good morning, 72 going to 92 today

Brought out the pressure washer and started to use it when it plugged up. Worked on that and got both lance barrels for soap and water as well as inlet screen cleared up. Then the GX 340 engine acted up so worked on that and will test it today. Need get some soap to use for the pickup hose that can dissolve the oil deposits on the tractor.

D got her cell phone stolen and is scrambling to recover. Below are a couple pictures from this weekend in London

58 and glorious outside. Jumping up to 92.

LS, glad you got some rain...we are bone dry here and the little pop ups have missed us for the last 3 weeks.

BEF, nice job on that gear box...hope that bridge is steel. We ate lunch overlooking it, I think, from the Rabbit Hole.

Mostly, pretty waterfall.

Been outside cleaning up bear damage...he pulled a long dead limb off the paulownia where we had 4 feeders hanging. 2 are now junk, I fixed the other two. He also bent to the ground two shepherd hooks to get feeders off...totally ignored the hummingbird feeders this time.

Got a nice hike in yesterday after the humidity dropped. Need to do some work on my zero turn today.

Big Boss...
the date on the cam is a day off...time is about right.

A possible candidate for my bearskin hat???

Dr. called yesterday, it was negative, it was an Amalgam tattoo. Wife says cut looks good.

Good morning! 79˚ heading to the mid 90s with partly cloudy skies and south wind.
Opted for a swim yesterday evening instead of cards, very delightful.
I'm so glad to hear this Don.

Good you are on opposite end of town. Not very often you see news from Giddings, TX on National news.
Yes, it's usually a good thing to stay out of the national news.

Prayers and blessings my friends, I have to git to work!

Good Morning! 79˚F before sunrise. We are in a heat advisory, like we have been most of the month with a heat index of 110˚ today. Almost all of June days have been heat record breakers. Good year for a pool I guess. Water Temp after a night of cooling off is 85˚.

Big news for the week is that the old house is has closed and now only one house to maintain, nice.

Putting some water in the pool before 7am to stay within the city rules of no watering between 7am and 7pm. All through the winter and the wet spring the water sanctions were not lifted - too many people and the county's inability to say no to new construction.

Morning all, 78 going to 95 and sunny.
Lawn tractor clutch repair went well and the simplicity keeps on going.
Talked to my dad, he is not making a lot of progress, but is trying.

Met my new neighbors. So it seems they bought the field behind me too, so no house will go there.
Quit happy about that, and they seem nice, but boy do they have a lot of $$.
Met them when the helicopter came over my house to pick up their dad.

I told them I would prefer if the whirly bird did not come directly over my house though.
$5million dollar house, plus whatever they paid for the field behind me, at least another $600K.
Guess they won't be asking me for money

Joel, glad the lightening didn't hit your truck and no fires.

Great news fuddy, no more hop along

Don - congrats on the house closing, glad new house is coming along, looks like it's pretty darn nice already.

Be well,

Handy way to travel, Neighbors dad's ride back home.

Happy bees

A little close for comfort, about 100' off the lawn, not much above the trees.

Ken, despite the helicopter, good news to have open land around you.

breakfast in hotel was predictably greasy, good thing I brought some chopped fruit with me.

made mistake to not shut blinds in hotel room yesterday, it was 96 and sunny and when I got back it was 80 in here. So I shut the drapes, and cranked down the temps and it cooled off.
cloudy morning today, just as hot, will probably get poured on while going out to dinner.

lunch today is with my old neighbor, he works at fire station right next to hotel, going over at 11 and out to lunch. We will probably have to take two cars since he needs to go if the whistle goes off. He's brass now, number three in the dept, but still it's all hands on deck when the alarm goes off. Hope I get a tour of the firehouse.

dinner at nicest restaurant in town last night was expensive, 160 bucks for two of us, normal in the big city but pretty high here. I had delicious tile fish and she had monk fish. Tonight's dinner will be half of that, but last night was elderly Miss Daisy and she is used to nicer places. Really had a fun time, and at her age, she is delighted to get some male attention, if only friendship. Her five siblings and most of her friends have already passed on.

going to get some quiet time with my Kindle til I leave. Woke up pretty worn out, do not travel well in hotels.

Good Morning!!!! 70F @ 6:00AM. Sunny. Hot. High 97F. Winds S at 10 to 15 mph.

Nice job on the video, David. It sounds like it's starving for fuel, which seems to be confirmed by the gauge resting on E and the lit fuel warning light. Couldn't be that simple though, right?

Since I started connecting the two lines from the implement together after dismounting it, I haven't had any issues with unyielding hydraulic fittings. Oh, and turning on the ignition, but not starting the engine, and cycling the hydraulic valve controlling the implement BEFORE disconnecting it.

Was out early yesterday morning to take advantage of relatively cool temps. Got some minor grading work done out back, then finished removing the last bits of the rotary phase converter from the back porch shed and got them loaded in the van. After that I decided to take the shed down. Used the demo saw to cut it into sections and loaded them into the pickup for disposal. That work continued into the afternoon under cloudy skies that refused to rain. I did hear rain on the roof in this morning's wee hours, but there was no accumulation.

