Hey Kilroy! Glad you made it another year! I can see you are gonna look at everything with that new FLIR.
Thank you!

next week, when I change water filters under the house, I want to check out all the HVAC ducting…

Happy Birthday Kilroy. What type of FLIR?
Thank you!

63°F and raining, .24 inches so far.

Apparently, Mule needs the neutral starter safety switch replaced. Started right up when bypsssed and battery jumped. On order.

Guys won H&F. 🤙

Had hoped to test run my LS with its newly cleaned fuel cap. Maybe just let it run in the tractorshed as I don’t mow in the rain. I did get cap completely apart and cleaned, however no idea if put back together properly. Seems the inner part has 2 springs and a valve. Not expecting that, all went flying when released, so only a guess how it fits together. No luck finding a diagram. Replacement on order.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day
Gals let you win because St. Valentine’s a day is coming up and they want good gifts…😂🤣😂.

Jumping or climbing?

for the enclosure we got for Harry up at the wood lot, since he could possibly climb the Cain-link, I toppped the fence with 6” black corrugated drain pipe on the inside, so that he a) cannot get good purchase if he gets that high, and b) it forces him backwards, shifting his center of gravity inward making it (coupled with a)) virtually impossible to go over the top.

Hopefully, neither. The dogs have been playing at the lower fence, but haven’t seen Mylo in the yard since last fix. Potentially 500ft of fence, maybe rig a strand of barbed wire, not 6in pipe.

I'm extremely thankful that Ive never had to experience knee surgery. I hope those who have get good results and recover quickly.

If you haven't damaged your knees yet get one of the thick foam pads and use it when you have to kneel on concrete or hard surface. I think that has helped me a lot.

as expected my friend with the double knee replacement did not have a fun night last night,
described pain as beyond 10, so they don't have his meds dialed up enough yet.
He has been quiet for awhile, I think they finally dosed him so he can sleep. But I get an occasional text from him.
only person I text with and only while in hospital.

he is caregiver to his 103 year old mother who lives near Fort Dix.
I may have to help with a grocery run this coming week for her
She went to Brown/Pembroke way back when and she still remembers I went there.
Thankfully she has a full time live in caretaker, the cost of which her son shoulders.
He is a very good son and takes wonderful care of her. Does her food shopping every week coming over from PA
And now he is laid up and I know he is nervous about his mother. actually I think he hurts so much right now, or even better,
is medicated adequately so he feels almost no pain. Only someone who has been through this can explain and I haven't.

headed off to local orchard to get some more apples, then down to brother's for a glass of wine.
nice way to end a cold grey drizzly day

What is Wiarton Willie forecasting? 😵‍💫🤠
He didn't see his shadow. There will be 6 more weeks of winter. IF he did see his shadow, then spring would be after 6 more weeks of winter.

LS, there are 6 bolts (11 mm/ 7/16" heads with rubber washers), hold the roof on.

THe groundhog predicted an early spring based upon gloomy weather today ... IDK how scientific that is. They said he predicts 6 more weeks 80% of the time. He probably uses the same information my weatherman gets.

Txdon, I got thinking about your knee surgery yesterday while kneeling down under Mule to install wiring. I remember people that had knee replacement saying they could no longer kneel anymore. Did your surgery and PT give you the ability to kneel?

Got the cando pad for kneeling today. It feels good.

That rodent is more accurate than our local weather people. Less hysterics too.

Happy birthday KilroyJC! Hope you got a big piece of cake to go with holding that sofa down... :)

I keep 2" thick foam pads almost everywhere, to put down for when I kneel. My knees are still stock, but I've been hard on them from bicycling, motorcycling, hackey sack, softball. I need a pad in front of my fireplace when I'm starting a fire, but I don't want it to catch fire...

My wife came home last night after staying with her mom, who had a fall and broke her hand. She fell again, despite my wife trying to keep an eye on her and help her, and now she is in the hospital. Her short-term memory fails, so it doesn't remind her that when she needs to get up, she should call for help, use her walker, etc.
Prayers.

