   / Good morning!!!! #197,325
what a fun afternoon.
Ted took me up to Sania Crest, two miles up in the air.
I couldn't even get close to the edge, talk about a view
unfortunately all the pics I took are still in my camera sitting on Ted's truck floor.
I had a feeling I was forgetting something.
so pics will wait til tomorrow.

then went back to Ted's home and had a lovely dinner with his wife Donna, who makes a mean chopped salad the name of which escapes me but it was super healthy. The work these two have done to transform a patch of dry ground into a real oasis is delightful. Trees everywhere, I'm sure he's planted every one, and all the landscaping neat and pretty. Even a water feature with babbling water noises. Everywhere I went there was something really nice to look at. And behind his house he has a nursery growing all kinds of interesting fruit trees.
Ted and his wife are serious gardeners. He built the house himself. And the outbuildings and fencing.
A very talented fellow. We have a bunch of them in our group.

I did get a peek at his airplane room. And this enormous helicopter he is working on.
We both thought Popgadget would like some of this stuff.

The road to the Sania Crest went up forever. Ted drives very smoothly but I still was a little wobbly after all those curves. actually wobbly from vertigo looking down over Albuquerque from two miles up.

I think my ears popped about four times, plus it really is a little harder to breath.
but all good, an amazing view I will unlikely see anywhere else.
I think even looking at some of my pics taken will make me wobbly.
which makes it a good picture. Took almost all my pics on good camera.

one pic I did find was coming into NM I think seeing awesome rock formations, different colors of strata. Some came right up the road so it felt like you were in geology class studying the layers. Massive, unending, beautiful.

Good (Monday) morning. Overnight Low of 8.3C and it's presently 20.7C, light breeze & clear. Trace of rain yesterday arvo but nothing in the gauge.

Well, the left-front tyre on the Z-turn is flat again. <sigh> So later on I'll need to remove the wheel and take it to the local tyre shop for assessment/fix. I'll do a recycle trip to the tip on the way in, plus stop off at the PO for a 'delivery'.

At least I've found out about the tyre now as opposed to the first 'day' of mowing.

I was surprised by a wallaby bounding by the house this morning @ 0815. They've usually headed back into the State Forrest by first light, and this one was headed in the opposite direction.

That's about it, take care all.

Fun day, Took Drew for the awe inspiring, nose bleed elevation, $10 tour...... at 10,524 ft. above sea level.

Part zwei tomorrow. A couple stops: Santa Fe plaza, then the crazy town of Madrid. Drew has his foil hat ready...... probably won't need it in Maggie's diner (from the movie Wild Hogs). But... one never knows......

Everyone have a great evening!

Back from the quacks. 1st he filled out the form and insisted on him faxing it to the MTO. Then he put that I needed a functional assessment that means more money out. That is quite the racket those quacks have. First they lift my license, then they charge me for filling out the forms AND expect me to pay for the forms fill out AND the functional assessment and the road test. In the meantime I don't have a license so I have to pay someone to take me to all this crap AND the only income I have is my two pensions $1200.oo/month. That is on top of the $234.oo worth of goobers they want me to take.
And then when I wanted to pay for the visit and form fillout, $60.oo they refused payment because I tried to pay with my card. "We don't have a machine" was their lame excuse, but they wanted me to go to a bank machine and get the money because they are too lazy or too stupid to get a machine. The last form they filled out for me cost me $20.oo, I had that, but that is all I had.
Bill, can you apply to the OSEP (Ontario support energy program)?

Thanks for that, I just checked and I don't qualify. Probably because I am 2 grand ahead on my hydro bill. While I was working I paid double what the bill was over 3 summers. I haven't paid a hydro bill in 3 winters. My last bill was 546 kwh for the month.
