Poured cup of coffee. 64° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 85° with thunderstorms and rain most of the day. Changed out house water filters. Did some repairs on the shut off valve's that allow removal of filters. Replaced rubber valve seats. No more showers while changing filters. Filter are mounted up near ceiling. Spent more relaxing time on back porch. Need to check To-Do list for todays plans.
Have not seen frogs at my pond for awhile. Toad was out in lawn.

sitting on outside porch of friend's home in Milton DE, lovely 62 out now but going up to 91 today. I'm off at 8am for Washington NC.
Yesterdays drive down went fine but traffic was heaviest I've seen in a long time, must be summer traffic going to DE shore spots.
Today going to NC should be fine, over the big tunnel bridge.

going to be a busy day, since I am picking up a friend at 4pm to take to dinner, and I need a shower and rest before hand.

Good morning, the low is 57 and going to a high of 73°F. Wind SE 7 mph. 70% chance of showers.

If it rains, then I will be doing, nothing. If it doesn't then I have some stuff to keep the creative juices going for another day or two.

I see a low crawling fog coming up from the creeks. Looks like we are finally getting some moisture on the pastures. Rain hopes are up, maybe tomorrow.

Ct, 60 to start going to upper 80’s ! Sunny now but last night we had another band of light rain come through!

Woman reports Japanese Beetles have arrived (apparently early) and She has been on the warpath, picking them off plants

RS, we have had pretty good luck with the BagA Bug getting most of the beetles ! We have quite a few already and they have only been up for a couple of weeks ! We will see !

Pool filter needs to be cleaned, I guess with all these heavy rains over the last few days it’s getting loaded up with pollen etc. Will do that this morning before it gets hot !

Have to go into work tmrw for a few deliveries! Hopefully I will get done earlier than later, supposed to be a scorcher!

Pleasant out now so will get an early morning walk in !

LS, glad you got some rain...we are bone dry here and the little pop ups have missed us for the last 3 weeks.

BEF, nice job on that gear box...hope that bridge is steel. We ate lunch overlooking it, I think, from the Rabbit Hole.

Mostly, pretty waterfall.

Been outside cleaning up bear damage...he pulled a long dead limb off the paulownia where we had 4 feeders hanging. 2 are now junk, I fixed the other two. He also bent to the ground two shepherd hooks to get feeders off...totally ignored the hummingbird feeders this time.

Got a nice hike in yesterday after the humidity dropped. Need to do some work on my zero turn today.

Good Morning!!!! 75F @ 4:00AM. A mix of clouds and sun. Hot. High 97F. Winds S at 5 to 10 mph.

The very hot, dry, weather has led to many wildfire starts, the closest being the Apache Fire just south of Oroville, CA. It's at 650 acres with 0% containment and mandatory evacuations. West of there the Sites Fire has covered almost 20,000 acres and containment has reached 80%. So far, northerly winds have kept the air clean, but they have also led to very low humidity.

Stayed inside pretty much all day keeping out of the heat. Replaced some upgraded LED under counter lights with the original florescents, reverting them back to dumb wall switch controlled lights.

I think I'll wait one more day on the trailer, and just do more lighting downgrades instead.
