68 heading to 84. Should be dropping humidity. Yes!

Glad Rigby is okay. Close call. Guess I am lucky that all Della "caught" yesterday was a rotten apple that had fallen from our tree...ate half before I could get it from her.

RNG, always liked watching Alton Brown's Good Eats show...funny guy who mixes science with his cooking...sounds like he makes coffee the same way I do.

LS, sounds like a wonderful way to put your first peach harvest to use!

Ron, your mention of only 2 frogs reminds me of what we are seeing more of/less of this year...more eagles, more butterflies, more honey bees...fewer toads, and no yellow jackets, bald faced hornets and only 2 European hornets, hooray!

Today I'll continue cleaning up branches from a mostly dead magnolia that I am slowly converting into firewood, and dragging branches to the brush pile. Yesterday when walking Della around one of the wildlife food plots, a hen turkey and 11 poults flushed from a hidden spot 5 yards from us. Exciting!

Couldn’t get to sleep last night. Just layed in bed thinking of everything. Then when I had a dream this morning involving a toilet, it’s time to get out of bed.
Weather station app data is 3 days old. Don’t know what it is, but have to power cycle the indoor units to get them to respond on the network sometimes. I have 2.
No plans for today, which means little will get done.
Never did try the harbor freight pump I bought. Wanted to get some E0 gas for it and never did, none close to me.

Good Morning
64°, low humidity and sunny. High just over 80 forecast. Pretty much a perfect day.

Yesterday the roof got put on the old folks home, I did a little bit of plumbing, got the frostproof silcock installed, but not much more than babysitting the roofers and keeping my friend entertained.
We didn’t go anywhere except out to lunch. We had a nice dinner with the entire family together to end the day.

Today he heads off to New York after breakfast, I’ve got mowing, and a TSA training module to complete, as my training expires today. The last thing I feel like doing is sitting at a computer inside on such a nice day with things that need to get done outside.

AC parts are in and they are coming over this morning to fix it

Wife is on a roll about getting more plants so that is a possibility after the AC is fixed

D had her portrait submitted and accepted at a National exhibit opening in November. She will be invited to the opening

Only have seen 2 frog in garden pond this summer. Usually 2 dozen around pond.
Ron, isn't it strange how variable wildlife can be? I've noticed many species at our property that seem ebb and flow, appear and disappear, seemingly without reason.

Today is the last of the motorhome upgrades. Upgrade to lithium batteries and a supplemental Victron battery charger. It's expensive but after converting to 12V compressor refrigerator I wanted reliable, headache free operation. Last camp trip had generator failure and refrigerator failure and that was not a fun trip. Battery upgrade should be a 1 day job.

I'm paying an installer instead of doing it myself. Ever pay $2,500 for a battery? I'm buying two of them ... ahhhh.

Good Morning! 72˚F heading to the mid 80s with variable wind and cloud cover. Chance of rain at 5PM.

Got a load of limbs and a tree to haul off and can actually use my Ranger for a purpose. There is a place down the road that makes biochar with the brush/wood.

Thanks for the suggested repair on the door, I was hoping some sort of a dark wood filler would be the answer. It's hard to take down that large wood door by myself.

Good news on the fountain - it is cleaned and the pump is still working in the test bucket. As soon as I get the filter I can fill the fountain and start it up. I did have to clean out the lions mouths two were clogged up. On two tiers the water comes out of the 4 mouths on each tier and on the last tier it just overflows on the lions head before it goes back in the tiled base pond and the pump.

Good morning, the low is 51 and going to a high of 81°F. Wind NW 5 mph. Sunny!

Today I think I will cut the grass.

Don, I think I would lay the door flat, use a dremel to chew out the shiny stuff that is in the cracks and epoxy like Pop G said.
I wonder, if you mix your epoxy 'hot' enough and in small batches if it would 'kick' fast enough to not run all over the rest of the door. Would take some experimenting.

I don't see many frogs here, but I sure do hear them in the evenings.
I usually spook a few toads when I cut the grass. I try NOT to cut them. They are usually low enough to the ground that I pass right over them. 3" cut height.

Pop G, why do you leave your certifications to the last minute? Wouldn't they be better to 'do' on a rainy day?

BEF, that is what usually gets me out of bed and into the can, real quick!

If the wind picks up a little after the grass cutting I may get at the tree stump I am slowly rotting away and add some more epsom salts to the cuts. Still wish I could get some potassium nitrate (salt peter).
Commercial liquid stump rot is about as useful as teats on a bull.

Time to get on with my day.

Have a safe day all
