Oh, and tolerance for stupid people has really diminished over time.... it's down to about 45 seconds now.....

45 seconds would be a huge increase for me.

I got a tee shirt anonymously in the mail that said “My people skills are fine, it’s my tolerance of idiots that needs work”.
That pretty much says it all.

I think the first concert I remember going to was Guess Who at St John Terrell’s music circus in Lambertville, NJ. Since then I have been to a lot of concerts from Roy Orbison, to The Rolling Stones. I never saw the Beatles, but have seen McCartney multiple times. Country and bluegrass from the likes of Doc Watson, Lester Flatt, John Hartford, John Denver, Bill Monroe, David Bromberg, Bonnie Raitt, Dale Watson, Bill Kirchen, Robbie Fulks, etc, emerging acts like Jackson Browne in a coffee house with a couple hundred seats at most, where he played until 4am.
Almost all the arena acts of the era, King Crimson, Led Zeppelin, Jethro Tull, Credence, Moody Blues, Grateful Dead, New Riders, Bob Dylan, Dire Straits, Eric Clapton,
The list could go on forever, just recalling it now, I realize what a privileged life I have had.

our friends showed us one like that the other day. It seemed to be injured and couldn't fly.
This one seemed doomed to predators, too. Flapped, but couldn’t get off the ground.

It’s called an Imperial Moth. They won’t fly until night. They are supposed to use camouflage to avoid predators, looking like a yellow/brown leaf laying on the ground.

Good (Wednesday) morning. Overnight Low of 2.4C and it's presently 12.4C, mostly cloudy & fairly calm.

Gees, that 'shingles' vaccination is an embuggerance. I can use my left shoulder but it's a 'reminding' sore. <sigh> Oh well...

It's 'into town' day for a script, something's at the PO, petrol for the ute and groceries.

That's about it, take care all.

Good Afternoon,

RS, are you going to burn all of that or was it PT decking ?

Yes, it was PT decking.

Don’t plan on burning any of it at this point - will just let it decompose naturally, along with the rest of the stuff in the brush pile.

Judging from the current state of decomposition, it probably won’t take all that long … especially if it gets buried at the bottom of the pile where it will stay wet.

I know at my CT home, I have to bring it to the transfer station and get weighed in, because they consider it demolition ! I was telling Dennis the other day that I once cut up an entire deck and sent it to the dump piece meal in the barrels you put out front for trash pickup ! Anyways sounds like you made good progress on that project !

Have a good evening !

Thanks.

Yes somewhat decent progress I guess.

Leaves me with another 4 joists cleared that can now be taken down.

Didn’t get any more done today, was too wet.

Did get the cattle panels moved up to the shop and all the galvanized fencing posts removed out of the van and over by the barn.

Also mowed down a lot of the weeds over there and did some mowing on the west side of the house before more rain chased me back inside.
