thank you Riptides, that was wonderful

overwhelmed with motivation
if only it was warmer...

rapid unscheduled disassembly
SpaceX second stage blew up though first stage
amazingly returned to base like the world's biggest Roomba.
Boca Chica Texas
there is also a Boca Chica Florida in the Keys
but I never took the boat down that far.
We stopped instead half way down Biscayne Bay
at Boca Chita key, which was a Rockefeller gifted national park that built
a storm proof marina with huge cleats to tie up too.
No facilities, had to bring your own water and run the generator, but what a glorious spot to see
the sun go down.
it was my favorite boat picture too
lot of mosquitoes...
I never slept well anchoring out so this was much more comfortable to me.
whoever bought those dock cleats didn't skimp, they were built for large ships.
I was using 3/4 lines with 24" loops so mine fit but others with small lines had to fiddle.

cam phasers
a term I likely should have understood better before I bought this Expedition.
Though I did not hear any engine rattle or tick, I really wasn't listening for it.
apparently the 3.5 ecoboosts up to 2021 have a variable timing part that goes bad
in the 80-100k mile range. New improved "closed" cam phaser solves problem, but 4000 repair bill since engine
has to come apart.

anyone have an ecoboost with cam phaser problems?
sure want to identify that during my 90 day warranty.
otherwise repair shops seem to think it's a reliable motor.

I thought I had gotten away from hemi tick.
now maybe I have phaser rattle?
one reason I'm going full synthetic on next oil change.

I also read that the 10R80 ten speed trans really wants to have its fluid changed more often
than required, particularly if towing. Another excellent product, until it isn't.
Well Drew hope you have better luck than I did with Ford and the Cam Phasers noisy at startup sounded like a diesel. They would not fix under warranty said it was normal! No more Ford's for me.

Good breakfast, except they didn't inform us of the time change, and we were late... 39deg and sunny.
cut the screw that I couldn't get out of the mailbox alarm. Took alarm out to mailbox and couldn't get it to work with the magnet, however it triggers in the house. Too much traffic on the road to mess with it any more.
removed insulation and spray foamed around another basement window, one more left to do.

what was the mileage on your truck?
am curious when this set in
once it starts to clatter, unlikely timing on engine right so won't end well.
at least the new and improved part is actually supposed to last
lot of parts to take off and hopefully only done by someone experienced and qualified.
I'm buying a seven year old car. Unlikely Ford will step up at this point. But the dealer gave me their own
full 90 day warranty. They can choose to fix it or refund my money. Because I'm sure not dumping another 4 grand into this truck, when
I already paid top of range.

on my way back from dealer tomorrow going to try to stop by Popgadget's home and he will put
his OBD reader on it, see if any valve related codes. Or any codes at all.

My oldest friend has a F150 with same engine, same concerns. What we don't know is what percentage of engines
this will become a problem for at 100k miles.

Good Evening,
Kathleen sent me to a walk-in clinic this afternoon! I have been coughing for the last 2 weeks, she said I woke her up last night with a coughing fit so I agreed to go !

They tested me for the flu and Covid , negative results! She gave me a script , two different anti biotics ! Started them this afternoon, so hoping to feel better soon ! Also have a sinus headache, hoping for some needed sleep for tonite ! 🙏

Hope all have a good evening! 🙏

Good (Saturday) morning. Overnight Low of 13.1C and it's presently 19.3C, overcast with a light breeze. No rain predicted, though.

Not much planned for today. House lawn and front paddock did get mowed yesterday arvo.

That's about it, take care all.

Now to wait for the Alberta Clipper that is coming.
After the snow that is coming, the temperature is going to drop like a rock. Back down into the minuses.
We are supposed to get some of the Clipper action down here on Tuesday. Thankfully, we'll be spared the "minuses" but they're saying low 20s with the chance of some white precipitation. 😲

/ Good morning!!!! #201,976
5 inches of snow in the forecast for Tuesday and then deep freeze thereafter.
serious winter weather but normal, I guess this the Alberta Clipper visiting?
folks will be slip sliding away
let's all be super careful to avoid falls
every year someone seems to take a bad fall.

funny I ordered some nice climbing roses from Jackson & Perkins for my new fence.
so now the ads that pop up here are pretty roses in a J&P ad across the page.
too bad they don't smell nice...
and tires over on the right side because I've been looking at them lately.

my brother is picking me up in the morning and taking me to dealership to get my car.
all the way down 611 to Jenkintown, near where the Willow Grove Mall was where the big circus came to town way
back when. Willow Grove Park had a big ferris wheel too.
All built up now.

let's see if they filled up the gas tank. 26 gallon tank, that's worth something...
going to rain tomorrow and then snow thereafter, nice clean car isn't going to stay clean long.
They salt and brine the roads like mad so there are white clouds for days afterward.
