good morning all
brrrrrr
21 out, was 64 in living room, on went the electric wood stove.

headed to hospital this morning to get routine blood labs drawn
no frost on car, finally in garage
just have to be very, very careful about not scraping anything in there.
every beeper is going off, close everywhere, so hard to prioritize.
Going to take some rubber wheel chocks and set them by front tires
really don't want car grill impaled by pressure washer

hooked up a birdbath heater yesterday, will be interesting to see if it kept ice out at these temps.

Phil, your skills and creativity are wonderful.

Ron, great photo, bird seems to come out of pure white background

Good Morning,
Ct,18 to start going to 38, which is doubtful IMO ! We got some frozen precipitation last night, first sleet then a bit of snow !

Work today, I better bundle up !

Drew do you keep your snowman inflated 24-7?
Well Don, you asked Drew but since I have a snowman I will answer ! 😉 No, only from dusk to 10 pm !

Kathleen is having some lower back pain, we have been using Voltaren and a heating pad ! Hopefully nothing serious! 🙏
We’ll need to get going here, maybe a couple of scrambled eggs and then off to work ! Hope all have a good day !🙏

good morning, 21 going to 39 and with high wind advisory. Felt really cold walking Cody this morning and that wind goes through everything. Getting back the warm clothes, Fjaalraven down jacket, Ororo heated west, etc all to keep up the 8000 step goal which I managed to do yesterday

Infusion for wife went well yesterday. Hope she will get some relief in the next few days after it goes to work

19 outside this AM, heading to lower 40's. Dry here.

Nothing on the agenda pressing. Spent most of yesterday hanging the scalping frame for the bathroom barn door. No drill bits were broken. No more blood drawn. Seemed like a win. The door itself needs painting, and the walls need touch up. Kind of cold for the door since it is an outside paint project. Hope the sun comes out and warms it up a few degrees. Looks cloudy though.

We get buzzed quite often here. We are on the edge of western Quantico. The largest undisturbed "green space" remaining in this area. Particularly disturbing are the large ordnance drops in foggy conditions. We also get the DC National Guard flyovers at Mach speeds. Close enough to see their weapons mounts. We have only lodged two complaints over the years. Both were large explosions that really rattled the bones. The USMC maintains a web site for both schedules and complaints. It's all part of living next to a base though. We are also super close to the Dulles exclusion zone. So we get to witness take-off and landing patterns on occasion. The night landings are impressive as you can observe the multiples of aircraft on the horizons all stacked up waiting their turn in the flight paths to land. Sometimes they look like UFO's hanging in the sky when their landing lights come on.

Hope all have a great day. Be safe.

Good Morning,
I have been using Harry’s razors for a couple of years, they last a long time for me. I don’t have a very coarse beard, that’s probably why ! I don’t shave every day either ! 😉

   / Good morning!!!! #200,150
We are in the landing path for Dulles as well for the planes coming in from Europe. They change pattern at times and come in really low even though we are 50 or 60 miles out from Dulles. Also we often have the air traffic to Camp David right above us, some of the rotating wing ones are really load as well as the large helicopters. Also in line for emergency flights to the nearby trauma center

   / Good morning!!!! #200,151
The early morning flights and last flights coming in in evening come over the house some lower than others. If it’s winter we do not even hear them but in summer if we are outside we do. Never bothered me, when we lived at the lake I’ve had F14s so close could see pilot if I waved got their wave back cool

No airplanes here, the occasional egg beater. Usually hydro checking their lines. We used to get the cops flying overhead in a Cessna in the fall looking for plantations, but since pot was legalized we don't get them.

As for razors, when I was in the Air Force it was shave every day. After I got out I continued the practice for about 25 years. I tried electric razors and found they burned, so I went back to Shick injector razors. I haven't shaved now in almost 40 years. My beard comes down to the first third of my breast bone. My hair is longer, it is down to my t!ts. My barber died. That is my excuse and I am sticking to it. :ROFLMAO:

This place is all plowed out, but since I will be doing it again in the afternoon, I will wait until then to plow everybody else out.

Good Morning
21° with a high of 36 today supposed to get windy and ugly tomorrow.

First question is- what’s a razor?

Yesterday I actually got started on my agenda, I got the oil and filter changed on the Carryall, but got distracted by a starter generator repair for my son. He got it off the workman, but here wasn’t a replacement immediately available, so I disassembled it cleaned it up and freed the stuck brush so it would work again. He ordered a new one to have on the shelf for the next time.
The next distraction was having to deal with some airport authority issues, at least we got that done over lunch.

Next distraction was to go to Lapp Structures (as recommended by Drew) with my wife to look at sheds for her to store all her alpaca wares. A lot of choices, but they were very helpful. We just need to figure out exactly what we need and get it ordered.

Next thing to keep me away from oil changes was loading feed and shavings into the barn, followed by the geothermal service call.

By the time I got home it was dinner time, I never got back to the shop except to turn out the lights.

