Good morning!!!!

78F with some cloudiness @ 11:00, calling for a high temp of around 82F for the day's high. Thunderstorms developing this afternoon, chance of rain 100%.

Took the hair clippers to my face yesterday, then followed up with the razor. Clean shaven feels good ...

Got plants on shelves in back all watered.

Rounded up the inoculant and the "Slenderette" bush green bean seeds which had been been soaking and headed back to the garden and started planting those in two rows and watering them in.

Didn't count the number of seeds in the packet before I started but I got about 60% - 65% of the two rows done so it was probably 40 or more. Will try and get those two rows finished up today.

Might get to the third row which I'll do in "Cherokee Wax" yellow bush beans. Have some pole beans and peas to plant as well.

Ran soaker hose for 30 minutes on the indeterminate tomato plants in that one row.

Need to finish up weeding and mulching the row of Sunny Boy tomatoes. Hopefully The Woman can do the weeding after She gets back from Her PT appointment.

All of the tomato plants need work as far as trimming/pruning goes.

Did not make down to Menards, maybe later today once the storms arrive.

Headed up to the shop a little before 22:00, fired up the torch and got friend's grapple tips straightened, steel cut and prepped to extend the gussets, fitted up, and welded on:

Finished just after midnight.

Looks like rain will be here in the next 2 - 3 hours so I need to get moving.

Hope everyone is having a decent Thursday ... (y)
Not yet, but soon.

I made an executive decision to do nothing today. Mrs. Igor comes tomorrow (Thursday) morning.
Might cut some more grass tomorrow afternoon or go to town and get some gas. Probably going to cost me over $2.oo/Liter or $7.56/US Gallon. I only need 12 gallons plus whatever it takes the mower to go to town.

I think my car will be a tad warm when I go out...

had a chance to lie down and recoup some energy

Bill, drive carefully, don't cut any flowers on the way...
hard to imagine 7.50 a gallon for fuel

Dang, and I just filled up this morning at Costco for $3.05 per gallon, and that is in Alexandria, VA.

Second landscape bed is mulched. I actually started sweating..... a rarity out here. Humidity was up around 60%, really high for us without rain falling.....

Trimmed up a couple trees and moved the slash to the pile. While spreading the mulch, heard a few rumbles of thunder --- yep, there's that bugs bunny cartoon cloud.... one black cloud in a blue sky putting out lightning bolts.

Finished spreading the mulch, put the tractor away, and.... a couple sprinkles. Not enough to register in the gauge. Maybe it was just 'priming' the air for later, we'll see.

Heading out to PT shortly after I get a shower and some food down the hatch.

Got up to about 80 today. Nice one.

Wife volunteered me to take the day off to help friends hit by the storm we had.

Had to drop off a few generators ( hope they get power back tomorrow) and one friend had some trees that had to be taken down. Naturally, weeks for wait time for a tree service and their was a safety concern.

She is a single mom with kids running around. She said she would go buy a saw and learn as she goes. That wasn't gonna fly....so

Took care of the problem trees, if it was already on the ground and safe, I didn't touch it.

Then went to our property and opened our road up.

Burned alot of 2 stroke but what the hell

Wish we could have done more. That area is a disaster. While we were taking care of the trees, power company finally showed up to take care of the down lines.

One friend who declined a generator since their house is mostly gas, had to drive over 50 miles to buy a small 2k generator cuz their basement was flooding. Sump pumps don't run on natural gas.

We generally don't get storms like this, those of you living in a hurricane area or tornado area, I really feel for you when the situation arises.

Nice of you, Joel.

Official temp hit 100F at the airport...probably hit 98 here.

Early, before the grass turned extra crisp, I ran the zero turn on all the hiking trails...they had gotten shaggy with seed stalks...did some edging for my wife with the string trimmer...then wife gave me a haircut...really needed it...maybe it grows faster in a drought.

The big storm this afternoon dropped about a dozen drops here...hoping for real rain tonight.

Good Evening.
74° now, high was 93. We had a brief shower as the edge of a cell passed us, but it looks like that’s all we are gonna see. Everything is parched out there. It’s been great for getting concrete and lumber trucks in and out, but not for keeping things green.

We are the blue spot south of Allentown.

Today I left early to spend some quality time with the FAA. There is no simulator for our turboprops, so I get to do check rides with them in the airplane.

I came home to a lot of progress, I could stand in our new living room and get a feel for the size. It’s actually, living, dining and kitchen. There is an island where the pvc is coming out of the floor, the back wall has two glass patio doors with transoms over them. In between them will be a fireplace.

It’s moving right along without me being here (which is probably a good thing for the guys doing the work).
