Been awol a few days, just caught up, oh my how much everyone is doing!!

Drew, I am sorry the Ag museum was closed. Not like you can just say OK I will come back next week instead. I'll put it on my list to get there for some pix and to share some impressions. Not the same though ...

As with Della, I'm looking forward to Rigby seeing snow for the first time. For dogs, snow=play. I enjoy how quiet everything gets when the snow falls, but for me snow=work. Plowing driveways, etc. And a little play with the dog.

Everyone have a great day !!!

my sister drives a fairly new Volvo S60 station wagon, and like her husband drives fast down these incredibly windy roads along the coast.
My BIL is a retired brilliant academician and not technical, like my Father, had problems with an adjustable wrench. So when Uncle Drew comes to town, I try to help them with what seems obvious to me.

and at least his front tires were almost bald, would not pass the quarter test, I doubt he has 1/8 tread left. And he protested the car place just checked over car so how could tires be worn? Sigh. You want to trust those folks? Think for yourself...look for yourself, your tires are worn way down, and no wonder due to local roads. But, but but. No buts, you need tires.
to keep my sister safe, get out your wallet.

Let's see, you both speed down tiny curvy roads in the rain with no guardrails and huge drop offs. Yikes.
at least have good tires.
So....going to research this on Tirerack.com with my laptop, show him what tires he needs to ask for and have him order them to be put on Friday.
I will make sure he gets the right tires, he really is clueless.
Tires are incredibly important on roads like this.
I kept looking around asking where are the guard rails?
I'd think California would try to protect more than the whales...

Good morning! Low of 52°, heading up to 78°. A little bit of rain yesterday... 1/8" in the gauge. Disappointed that the hype of 3 days of rain / storms forecasted didn't really happen. The 1/8" came in 30 minutes.

We were able to plant 28 little mums around the bases of the willows. Kind of an early birthday present for the wife.

Now I need to reconfigure the drip emitters. And, then some more mulch to fix what gets disturbed.

Apparently, my palm wasn't as tough as it used to be.... didn't even know the blister developed until too late...

Got the quarterly discount card from Home Depot yesterday. That means it's time to go get a ton of wood pellets. A big plus is they are on sale at a $1 less a bag than the next cheapest place. $50 less, plus another 10%($30)= $80. I like the total of $270 vs. $350..... The local guy wants $400 a ton. Not worth it to stay local.....

Time to go start the drip irrigation. No more rain chances for the next 5 days.

After that, ??

Just paid $345 ton. They said going up $10 next month. I buy lignetic premium. There are some cheaper ones.

That’s CA drew.

Got new breakaway switch installed on 16 ft trailer.
Just fine mist. .33” overnight.