There were warnings of shipping delays when I placed the motorcycle tire order Monday, but yesterday's email from them said they'd be delivered today. And another note this morning confirmed it. So one more day up here, and I'll pick up the trailer for the mill tonight. Not looking forward to loading it in 97F temps.

Happy Hump Day, folks!

couldn't sleep last night, was still awake at 5 am, then dozed off a little so maybe got a couple hours this morning. Even came down stairs and watched some youtube in the middle of the night.

Had thoughts of going to the farm today, but not driving 6 hrs on no sleep, and it's supposed to storm there tonight.
Wife still complaining about the ceiling fan switch, High, low, low, & off. supposed to be the right part number, but obviously not. ordered a different one, that pictures show the wiring numbers on it match my original L-2-1-3 CW order.

Did replace a toilet flush handle late last night, been cracking, and finally cracked beyond useability. I've had the replacement for awhile, had to look around to find it on a shelf in the garage and not with my plumbing stuff. had to heat and bend the plastic arm, it was sticking out at 45deg angle, right where the water intake is.

I get big choppers over the house a lot, going up to camp D and back. some days it's constant up and back, up and back by several at a time. Hope we get rain soon, been 2 weeks since I mowed the yard, except for the little patch I did beside the house yesterday. Saw nice long black snake in the yard.

78F with some cloudiness @ 11:00, calling for a high temp of around 82F for the day's high. Thunderstorms developing this afternoon, chance of rain 100%.

Took the hair clippers to my face yesterday, then followed up with the razor. Clean shaven feels good ...

Got plants on shelves in back all watered.

Rounded up the inoculant and the "Slenderette" bush green bean seeds which had been been soaking and headed back to the garden and started planting those in two rows and watering them in.

Didn't count the number of seeds in the packet before I started but I got about 60% - 65% of the two rows done so it was probably 40 or more. Will try and get those two rows finished up today.

Might get to the third row which I'll do in "Cherokee Wax" yellow bush beans. Have some pole beans and peas to plant as well.

Ran soaker hose for 30 minutes on the indeterminate tomato plants in that one row.

Need to finish up weeding and mulching the row of Sunny Boy tomatoes. Hopefully The Woman can do the weeding after She gets back from Her PT appointment.

All of the tomato plants need work as far as trimming/pruning goes.

Did not make down to Menards, maybe later today once the storms arrive.

Headed up to the shop a little before 22:00, fired up the torch and got friend's grapple tips straightened, steel cut and prepped to extend the gussets, fitted up, and welded on:

IMG_3317 copy.jpg

Finished just after midnight.

Looks like rain will be here in the next 2 - 3 hours so I need to get moving.

Hope everyone is having a decent Wednesday ... (y)

Good morning,
84° now highs around 88° mix of sun/clouds dew point is 65° air quality (according to my lungs) is crappy. There is a nice breeze wsw 10-12 mph keeping the bugs at bay.

Spent yesterday following the shade around and got some mowing, trimming and weeding done. Only doing a bit of weeding and watering this am and I think the rest of the day will be a conserve energy day.

Enjoy your day everyone
Stay safe and healthy

Good morning ! Low of 62°, heading up to 92°. Good chances of a t-storm, better chances of showers and t-storms tomorrow.

Drew, sounds like you're having a good time! Costly to eat out these days. Try to stay cool.

Puppy pics! They do grow fast! Please keep 'em coming.

David, any word back from the dealer / LS yet? Hopefully a resolution is near.

Got the small landscape bed mulched yesterday, but the wifey insisted "that's all"..... said my coloring was flushed.... too hot. So another bed to get mulched had to wait for today.

PT session this afternoon. Hopefully won't get tortured too bad. I think that the therapist is just going 'through the motions'. So far 4 weeks of sessions haven't improved anything.

Everyone have a great day!

69°F and .01 inches rain.

Got another section mowed yesterday and most likely will get last one mowed today. Just in time to start a new round

Did lose some time listening to neighbor laying out his woes. I do have to be careful how I help to avoid his wife making my life miserable. Said he would consult his attorney. Drama!!!

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

90deg out here now.
I see on camera my brother mowed at the farm this morning for a little over an hour. My camera showed 107deg, in the sun, but later was 84deg in the shade. Looks like he also did a fuel run to town.
wife just left to get some things, including Costco.

81F and overcast currently.

Had a brief heavy downpour about an hour ago, picked up 0.60”.

Rain due to start again in 8 minutes.

Got ten 4’ bamboo stakes cut in half and pointed and put in on the tallest pepper plants yesterday. Then watered some of them and the eggplants.

Tallest peppers are probably 20” tall and starting to bloom.

Woman finished with PT now headed over Wally World to look for glasses.

A possible candidate for my bearskin hat???
We have a candidate here for you, Kyle. Evidently a bear had been roaming around Newark over the weekend. He travelled further south Sunday night. Tuesday night he got hit by a car on Rt. 1 south of the Christiana Mall.