So maybe today I’ll get some more oil changes in. I do have to help my wife with a small graphics project that she wants to get done today, hopefully I can set it up so she can easily enter data and then output the product tags that she wants.
And of course there is the inevitable pop up tasks.

Good Morning!!!! 43F @ 5:30AM. Areas of fog early, becoming sunny this afternoon. High around 65F. Winds W at 5 to 10 mph.

I wonder if a laser rangefinder could measure the altitude of an overhead plane or helicopter. I've got one somewhere around here...
Anybody use an electric razor?
Tried a Norelco triple header, a Remington, and a couple others. Never shaved as close as a blade, and all left razor burn. I'd like to know the secret to using one, too.

House down the street must have two dozen of those blow up decorations in their front yard. Last time I drove by they were all deflated, covering most of the lawn. What an eyesore.

Glad your house todo list is getting shorter, Don. What's your secret?

Waded through the morass of Medicare options yesterday, and maybe found a way to get it back to how it is this year. Gonna cost more, though. What doesn't?

Took delivery of a NEXPOW AP1 jump starter battery/air pump combo yesterday and sent it right back. The display was impossibly dim, the labels on the buttons were hard to see, the target pressure on the pump had to be reset every time, and the hose was too short and kept coming loose. I didn't bother even trying the jump starter. I'll keep looking.

Free return shipping with Amazon Prime, and now the drop off is at Kohls. Never been inside one before. First, there's only one set of doors, and the building is HUGE! And of course the service desk is all the way in the back, and the lady that gave me directions must've been dyslexic, so my legs got a good workout wandering around. In all that walking around I didn't see a single thing worth taking home. No wonder Kohls is having trouble staying in business.

New wheel for the chainsaw grinder came yesterday, so I'll try that out today. Not sure what else I'll get into...

Happy Hump Day, folks!

After watching the Project Farm video on them I got the Gooloo. So far I’m very pleased with it. I used it to test the starter generator yesterday, and was pleased that it did not require a sensed minimum voltage to provide an output.
Seems to be good quality, but no air pump. I’ve got a Milwaukee M12 inflator that works well.

Morning all, 23 going up to 41 and sunny.

Spent some more time on the ladder, boy am I slow getting the hooks up. Only got 2 more in. Moving the ladder is a chore and turning the hooks isn't much better, might use a slightly larger drill bit to start them. Try to finish today, have a lot of trimming, ornamental grass and crape myrtles and maybe plant some potted trees now that they are dormant.

Congrats L4N , roadtrip time !

Phil, great news on the sales, though not surprised, all of the items you show us are amazing.

Need to finish with big ladder before winds get here tomorrow.
Only a few more hooks at 3' intervals before I can switch to the two shorter ladders.

I use an electric, phillips razor, and have an M28 inflator, which has worked really well for me.
The M18 starts with enough of a puff to get the tires filled on the lawn tractor when the one was totally flat from a slow leak, just like my bigger compressor.

Son had his first full shift, seems to be going fine.

Be well,

Airport several miles away but when Air Force 30's clear mountain for approach those 4 BIG engines roar to life and one can feel little rumble  young turkeys fawns scatter for cover.
When Med flight goes over the house Mrs. says hope they left some shingles on the roof 🙄 just another perk living on side of mountain. o_O

Almost got the Laupahoehoe end of property mowed. Tractor fan belt broke with about 45 minutes left.

Off to Hilo town this morning. Sophie has a med appointment and a few errands. Need to stop at PO as well.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day.

Giant in New Hope? I'll have fun with this...
will go tell the mgr what excellent service he gave me
(even though I think store mgmt is marginal)

what a morning, real plus was twenty minutes to park at hospital, check in, be taken immediately at outpatient area right around the corner
from main entrance. Almost no walking, and no waiting. Must be a blue moon..........
she had to rotoroot a little finding the vein but she got it.

then off to post office to find what I wanted to mail will cost more than the item, which is ridiculous when I can have amazon ship it for free.
so looks l have another flashlight (you can never have too many, right?). This was a decent quality small flashlight, high power, with a bonus
mini UV black light flashlight. I learned about uses of black lights, including finding remnants of animal urine, etc. Perfect little flashlight for
a landlord for sure...
for detecting what naked eye can not see, like dog and other pet urine/stains,
driver license, official identification cards, passports, customs or authenticate currency.

it was a black friday deal for around 25 bucks

worked on getting quotes on fencing after confirming with local township wood fences can only be six feet tall.
One company ballparked 29 bucks a foot installed. I'm going to get two quotes and see if landlord will pay for it.
probably not but I'm going to give them the opportunity, or perhaps parlay that into a new kitchen vinyl floor.
the current one was likely installed during the great depression.

and yes I leave my snowman on all the time, otherwise I think all my restraining twine might get tangled when it flops down.

one neighbor and I were having fun wondering if I was breaking some ordinance and the
scrooge officers would show up. It's just one...and in moderately good taste I suppose.
But perhaps they have a seasonal sign ordinance. They have a lot of ordinances for sure.
boy would that be fun if Mr Clipboard came calling.
