Good morning!!!!

66F and mostly cloudy @ 11:45, calling for a high temp of 69F for the day. Sun trying to peek out occasionally however.

Considerable improvement in the Ten Day forecast with lowered chances of rain, today only around 30%.

Woman was a little under the weather yesterday and didn't do much of anything ... other than feed the resident beasts (me included) and water some seedlings, seems to be doing better today.

She sends Her thanks for the Birthday wishes.

Good progress made yesterday on potting seedlings.

Mostly finished up the rest of the broccoli then started on the cabbage, think I had 2 broccoli and 2 cabbage left that were quite ready ... so around 34 total each of both.

Then worked some on potting more tomatoes ... 6 of the Trip-L-Crop and 4 (or 6 ?) of the Bush Beefsteaks IIRC. Things were starting to get a little crowded in that seed tray:

The Trip-L-Crop have the oddest looking leaves I have ever seen on a tomato.

Had to make up some more potting mix, also mixed up another gallon of 1/2 strength Schultz's Tomato Food to use on the seedlings.

Previously potted tomatoes doing well, most of them probably 8" to 10" high:

The peppers I got potted the other day still have quite a ways to go before they get put in the ground:

Got more 4" square pots ordered from Amazon last night, should be here tomorrow.

Agenda for today:

Bring Cub and dump cart over from the barn and haul plants that are currently out front around back to the shelves where they can get more sun.

Start mining wood for the raised beds.

Maybe prep The Woman's new saw and take it outside and give it a test run ... if She feels up to it.

Possibly some mowing down here around the house ... if it dries out.

Hope everyone is having a decent Monday ... (y)

64°F and .4 inches rain. And it continues.

Likely another frustrating no mow day. So some inside clean up.

Also hope to engage with the tractor dealership regarding my tractor repair. Need resolution and tractor back.

In town Happy Hour this afternoon.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

......

I just had to step back.....

Multiple other issues going on too....
.....

I know that God sends tests our way..... I am just ready for the final exam at this point.....
I have been told in the past that I am "the rock of the family structure" ---- I wonder if I'm basalt or limestone ...... multiple cracks at this point....
.......

Sorry for the troubles.

Be porous. Let it flow through you. In a positive sense.

Hang in there.

Good morning! Low of 41°, heading up to around 74°. Very windy for the next 3 days, 30-40 mph steady, gusts to possibly 65 mph!

It's also dry, dry, and more dry! 7-10% humidity levels have red flag warnings for days!

I am back from my "self imposed time out". I was getting severely aggravated by a few members on TBN, in addition to the daily "family troubles" saga.... I had to substantially step back before I got myself into trouble.

The BIL is still undergoing cancer treatment, more spots metastasized to odd areas of his body. He is fighting strong and maintaining a good mental outlook.
The problems come in from family.... 2 medical professionals that actually do know something, 2 "know-it-alls" that won't stop interfering with their misinformation, and quite a few of "deniers" that won't accept the fact of how bad his cancer is, considering his oncologist maxed life expectancy at a couple years with continuous chemo and radiation therapy.

I just had to step back.....

Multiple other issues going on too....
The knee has been giving me trouble, starting PT again next week. The Dr doesn't think it will help dramatically, but worth a shot to see if it will provide some relief.

Then some fighting amongst other family members that dragged the wifey into the middle... (me being collateral damage).... kinda still ongoing, but I now have the defensive barriers up in place for sure.

Plus some other issues also ongoing......

I know that God sends tests our way..... I am just ready for the final exam at this point.....
I have been told in the past that I am "the rock of the family structure" ---- I wonder if I'm basalt or limestone ...... multiple cracks at this point....

I'll check in occasionally, hopefully all this crap will settle down, can't be a whirlwind forever.....

Hope everyone is doing well. Have a great day!
LS
Great to hear from you!!!!!
Don’t be afraid to vent to us. We all vent our frustrations on here at times.
Sorry knee still bothering you.

With a twinge of envy I read your gas/diesel prices. Ours seem to hover around $5/g. To be honest I don’t pay that close attention, other than complain, just buy what I need. Only other choice would be stay home and do nothing, but not really an option yet. Using E-0 is self inflicted, but mostly likely I’ve wasted money on less sensible choices.

70°
Was up at 5. Was foggy for son’s drive to work, he called about half way in and we talked until he got to work.
I slept some more afterwards.
Years ago I bought a kit of screws to fix squeaky floors, screw in using depth guage and snap off. I found them the other day, so gave them a go. Fixed some, helped some, but still squeaky in upstairs hall in places. Taking a break, my knees not up to a lot of floor work.
Kitty on me now.

So good to hear from LS, sorry for family issues.
