Good Late Morning,
Ct, 66 to start going to 76 with a band of thunderstorms coming through between 3 to 6 pm. Not much rain last night, we were predicted to get thunderstorms but it never happened! A little bit of rain but not much !

Today I will finish the gazebo screen repair and clean up the mess I made in the garage !

Scott(vt) Hope you concert series goes well this summer. Is this a fund raiser or just trying to be revenue neutral?

The concerts are actually sponsored by the Cultural Arts Commission in town. We host the concerts at the back of our faculty and yes we use it as a fundraiser! Last year we made $3500 selling hot dogs , burgers , soda and water. The Commission also gave us back the money we spent on the dogs and burgers! So $3500 total profit which we use for other events that we sponsor during the year !

73F and mostly cloudy @ 11:00, heading to around 78F for the day's high.

Line of storms came through late yesterday afternoon/evening, the really intense, severe stuff stayed to the north and south of us. LWS says we still got 0.34" though ...

Got the front lawn mowed first thing yesterday. Woman reported we have peaches ... noticed those while I was mowing. About the size of a golf ball.

Was surprised by how tall the rest of the lawn is, down here by the house ... will need mowed again as soon as it's dry ...

Woman worked up by the shop and along the road cutting back the jungle.

Dumped one cartload of debris for Her over at the compost pile, She has another one up there ready to go.

After the mowing I came down to the house and got all the Medium Hot Block Peppers planted (a dozen of those)

Did a little clean up out there as well, quit and came inside as I started to hear rumbles of thunder.

Rolling seat working much better with the flat-free tires ...

Still have some Long Cayenne peppers (8 ?) and eggplant (12?) to plant - along with the broccoli and cabbage ... but will need to melt more holes in the weedblock fabric to have a place to plant them.

Finished up my Lamb Vindaloo for dinner.

After dinner I headed up to the shop and pulled out the hot plate and drew some fresh hydraulic fluid out of that unopened 5 bucket bucket and heated it up until it started smoking.

Tossed the piston seal in it and let it heat up for a bit and then got that installed on the piston.

Cleaned out the cylinder body and rod and got the gland nut put back on the rod while I was waiting for the seal to heat up.

Wrapped some foam around the piston and seal and put a hose clamp on it and brought it down to the house and stuck it in the freezer.

Will be heading up there in a few to finish reassembling the cylinder and get it put back on the loader.

Then get the Kubota moved out of the shop and get the box blade put back on.

Have a little box blade clean up work to do up around the compost pile incorporate some more debris into the pile.

Probably get the pole for tube feeders put back up and get those hung ... assuming I can find one of the sledges.

Then maybe spend some time marking out the weedblock fabric for more holes..

Plus whatever else come up.

Woman is off to a PT appointment.

Lift cylinder rebuild completed, Kubota moved out of the shop, box blade put back on, and clean up around compost pile done.

Woman brought back Subway so having lunch.

Well the dump/town run was uneventful. I got the 'Official' notice, I don't have a license anymore. It is officially suspended.

Drew, back around 2012 we remodeled the bathroom and cut a window into the outside wall. (Around these parts IF you have 2 means of exiting the bathroom you don't need a window and closed off the door that Twiggy couldn't get through)
While the guys were having lunch Bullwinkle stuffed his head in the window hole and nobody was swift enough to take a picture.
My Himalayan cat and a deer is the only wildlife pic I have.

The day I looked at this place, it was in early March and right outside the front room window in the snow was a track from a bear. That along with the steel roof and the fact that I couldn't see my neighbours were selling points.

I had customers in Dysart and Guilford and one just west of Havelock. I used to do 2 loads/day out of Oshawa to Drain Brothers asphalt plant a little west of Havelock.

Tem - is - kaming Shores. kaming has a soft 'a' same for the 'e' in Tem

80 years ago today, Dad was camped near Lynton UK, and watched the D-day fleet go out thru these waters. He landed at Omaha beach a few days later.

Sorry to hear about you losing your license! Today I took my DOT physical along with my FD physical! Passed both so good to go for another year !

Afternoon all!
Currently 80 degrees and cloudy with off and on showers all day.
Did get the deck rails all completed before the rains came.

After squeezing in a quick walk this morning I went out and got a required inspection sticker on my truck. Spent pretty much the rest of the day puttering in the shop. Remember the piece of oak my wife found on the side of the street? Decided to make a small vase out of it and gave it back to her.

Weather is making my joints ache so it's time to sit back and relax.
I've seen 3 moose 2 bears and numerous other small animals here in the last 30 years.

found a fun spot in an archeological park in Moundville Alabama.
guess i'm going to find out what's in the mounds...

Good (Friday) morning. Overnight Low of 7.6C and it's presently 13.4C, overcast & fairly calm.

Interesting 'telephone conference' with my Urologist... it was "scheduled" for 1715, but I knew that he'd be running late on that time. Short story is that I prepared and ate my supper, watched the evening news and by 1900 I figured that something must have 'come up'... wrong... call from his office @ 2000! Pleasant, although quick, conversation (I informed him that I was onto my second glass of wine).

So, today is back into town to drop off another 'sample' at the Medical Centre for another 'telephone conference' (should be the last one) a week Saturday. I'll do that this arvo, then swing by the grocery store to see if the broken freezer is fixed and the onion rings are back on the 'shelf'.

Sorry about your license, is there any possible procedure to get it back? Not your commercial but your regular license? We have a handful of people who ride around on riding lawnmowers here in town. They go all over the place on them.

rip, how is it going with your father's house? Have you got it cleared up?
I'm wondering if you had some crooks try to forge the mortgage like I've heard has happened, or if he did a reverse mortgage to try and cash out?
There's another scam that a crook tried to scam me when I was "For Sale By Owner". He called it a "wrap around" mortgage. What a criminal. If I signed the scam, it would have kept me on the hook to pay the payments and put the title in his name. He was pretending this as a way to buy my house. I should have called the sheriffs.

Anyway, if you prefer not to chat about it, I understand....
