Buppies, sorry to hear whole family not together for Thanksgiving!

Today we will go to our youngest sons house along with the rest of the family. His house is much larger than ours, and they are much younger , but we are making 2 side dishes and we bought the 2 Turkeys so I guess we are covered !

Good Morning and Happy Thanksgiving
It’s 39° and raining, forecast to continue throughout most of the day. High in the upper 40’s, partial clearing later this afternoon.

Yesterday’s trip consumed most of the day. ATC gave us a couple hundred bonus miles, routed us over Maine on our way from Pittsburgh to Martha’s Vineyard. From there, down the coast past Provincetown, and then back west to the island.

When I did get home, son helped me move a love seat from the house to the old folks home, so the wife and I can sit by the fire. We are still figuring out how to layout the furniture, and what we should bring, and what gets left behind. There is a sofa that is not near the fireplace, and a recliner that I would put in front of it. But the days of both of us in the recliner are long behind us.

BIL is on his way here to get some split bolt connectors to connect a new cooktop that he want to use for today’s meal. He’s a procrastinator, and didn’t consider all the home centers and supply houses would be closed today. It’s about a 45 minute drive for him to get here.

47 outside this AM, grey and drizzling. Heading to upper 50's.

Moved a rug from my parents house into the Milk House yesterday late. Those concrete floors are cold. I need a long talk with the Project Manager since furniture was already in there. LOL. I also need to get busy with painting the bathroom this AM. Again. Wall work around the doors, trim and ceiling are the reason. It's close to the end state. Although I noted one tile in the bathroom is looking pretty bad, so that is on the replacement list. Looks like I missed the line cutting with the angle grinder. Got the kitchen custom tabletop tile cut yesterday. Also picked up another piece of granite, locally for a custom table. Should be ready by Monday. Yesterday was pretty busy.

We have 2 out of 3 daughters here today. Picked up a chicken yesterday and a tiny ham. It will not be a big prep or big deal since we got together last week.

My in-laws place is finally on the market. I would have asked a lot, lot more, but some in the family have no sense of what stuff is worth now-a-days. Scary. At this rate the in-laws place will be closed out before my Dads estate is closed. Thank the government for that stupidity.

Time to get moving....be safe as always.

Snowing and the snow line moving down the mountain, the top of the mountain is just out of the top of the picture, the snow sticking to the tress is almost here, sticking on the lawn now and slush on the driveway.
