THat's great! What kind of glue did you use? Must be good to hold a fan blade.
Cyanoacrylate, but the 'super thick' specialty kind from a hobby store. Far better stuff than the typical 'crazy glue' from Wally World.
The blade broke leaving a bit of a flange that the glue could hold onto, making it a little stronger bond.

Inside project completed! Fans are working great! Super quiet, which was the result we were after.

These fans are used as a "room to room" transfer fans. They create a nice circulation of the pellet stove heat. Without them, the back of the house gets much cooler.

The first set were 110v AC, but only small 120mm. These are twice the air movement, 200mm diameter, 12v DC. The AC ones were about 5 years old and were starting to make a high pitched whine. Started to get annoying when it was quiet in the house.

Hopefully, these will last a long time. They are rated at 60K hours.

Well I had a bit of a reality check today while working on my building plans.
A good friend that’s a builder was asking me about who was going to build it. When I told him that I was going to GC it and do what I felt like, he suggested that I was nuts, and that I would never be able to follow any kind of schedule or keep a budget with the availability of quality subs. We talked about it for a while, and I think that I have to agree with him. Next, I had to talk him into taking on the project, which isn’t a certainty in his mind, but I think that he will. I could work with him doing what I wanted to, and he would pick subs accordingly that could work with me in their way. Realistically, this way, the project would move forward with or without me, and I would have a good handle on timing and cost. He at least took a set of plans to give me some budget numbers.
I spent a large portion of the afternoon with him, but did get out in the little plane with my son for a while, putting it away just after sunset.

Sitting in front of the fire now, watching my grandson while his parents are out to dinner.

Tomorrow morning I’ve got to get out early and go to Ogdensburg, NY first thing in the morning. We are going to have to wait there most of the day. There is nothing that I’m aware of to keep us occupied there. Perhaps we’ll get a car and venture across the St Lawrence into Canada and do some exploring. Or, what ever else we might come up with.

Thanks, I'll have to keep that in mind.
