nice party at Ken's, as usual I was first to leave, happy with a buzz from Holly's mai tai.
called friend I was headed to and glad I did, he was in gym with daughter and I would not have
found him, so I cancelled that trip. Darn, could have had another mai tai...

now a rest before heading out to dinner at brother's.

100˚ at the coolest spot in the back yard heat Index 110˚F. Trying to send it some where. My neighbor just got back from winter down under, I bet this is a shock to her.

Looks pretty bad with all the clumps, but got a couple hours in before the wx you see in background. Need about 3 more hours, but it wont be today, too wet already. Forecast for the week more of the same.
Not a bad living weather, alternating rain/sun, but frustrating for mowing.

On my new Eufy. It’s the S350, which is a 360° Pan & Tilt and Zoom. Listed as an interest camera, but I mounted in a sheltered spot and reality is sheltered outside vs inside about the same here. Power available there so plug in works.

Good (Sunday) morning. Overnight Low of 2.3C and it's presently 3.1C (heading to 12C), clear & calm. Yesterday's rain front, with some blustery winds, dumped 37.7mm (gauge checked @ 0700).

I'm off to Church in about a half hour, followed by the Vietnam Veteran's march/ceremony @ 1100. Then the rest of the day is His.

70F ... with an absolute torrential downpour @ 18:45.

Dangerous Thunderstorm Alert and Flash Flood Warnings have been issued ...

Probably about a drop of 15F ... along with 2.32" of rain reported by the closest LWS ... in maybe 10 - 15 minutes.

And still raining but much lighter.

Got some more compost screening done earlier, chased inside once ... but that storm ended up going south.

Hope Rich is doing alright ... severe thunderstorms down around his area earlier.

Daughter made it here. No overheating on the way down. As soon as she turned it off.... boiling over from the reservoir.

Now that it has been driven 250 miles, I'm going to recheck the oil for milkyness.
I am leaning towards cracked head.....

More research and testing needed.

I'm leaning towards a plugged rad. 240 K miles, it could probably use a new rad.

My '01 Wrangler had the same engine and it got the rad replaced in 2013. My mechanic said that you can only expect a Jeep rad to last about 10 years. The fact that I got 12 out of mine was because it didn't go too far in summer. (Parked from May to October)

Compression test should tell you if the head is cracked, if you do the test with it warmed up.

Along with my hydroponics I will be redoing what i call my gutter garden

Started these as a summer project with granddaughter years ago. Have had good luck growing a number of things, radishes, green onions, basil, parsley, etc. my big failing is eventually my watering falls off and everything dies. My bad, I know. What I’d like to do this time is add some sort of irrigation system, maybe something I can run from a timer now that I have electricity. Assuming some sort of mini drip system or soaker, but I haven’t a clue. I see some listings on Amazon.

What you see is ready to plant, fresh, amended soil. Plan is about 9 different veggies, 3 to a section, to supplement the hydroponics. I start with direct sown, but switch to starters as we progress. Another learning experience.

Any suggestions appreciated.

Coffee is colling in cup. 66° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 74° with off and on rain showers. It will be a repeat of yesterday. .14" of rain yesterday. Got some small items completed on To-Do List. Hope to get a some more done today. Then NASCAR in afternoon.
