Looking out from the house a couple of minutes ago 6-8" during the day today, the pickup earned her keep today acting as the ferry vehicle bring people up this morning while it wasn't to bad and then this evening when the snow were digging and churning.

37 .22 in of rain yesterday wife really enjoyed dinner spur of the moment thing. More traffic on 220 than I thought there would be but very few trucks. Truck got 21 mpg cannot complain. Fuel cheaper in NC than Va odd considering NC taxes. New tires on rear of truck Coopers good luck with them.

Coffee has been poured. 27° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 31° with chance of snow flurries. Light dusting of snow overnight. Spent so much time on phone it needed charging while talking. Watched Detroit Thanksgiving Parade. Then found Dean Martin Celebrity Roast on TV. Enjoyed my dinner. Today will get Christmas Tree out of storage and into house.

very nice visit with family last night and came away happily stuffed.
plus I think I was sent home with five pounds of leftovers.

I hope to work off a few calories today, lots of projects.
going to bundle up, a cold day and colder weather coming.

I'm putting up my new 12 foot inflatable Santa in the front yard, tied to a tree.
my neighbor loves any kinds of lights I put up, she even complimented my porch light. ( )
I think she's easy to please, will give her plenty to look at this year. Will be a combo of wired and solar lights.
time to ho ho ho

one thing I am not doing is going out today to shop.
when you think back about all the crazy stuff we did in malls to get there early, to get that elusive toy...
only thing I miss about malls is the Christmas decorations.

Once chores are done look into Christmas decorations. Have several inflatables I can put up get tree down but first grass needs mowed leaves blown. Been watching magnum pi on tv another great show.

Let the woodstove go out yesterday, time to get it going again.

Always fun the see the Thanksgiving meal pix...glad there are such wonderful cooks. We had a real nice time at son's and good food. He had a couple of new mounts up on the wall...a specklebelly goose and a real nice deer skull mount. Glad I took Della on a long hike and swim before going over there, because I ate way too much.

Lou and Thomas, hope the snow is not too bad for you. It sure is pretty.

Buppies, Fleming's is a great restaurant. Been to the one in Akron a few times

Fire is going good. Keeping it on low and slow fire settings

Today will do the brakes on the van. Need to check the calibers to see if they need to be changed as well as new rotors and pads

Plans for today...9 1/2" heavy wet snow to remove from walks 4 roofs driveway,ground to soft for pickup with plow so plenty seat time on the tractor.

32 outside right now, heading to lower 50's.

May need to start the wood stove today and going forward. That means getting to the back woods and collecting some more wood. Did a survey a few days ago and there are some trees down (summer storms) that look perfect to cut and burn.
Speaking of burn, need to light the burn pile. It's back to the "way to big" size.

Not much on the agenda today. Maybe more wall work around the Milk House doors and more paint.
