I read that the health plans own the mail order places they try to get you to use, and they control the price, in their favor. United tries to get me to mail order from their place, at a much higher price. The word it, "you might be able to save using mail order", but you won't.

71deg. Got yard mowed around the house, all I'm doing before the rain. it wasn't real tall yet.
Mower blade didn't look too bad, one little chip out of one side of right blade, other side looked ok. Maybe need to check the middle blade, but will have to use the lift for that.

Saw the neighbor cleaned up his side of the creek bottom some, looked nice, was getting overgrown.

Going make Costco run soon.

58°F and clear skies this morning, going up to 87° here today.

For all the hoopla about the hurricane/tropical storm/tropical depression that was going to dump rain on us for four days, we got about an hour-and-a-half of light drizzle on one day. Still dry as a bone here. No rain in the 10-day forecast either. The well pump is getting a workout trying to keep the new fruit trees alive.

So it goes.

Some leaves here are just turning brown and falling off. Maples have few spots of color fear our drought will make leaf peeping poor this year and two to three weeks early

Paw paw hunting should have started a week or so ago. Most all are ripened and on the ground already. And chewed. Too late for us,

Costco still has no kirkland water, just Deerpark at twice the price. Anyone else don't have the kirkland water?

They did get mini wheats back in, have been off the shelf for at least 6 months.

And it looks like the cobra dash cam was working, for some reason media player would play one clip, then not play any others. So I turned to VLC and it's playing the clips. Also, date for yesterdays video was showing 20200103 and 20200104, so it was wiping out current videos because of the wrong date.
Corrected the date, and it recorded fine going to town today. However, picture is over exposed, everything is too bright. Not sure if I can change that.

here's what I hit on the road, not as big as I thought it was at the time, but I only got a real quick glance when driving. On the video you can see the truck jump when the front tire hit it.

I ate a significant portion of the rear chain guard on the Frontier rotary doing backing up cutting. Really rough stuff so the noise didn’t bother me. Apparently Deere dealer didn’t install all the support bolts so guard bent and chain was sucked in - repeatedly.

Well we took delivery on the new stove this afternoon. Looks nice and it should for the price ! Only problem is that there is a slight gap on the left side of the stove on the quartz counter top. Wondering what I could put in there to close the gap ? Any ideas ? The old stove slightly overlapped the counter but they discontinued that model. So I need to figure out something that looks good and is functional to prevent food from getting in there !

Well we took delivery on the new stove this afternoon. Looks nice and it should fit the price ! Only problem is that there is a slight gap on the left side of the stove on the quartz counter top. Wondering what I could put in there to close the gap ? Any ideas ? The old stove slightly overlapped the counter but they discontinued that model. So I need to figure out something that looks good and is functional to prevent food from getting in there !

Thinking thin pieces of stainless, but then you would need on both sides.
How much of a gap is there measurement wise?

Good afternoon, rain is passing us by it looks like but 77 and cloudy

Picked up groceries and had the new glasses adjusted to fit better

Installed the new wood stove. Amazed the 2 workers could handle 500 pounds but they had the techniques down. Forgot the blower but came back and installed it. Not sure we will use it that much but it is variable speed or can work off a thermostat. Noticed the door not staying put in the open position so leveling is off. They will be back tomorrow to fix that

popgadget, that mantel piece looks like American Chestnut likely more than 200 years old. Our barn dating back to early 1800's was built with American Chestnut

Good (Wednesday) morning. Overnight Low of 4.9C and it's presently 17.0C. Mostly sunny (at the moment) with a 'howling' wind! Yeah, I've got one tree split & down... the upper half is being supported by another tree so a close-by fence has been spared. Bugger. Rain predicted for this arvo.

I took the flagpole down... again. I swear that these windstorms occur every beginning of Autumn & Spring. I just forget that this happens. Of course, I'll need to wait for this wind to abate before I can tackle the downed tree.

In the meantime, it's 'into town' day for scripts, petrol & groceries.
