Does anyone have any thoughts on Chinese post hole augers?

they turn inscrutably
Mine always wants to dig to China...

I'd buy from a big company with a long warranty, at least three years on gearbox.

Ted, nice job for your daughter. Once again the first responder...

Got all my okra planted, sprayed all the veggies with organic bug spray,
nicely caught up, just going to chill for the afternoon.

65°F and .16 inches rain

Last two days have been miserable, picked up some flu bug or something. This morning actually feel human again, but definitely a conserve energy day.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Planned chores are done, so I'm done for the day.

Fortunately, the ZTR mower's battery did take a charge, so I pulled it out of the garage, hooked up the aerator and made a couple laps around the lawn. The aerator does pull nice plugs, but I think the Gator will be a better towing machine as it's got a lower range and more of a turning radius. Using a drop hitch will put the tongue of the aerator at exactly the right height.

Dog gate went in easily and looks good. Bella is a bit suspicious of course since it's something alien to her.

Boy, do I have a lot of branches down this year! Too wet to rig the chipper to the tractor, but it won't be long before I do

Apparently there was a lot of discussion at the wood shop club meeting wether to get the laser engraver/cutter or get the CNC Router. Some people thought the laser was not a a real tool for a wood craftsman. After the laser passed another club owner donated his CNC router to the club so now we have both. I don't have a clue what they can do or how to use them but that's why I joined - to learn. This is going to be fun cool hobby during those 100˚+ days this Summer.

I thought I was in big trouble yesterday - I was washing the car outside with gray2 roaming free in the front yard and Whipper on a leash and the Community Standards guy stopped in front of my house. He is the guy that enforces the rules of the HOA. He just wanted to talk about the car, real friendly, he's live here for 17 years.

You'll have fun with the laser. It might be strong enough to cut through some polycarbonate besides imprinting on wood.

I wonder if the Community Standards guy just stopped by to give you a surreptitious worry about code violation?

collards to food pantry, okra planted, found another tray in greenhouse, how could I miss it...think I'm going to call a neighbor and see if he wants these okra plants. I already have plenty.
then in rising winds picked a big basket of collards and bagged them up as house presents for tonight's dinner.
Also taking a bottle of wine. Starting to sprinkle now but don't think we'll get a hosing until dinner time.
Right when that poor guy is going to try to cook
burgers on the grill.
I'm finding a comfortable chair...while I find out my blind date enjoys a good Red Man chew and spit.;)
Try some?
and for sure, avoiding all discussions of politics or religion.
Let's see, where were we, fertilizer preferences?...
John Deere or Massey? Oh, Case IH? Well, which model...
Actually the smart thing is always to let them talk about their grandchildren.

Now if I worked up the energy, I'd go pick one of my few first roses and take it over in a little tiny vase for my new friend.
With a vase (shot glass) that's manageable in the cupholder of a car getting home, with a napkin around it.
This has worked nicely in the past.
And if she doesn't look like a gorilla I'm sure I'll have a good time.

Drew, glad you had a good time. When I got divorced, I was 37-38, with no kids, a good job, and a nice house. I had women coming out of the woodwork in my direction. I was careful not to become a "player". In fact, I did no "playing" until I met one gal and we were somewhat serious. But things with her were not pointing in the direction I wanted. She was actually a very fine person. She just liked to do things that I didn't see myself wrapping my life up in. Eventually, the good Lord found me the right person.

I had one girl who looked just like Charlize Theron make a play for me....but she smoked cigarettes. Uhm....no thanks. One gal had a spoiled brat kid. No thanks. If a gal had kids that could stand on their own, I'd be fine with that, but parents who are enablers for their kid's ruinous lifestyles....not for me. I had one gal, definitely a 9.5 actually waiting for me at my house when I got home one day...I hadn't seen or heard from her in 2 years. She had dated my buddy, and grew up in our hometown. She was dressed to kill, and hair and makeup perfect. I was NOT going to let her in my home (or the neighbors would be giving me a few smiles for a long time). We talked on the driveway for over an hour until she realized I wasn't going to let her come in. I "thanked" her for stopping by, and told her it was nice to see her, just to let things down and end easy. She got the hint I wasn't interested.

All this to say, it's ok to be a bit finicky. Nobody knows what you want or need but God.

Drinking first cup of coffee. 37° with light rain this morning. Heading to 45° with rain most of the day. Wind has in the teens since yesterday. Not much going to get done. Help wife get ready for tomorrow. Not much else going to get done.
Using new computer some speed benefits. Backing up my iPhone's and iPad's takes less than 10 minutes. Using USB 3.1 Gen 1. Apple Lightening cable is USB 3.0. or USB SS or? :confused2: They sure know how to confuse you. Here is a video if you really need to know.

Randy and Buppies, my son and I have had the surgery. We both have full pain free motion. Strength takes time. Son had his at 40 years old. Today he can hunt with a bow as good as he did in his late 20's. He is now 46. Recovery takes longer than most Dr's will tell you. Plan on 6 months for motion. Strength will slowly come back. Will therapy fix it. Maybe. Therapy made ours worse. I had bicep tendon, spur removal and rotor cuff repair surgery. Son had spur and rotor cuff surgery. Lots of stories about shoulder repair surgery. Many are good. But some are not. Find a Dr that has high recommendation and a high success rate. Hope yours and others have a good results.

My buddy had his operated on by a sports surgeon in Houston. He said it looked like a shotgun wound, I said it looked more like he had been shoved off a cliff and landed on his shoulder. It did take a Looooooong time to heal, but years later, he says he has full motion and strength.

Our grand daughter sent us picture of her new car. GGD is in picture. I would have a smile like that to.

Oh my, my favorite sports car. And a cutie of a GGD.

I have a theory, that if a person bought the latest model mid engine corvette, and then GM goes out of business. Have the car trailered home, store it in an air conditioned/sealed barn on jack stands for 30 years and see what that "barn find" would bring??? (for your children or grandchildren)....

Hope you get to feeling better. Also hope you can get your propane line issue cleared with the fewest problems possible. My buddy has a small horizontal drilling machine for projects just like this. If dirt, he charges about $2K plus materials or so to go under a 2 lane road. Price goes up for rocks or gravel. They can go a bit deeper to avoid your driveway's under layment.

Slovakian varmint hunting dogs, lamb taking a nap on a fallen branch, helping a wounded fox. We get it all here on Good morning.

Roy, I would be afraid to pull anything behind the Z turn unless it was on easy rolling wheels (like a sprayer). Those things have expensive hydro wheel transmissions, while the gator won't hardly know it's back there.

Prayers for all.

What kind of car is that Ron? It looks faster than mine, do you know if it goes 0-60 in less than 4.7 seconds?

Don, here's a neat CNC mill that your shop could use. It's also somewhere very near you according to the ad.

Nice, they say the one being donated is very expensive I wonder if that is the one?
Just checked, the address is in our neighborhood! I bet that is the one. good find!

edit, I just cross referenced the name on the club email with the address and it is not the same address. Need to do more investigation.
