campground wifi got faster
tomorrow I am off to campground just East of Casper Wyoming
I expect part of this to be through many miles of grasslands
maybe I'll see a buffalo
the last pic is the view out my rv
If you going to Casper area, you are going the route we came up from, Rt 18. We stayed at Douglas WY. If so, lots of Buffalo at Wind Cave Nat Park, south of Custer. That's the only place on that drive we saw buffalo. Rt 87 is a pretty drive, just east of Custer down to wind cave..

Good Evening Bill,
Scott, when the wasps stop flying I would hazard a guess that they ran out of gas. ;)
HaHa Bill, indeed ! 😂

Lou, actually I poured some gas down the hole and I failed to get it lit ! Had to go back and get the gas can again and repeated the whole thing ! We had fire on the next attempt ! 😉

Good (Monday) morning. Overnight Low of 5.8C and it's presently 17.1C, clear with a gentle breeze. There was 2.3mm in the gauge @ 0900.

Yesterday's predicted severe wind warning came true. No damage here @ Wagtail Park but I did take down my flagpole. (it's back up now) Glad that I didn't continue with the Rectory tree clean-up.

Which is what I'll 'get up to' this arvo. It'll probably take a few days of transporting the limbs & such from the 'in town' property to the tip.

That's about it, take care all.

Good morning,
50° now highs in the low 70’s and mostly sunny today. Winds W 5-10 mph, DP’s in the upper 40’s. Need some rain, so far this month only 0.02”.

Quiet weekend just picking away at yard stuff, not much else going on. Not sure what today will bring, may take a ride somewhere and have lunch.

Enjoy your day everyone
Stay safe and healthy

Coffee is done brewing. 50° with partly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 77° with a few clouds. Helped neighbor unload 5 yards of top soil from his Duce and Half truck and Military trailer. Neither have dump ability. Used FEL loader to get much of the load removed. Started taking Sassy on daily walks to back of property. Shae sure likes those walks. No plans for today yet.
Close up of Sparrow.

Everyone stay safe and well.

Good Morning All.

Good morning, the low is 46 and going to a high of 64°F. Wind NW 2 mph. Mix of sun and cloud.
Overnight temps did get down to 34°.

Later today I will check and see if the grass is dry enough to mow. If not, then maybe I will find those blasted lights.

Have a safe day all

Good Morning! 54˚ brrrrr. Coldest morning this Summer. N wind.
2 more at home PTs then the real PT starts next week when I can feel the pain and gain.

The sawdust and leaves are out of the pool after 4 cleaning sessions of the robot and the Pool is back to normal clean after the tree trimming but too cold to swim even if I would be allowed to get the surgical site submerged (which I'm not) 11 days out. The 90s will return later this week. I guess I could turn on the spa/pool heater also but will save that for Drew's visit.

I see the Dr this week, is about the only new development in the shoulder recovery, and he will let me know if I can drive. Before surgery it hurt to raise my arm to use the turn signal and we have not practiced it in home PT, so I don't know if I can, or supposed to, lift my arm that high at this stage of healing. I'm still off pain pills and I hope that is the major requirement.

47 going to 79. I could take a few months of this.

Kyle, I bet your son learned more in defeat than he would in victory...playing so hard and against the odds and not giving up.

RS, real nice engine. I like watching/listening to them at old tractor shows.

Plowhog, hope the fire is getting under control. Sounds bad.

Buppies, neat that you were able to watch Johnny Unitas.

BEF, don't forget to save that blue HF magnetic flashlight when to take out the old unit. 😁

Don, hope you get the green light to drive, but I also hope you can wait longer before you have to.

PJ, glad you got some quality time with your stepson. Prayers for his recovery.

Ken, and Popg, happy birthday to your sons!

