productive day, got the mower blades sharpened and the deck lubed, and the lawn mowed and trimmed.
I think the mower sounded quieter after servicing and perhaps my imagination but it sounds less strained with
super sharp blades. Nice to get that done since looks like wet weather for awhile.

and I dragged out my six ton Big Red jackstand and put it under the mower deck. It looked a little silly but...

I had to write a note to my next door neighbor about his out of control yapping dog, a puppy but simply barks for hours.
He understood completely and the dog has not been heard since. Part of me feels bad about that, but the small part.
when he was out today I took over a couple of dug up blackberry plants for his fence, extras I didn't need, as a thank you.
and maybe a peace offering. He has two kids who play soccer in his front lawn, not far from my bedroom window and that's all fine.
but not that yapping dog. I hear him yell at the dog constantly to be quiet so I know he knew he had a problem.
I gently suggested an obedience/training school.

should be a quiet evening.

Bill, hope you get a cute nurse.

Good (Wednesday) morning. Overnight Low of 2.8C and it's presently 14.2C, overcast and 'gusty' at times.

It's 'into town' day for mail, scripts & groceries. Just enjoying these late-Autumn days.

Glad to hear from L4N. (y)

That's about it, take care all.

Spending time cleaning up my solar shed where I park the BX, Scag, and Mule. Now starting to rain.
Why do I not like pressure washing in the rain? Taking a break.
I generally don't like doing anything in the rain. Usually because I have to run back and forth between house, garage and barn whenever i'm on a project outside.

BIL chatted with me from hospital yesterday, had his Zimmer knee replaced under a factory recall of sorts. Defective knee.
He wanted to talk about an attorney to get his lost wages back, not my area of expertise though he has a clear product liability case no matter how
many waivers he signed.
There was a whole huge company in Austin that made replacements. They got sued out of business, because somehow, the cleaning process got "improved or deleted" or whatever. Same thing. It caused a lot of infections that were really bad.

You guys were right...checked into hospital at 2 pm
Was 45 minite meat wagon ride from home.
Yup, stroke.

Stroke affected right side. Am typing this with my right hand now. I couldnt do this on Saturday. bp back down to normal.
This is good news! You take it one day at a time, and please listen to your medical staff.

nice peony RS, pretty red one

woodpecker must have miners in family dna, still going to town on stump
he almost disappears into the holes he's dug, comes up with head all covered with dirt and bits
he picks up small stuff and chucks it to the side like a little excavator working

I'm going to come out soon and find my flower pot swallowed up

Saving you hundreds of dollars grinding that stump down for free. Move the pot at night. Do not scare him off.

checked out local hospital online, radiologist report posted,
no new cancer, some heart calcification but ruled out worst case.
Now I have to find an ENT that knows something about Menieres.
guess you're stuck with me for a little longer...
More good news!

MY young nurse is 5' square, but she has a sense of humour. Brings me coffee at 10 when she goes on break.
You be nice to your nurses now, you hear? :)

beautiful pic's y'all, rs, ron, BEF, drew et al.

RNG, sounds like a productive day.

TxDon is ON THE MOVE! Get out of the way! Hope it goes smoothly.

More prayers for our team.

Hope your move goes smoothly, Don. You already downsized when you sold your ranch, right?
Yes downsizing was taken care of during the last move. Closing went smoothly today and I still can't believe we have such a nice house and the rafters are actually 2x6s at 16" centers. Our halls have groined ceilings, I had to look up what that meant. It looks like a lot of quality details went in to make it an authentic tuscan house.
After closing I went to the tax appraisal office to transfer my exemptions but they would not do it unless I had a drivers license with the new address, so I went to the DPS office and they would not let me do a change of address unless I had a passport (or birth certificate) so I went home grabbed my passport, got in line, got a new address DL, went to Appraisal office got exemptions transferred. While I was there I also scheduled an appraisal protest hearing since I paid a lot less than their appraised value, and tomorrow is the last day to protest the appraisal. That is why I scheduled closing today.

I dont usually listen to Drs and generally caĺl them quacks. But my Dad died from complications due to a stroke. Took them 4 days to find him on the floor. I AM listening to them and doing what i am told. Thère is a gòod chance that i will keep my licence. Already told the quack that i Will NOT be working this season. If i am not feeling 100% the last place i want to be is piloting 139,000 lbs down the highway.

Drinking first cup of coffee. 50° with partly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 72° with mostly sun in afternoon. Picked up new safety glasses. They work and I can see good with them. Old pair had scratches and smudges that affected close up work. Trip to Menards cost more that planned. Did some more weeding in gardens. Will continue with that today. May get some mulch put down in weeded areas of gardens.

Looking, good to hear you are recovering.

Mostly, there is about a yard left of this springs chipping. I will put that down in areas that are hidden from normal garden viewing.

Everyone stay safe and well.

Good Morning All.

59 outside this Am, heading to upper 60's.

Rain. And raining. Not heavy though. Could send some to Buppies.

Not much on the agenda today, nothing really accomplished yesterday. Time to start the morning chores.

Have a good hump day all. Be safe, get or stay healthy.

good morning all
raining lightly here too, all day looks like, .36 on rain gauge

Bill glad you are feeling better. You just had a serious wake up call.

CT scan said my heart had partial calcification. Makes we wonder about the calcium in the vitamins I take
and the Tums I eat. Not sure there is any connection between eaten calcium and what shows up in heart.
Also know this is not uncommon. Body just gets miles on it, the road kicks up some tar...

other than lunch with brother today, no plans
