
