Got back from eastern North Carolina yesterday afternoon...mother-in-law's funeral...good to see many family and friends. Nice weather, but originally thought we'd be outside in storms. I rented an older restored farmhouse on a 200 acre soybean farm outside Greenville for my family to stay...lots of room for walks with the dogs, and Della got to visit with horses for the first time. She was amazed. Our 11 month old granddaughter was crawling around like crazy. Peaceful, but good to be home, and this morning's home roasted pour over coffee is a nice change from the pod coffee there.

Youngest son is still here, so will take him on a hike today before he returns to Long Island.

45F partly cloudy sky upper 60's for high chance of shower or two around 6pm.

Outside chores done E muffin time.
Plans for today...take the trimmer for good long AM walk, afternoon yet to decide.

Enjoy your day all.

47 outside this AM, heading to mid 70's.

Still need to get to the grasses, LOL. Spent most of the day yesterday working on cabinets and counter tops for the Milk House. No real progress other than basic framing. Wonky walls, a concrete floor that's not level, matching up to sinks and avoiding plumbing tested the brain.

Wife leaves on a road trip today. This week looks....busy.

Hope all have a great start. Be safe.

PJ, Spectracide.... yeah....what's up with that stuff? Bad experience with it. I use Raid, with the 20 foot shot. Never been disappointed.

Good Morning
47° with a high in the low 70’s today under a clear sky. Pretty much like yesterday.

I did make it to the hangar and made decent progress on the little plane. I got it from this-

To this-
IMG_5217.jpg

Did some small tasks around the old folks home, put the auger on the tractor and helped oldest son with some fence repair.
Having the hydraulic auger on the loader makes me kick myself for how long I put up with the 3 point auger. SSQA mounts in seconds, and reverse and down pressure are worth their weight in gold.
I had to move the Laser out to get the auger, so I did all the trim mowing before I put everything away.
Today I’ll probably hitch up the Progressive mower and mow all the open areas.
Stone masons and trim carpenters should be busy on the old folks home, so not much for me to do there. I’ll likely get back to the hangar once the mowing is complete.

good morning all from Keystone SD. 54 out and nice inside, quiet without a/c.

Mostly, passed on the beer, but had an ice cream sandwich. There is zero sweet anything else in rv so I've been good. And have lost ten pounds in a month. Now I have cut up fruit in the morning for sweet and that's it.

I haven't been in a hot tub for over a year and if Don fires his up for me, I'm warning him I might not leave. And I did remember my bathing suit.

dry bathroom floor this morning, life is good. The only way to fix this plumbing is to rip it out and replace with pex. When I had my head squeezed inside that cabinet yesterday and could see not one but three fittings weeping water, geez what terrible construction. Four hose clamps later fixed, but no way this will last long. Truly born to fail.

since wifi seems to be working early with no one on, here's a pic of the plumbing showing the pex style crimp on top of a regular soft plastic hose.
some bean counters must have figured out they can put this together faster than pex. And it lasts for three or four years till that crimp loosens from vibration and no way to tighten it.

today's high end utv's are the size of small cars

no HOME is worth as million dollars. They might be getting that in these inflated times, but they are not worth it.
House prices vary so much by area. The absolute cheapest home on the market in Arrowcreek right now is $1.3M. But the "big money" is next door in "Montreux." A .44 acre lot there is advertised for $750k- bare land only.

Wife's phone blared yesterday-- emergency alert-- emergency alert-- evacuate immediately due to the nearby Davis fire. But my phone didn't alert??? The fire was growing rapidly, red flag warning in effect, and wind was blowing directly toward us. We packed up, got the house as fire ready as you can, then waited to evacuate. Friends and neighbors bugged out, but we stayed. As of this morning fire is still 0% contained so I'll "see what I can see" when it gets light.

Here is a pix of the fire from Rigby's temporary pen in the pasture.

Thanks Drew they are very plentiful and mast is poor this this year so far. In ground yellow jacket nests plentiful this year bodes poorly for snow lovers. Tonga really messed up the atmosphere.

Miraculous healing Don keep up the good work
