Good Morning!!!! 75F @ 5:45AM. Sunny. High 103F. Winds SSW at 5 to 10 mph.

Oh man, I hate stumps. Even with the big hoe on the M62, I still hate 'em. Got a tree that needs to come down at the new place, and that stump'll just stay in place. Glad you were able to help your neighbor, Ron.

Thanks for the compliments on the Commando, folks. I sometimes wonder where that bike ended up, or if it's still even on the road. It had all the fixes done for known issues, and I put 40K miles on it before I sold it. But the one I wish I hadn't sold was my first one, a 1970 Commando Fastback in lemon yellow I got from an ex-dealer up in Marin County, CA. I put a lot of miles on that one, too, with very few issues. It did shear a lay shaft in the transmission once, though, but that was an easy repair, once I got it home. And I don't remember how that happened. So long ago...

How come every time I go to fix a PVC pipe the can of glue is dried out? That happened again yesterday. Thought I had it covered until the other set of primer/glue cans turned out to be for ABS, not PVC. So off to the local hardware. The smallest can he had was over six bux, and I realized I also needed pipe thread dope. He was even prouder of that one at twelve bux. Good thing money grows on trees in the back yard. Anyway, got the new water softener valve installed and plumbed yesterday, and that was it. The union I need to take apart to fix the leak on the water tank needs a bigger pipe wrench than I have up here, so it'll have to wait until the next trip. After all that screwing around, it was 1PM, over 100F, and time for lunch.

Ended up cleaning the lime deposits out of the toilets up here with rotten stone and red 3M Scotchbrite, what fun. But at least I was inside with the A/C on.

Been trying to find a GMRS two way radio that would interface via Bluetooth to the comms in the new motorcycle helmet, and think I found one. Their sales department wasn't very helpful with their answers to my questions, but a gal that was working in tech support yesterday was. I'll get one on order when I know I'll be back south to take delivery; don't want to eat into the 30-day return period waiting to get back south if it's delivered up here.

Think I'll swap out the solar panel up on the gate opener this morning before it gets too hot. Or maybe change the coolant in the Kubota side-by-side and put antifreeze in it again instead of the tap water that its got now? No shortage of things to do here...

Hope everyone enjoys the rest of their weekend...

Good morning! Low of 58°, only going up to 75°. Nice temp. Mostly cloudy now, 70-80% chance of showers / thunderstorms.

Finally had a shower pass by yesterday, and it was actually over us! Just under an 1/8" in the gauge. Then about 20 minutes later, one good rumble and another shower..... more like downpour! That one brought the gauge up to an inch! WOOHOO!

Did a job yesterday that isn't hard, just a royal PIA.
Washing/ cleaning the windows. Every year they need to get disassembled, tracks cleaned, then a good dose of silicone lube.
The wind forces the fine silt into the smallest areas, eventually making it hard to open. I am definitely glad they are double hung, tilt-in. Only takes about a minute to take apart.
It's the "procedure" that's a pain. First remove the screens outside, then use the hose to blast out the tracks..... Of course, that's when I get washed too! Unfortunately, only got half done.

Wifey wasn't happy that the flies found the open window holes almost instantly ! That gave me something to do inside when the rain started. I think I got them all. 🤞

Dog food day today. After that.... ???

Everyone have a great day!

Good Morning,
Ct, 67 to start going to 85 or so ! Totally sunny and humidity is here !

More shrub trimming this morning in the front of the house ! Thinking of pulling the Model A out in the front yard, wanted to take it to a local car show yesterday but we had a couple of the grands to watch all afternoon!

Kathleen’s brother and SIL invited us down to their home on the shore this afternoon, so need to get some work done here first !

Good worship service this morning, during the summer they eliminate the 10 am service and the 8 am services, and just do a compromise with a 9 am service !

Hope all have a good Sunday ! 🙏

I pay in tomatoes

just fiddling around, put protectant on the rv tires, made them look better, not shiny but black
I probably should put the tire covers back on but have trip planned for this Thursday.
Not sure about it, weather looks awful
I did top off all the rv tires yesterday, part of my big check list

72°F and .01 inches rain.

Not a strenuous day yesterday. Some slow, easy maintenance on Sophie’s BX, what a workhorse that has proven to be. Tested my plumbing fix at the cottage, good and while there fiddled with Dave’s cheaply security camera. One of those lightbulb looking things. Basically just reset and reaim. I think its primary purpose is to allow Theresa a live view of Hawaii from Canada.
Haven’t turned brain on yet this morning, coffee first

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day
