hard to believe my brother's wife got covid again.
so had to cancel Wednesday's work session with nephew's son who gave his grandmom a big hug yesterday.
not in that much of a rush...

got my hairs cut and will stay cool this afternoon

Special Weather Statement has been issued for southeastern Medina and southern Summit County.

A strong thunderstorm has developed over around Barberton and Wadsworth and I s moving northeast.

It has two strong cells … one more north of us and one more to the south of us.

Wind gusts to 50 mph and pea size hail possible.

We’ll get some rain out of it but the heaviest will probably pass to the north and south.

Got about 1/2 of the soaker hose pinned down, some trimming of the lower leaves on the tomato plants that were hitting the ground.

Woman just got back from doctors, brought back an East of Chicago pizza for lunch.

Well finally got the yard areas mowed. Yep, the sun dried it out in 2 days that I was in a cloud of dust!
So much dust that halfway through, I had to go back to the garage and blow out the air filter.... engine was acting like the choke was on.

I forgot about a Russian Olive sapling that sprouted out front.... now a casualty of mowing.... maybe it will regrow, only took it down to about 6". Oh well.

Temp was up to 85° by the time I finished. Not a cloud to be had for shadows....

Maybe tomorrow morning, I'll take the big tractor for a spin and cut the fields. At least I won't be in the dust cloud, sitting above and in front of it.
....and a canopy to stay out of the sun!

GD doing good, just a little discomfort around the 3 little surgical "holes". It is amazing that the arthroscopic surgery of today is so minimally invasive. Everything done remotely through a few 1/2" holes. She came home already late morning.

Bird feeders refilled, hummer feeders refilled, and a couple cold drinks down the hatch.... with humidity hanging around 10%, one will become dehydrated quickly! No cup holder on the garden tractor. At least on the LS, I can take a mug with me.

Shower time, then a bite to eat before heading off to PT. Hope I don't get tortured like last week....

The goal is to have the shower floor 2” below the main floor. That will be filled with wet bed to get the ultimate finished grade towards the drain. The main floor will be 1-1/2” from the top of the form, the shower recess will be the bottom of the form.

think i got that, your form is recessed 2" below the side wall top, which will be the floor height.

My brother got this part finished. pond is over the top side, and gets steep back there. He found out how to use the 4WD.
with him helping, I feel we got a good handle on getting in done, except for some of the pasture areas that is too steep for me.

dad mowed only 15 minuts this morning because he got dumped on...

and my brother got the hydro fluid filled to the mark, said it took another 1/3 gallon. Will have to keep an eye on it.

in the 70s, There was a row of trees about the top where he mowed today, separating the fields. found this 1975 picture of them. in mid 70s we cleared out the trees using our little dozer. Found a 1976 picture with dirt there, so must have cleared late 75-early76.

Good (Tuesday) morning. Overnight Low of 4.6C and it's presently 12.1C, partly cloudy with a gentle breeze. I can still hear the surf in the morning.

Last evening's meeting went well, and quickly. I was home by 1730. I scheduled a meeting with our Minister for Thursday arvo as, for the first time, I'm going to lead this Sunday's Morning Prayer service. (We alternate Sundays between that and Holy Communion)

Nothing planned for today. That's about it, take care all.

We have hot water!
The plumber replaced the circulating pump, ball shut off valve and the one way valve, then we had hot water. When we use it during the day the hot water circulates in a big circle so there is always hot water immediately. The timer on the pump shuts it off at night

My wife greeted the new buyers at the old house for their second tour while I stayed with the plumber. It went well, they have started buying things for the house, so hopefully they will continue and not back out. They said our old house was BY FAR the cleanest house they saw and that was the main reason they wanted it bad enough to offer more than list price. That's why I have learned to pay attention to my wife when she preps a house for sale. It is guaranteed to sell quickly. We also had an offer on the new house today, (for a hefty profit) but I'm tired of moving, besides It still needs fixing up and prepping, but nice to know of the demand.
