Been an overcast misty day. .15" rain. Got hair cut.
Made camping reservations down at Natural Bridge for a couple weeks from now. Half hr from the lot, so might get some small hand work done, like trim some trees.

Thanks Drew! I'm going to look at my paperwork...
I don't think that I have that one.... that model was supposedly used before my surgery by 3 years. I'm still going to check.

Almost done running the drip irrigation.... shortened the time per zone this round, anticipating possible rain tomorrow. If it doesn't materialize, I can always give another drink on the weekend.

Out of the 200 Asiatic lily bulbs planted last fall, only about 10 didn't come up. We have more in the greenhouse for replacement, but have to find out what color is needed.
We did a row of alternating colors.... so need to see what color is missing. Probably wasn't the best idea, but at the initial time of planting, it sounded good.

A bunch of trees survived the winter in the greenhouse. 56 Siberian Elm trees (about 16-24"), 25 Bulgarian Black Pines (3-6"), and 24 Forsythia shrubs (8"-12"). Need to transplant them into bigger containers. Maybe this weekend. Hopefully we will have enough containers.

Cleaned the pond this morning, I think the pump is giving up the smoke.... only about half the output than previously. This was a "used replacement" that I had on the shelf.... the original one quit last year. Found one on sale at half price.... might get here possibly by Friday or Saturday, so might have a project replacing it this weekend.

The birds are really being pigs with wings.... bought a 50 lb bag of seed last week -- it's half gone. I'm not kidding... I filled a feeder at 10 this morning, by 14:00, they have emptied it.....
Pigs that fly.....

Another bird is still being persistent trying to build a nest under the back porch roof. I clear out the nesting materials 4-5 times a day for the past week..... it just won't get the message. The bird gets startled and flies over to the hobby shack porch roof .... I'll let it build there.... nope, doesn't like that roof.... (basically the same identical construction, about 25' away). That roof even has big trees on both sides. It keeps trying to build 6' away from our back door.... stupid bird.

Drew, those times to see a Dr or get an appointment have been the 'norm' here for a while. I was finally able to get an appointment for PT for May 29th..... referring paperwork was submitted on April 10th. Pretty much any appointments 6-8 week wait. Just ridiculous!

the current was very strong
the tide was high
he just lost it

Tug boat operator pushing two fuel barges from Galveston dock, lost control and barge
hit a bridge, spilling oil. Not a good day on the water today.
Do they eat shrimp out of Galveston Bay???

nice quiet afternoon. Decided to just chill.

those kind of medical wait times, which I heard were not abnormal in Canada, and years ago at the Veterans hospitals, are not what I'm used to.
Like someone with a newly discovered heart condition is supposed to wait five months?
Clearly what this does is jam up the ER, go in there and a heart specialist has to be assigned to you.

I will call another practice tomorrow, pretty sure I'll get in within weeks.
should be interesting

Yep, looks like it could be a dryer outlet, Don. There are several kinds, but that seems to be the most modern choice. Is the new place still in the Sunset community? And are you interviewing realtors to sell your old place, or doesn't it work that way in Texas?
No vent on the wall behind the outlet and the house has a nice utility room with washer & dryer connections. He did call that part of the garage his workshop. Yes this house is still in the Sunset Community (restricted 55+). It is just just a short 3 mile move. Got all the doors rekeyed today and the internet box came in but I'm having a problem figuring out which cable to plug into the back of the router.