Tractor is like new again. Changed all three relays in the roof. Got my horn back, the heater fan works on both low and high, the amber carnival light works on the same circuit as the front work lights. Both wipers work again. Life is good. The job took all of 1 hour AND I moved some snow too.
Glad you got her back up! You need a warm cab up there.

Hope that fixes it!

Looked to start cleaning up Paddock #2 when I received a call from the antennae repair bloke that he was available. Short story is that it wasn't the 28 y.o. antennae but an internal house connection = easy fix (especially when you have the right equipment/tools/parts). He said that, although he could replace the antennae, it was best to just leave it alone as it was working fine and to wait until it truly 'crapped out'. How good is that! He could've hit me up for a full, new, installation and I would've been none the wiser. (y)
Glad the guy was honest. The world needs more honest people.

Probably can't post tomorrow-- Dr. is going to work me over and I will be laid up for a while. :(

So, I found a pix for Ron that I could post tonight-- a Blue Heron that hangs out near our pond.
Prayers all goes well.
Herons will eat large fish out of your pond. I need a way to scare them off.

Although today was a beautiful sunny day I was inside most of it attending training for our upcoming March 5th primaries. Always look forward to these trainings and seeing old friends who, alhough opposites in some big ways, still have forged good working relationships with each other over the years. It's kind of hard for some to understand the people who have worked in this for a long time, how we can have all kinds of fights but when its over it's over and both sides know they did their best and next time the results may be different and you can get past it and go have coffee or catfish and talk about how many tomatoes got picked yesterday or the best way to fix a gate or any kind of things that we talk about on the GM thread. It helps anyone to learn how to never miss an opportunity to be a gracious winner and to never, never be a sore looser. Ok, sermon is over.
I'm fine....until the shenanigans start.

Whenever one of those Herons show up at my garden pond. The number of fish in pond gets lower.
Yep, maybe a grey hound or whippet to chase them off? Or a robotic scarecrow? Or something flying through the air?
Ron, that pic of the doves was awesome. We have almost the same birds down here, but about 20-30F warmer than you during the winter.
Our little rose bushes were still blooming until the freeze we had back mid January.

Off today, but attended an online meeting for over an hour.

Tractor has front tire flat, have put slime in it years ago, needs more. Actually needs new rim and tires on front. Rim's beads are probably rusty again (made mistake of filling them with water when new). And the tires are 21 years old, still have plenty of tread, but the sidewalls have scads of hairline cracks due to age. Ka ching. 11.2" - 24" firestone Traction and Road R1's.

After filling tire, moved a huge oak stump over to burn pile. Maybe 36" diameter x 5' long. It was the remainder of what my son and I cut the top part into firewood.

Took son to doctor appt. He has a sinus/respiratory infection. Need to go get his antibiotic here in a bit.

Ken, sounds like your son had some fun at the SOR. There are some cool SOR videos on youboobtube.

I gotta say, Youtube premium is really nice when I'm at work, and I want to watch a "How To" video, and there are no ads. Just don't like the buyout cost. $22./month for whole family that lives at this address. But when I log on at work into my google account, it follows me.

Supercross racing has been extremely exciting this season. I watch on Peacock channel (maybe $7/month). They are going to race in Ron's backyard (Detroit) tomorrow. Crowds have been big and there have been multiple winners in the first 4 races, so that adds to the excitement.

Rich, where 'ya been? Hope all is well.

Helogabals, thanks for coming back. I enjoy your posts, and you have many interesting aspects to your life. That is enough wire for a skyscraper!

riptides and LS125, y'all need a quiet room to wind down. Actually, I hope the issues are just 1st world issues that can be overcome. Maybe the milkroom will be the quiet room in the future?

Kilroy, that FLIR might be handy for your single male friends to borrow and take to the dance. They will be able to determine the hottest girls there. :)

Scottie, nice pics. Beam me over there for happy hour! Looks like y'all are having fun.

Wifey fixed me a wonderful sandwich, one of my favorites, leftover pot roast on a hoagie type bun with havarti cheese and a smear of mayo.

Storms on the horizon. 69F at the moment. We actually need it to rain another 150 miles west of Austin/San Antonio to replenish the aquifers. But it looks like these rains will fall mostly east of them.

Drew, have fun with the gardening. My daughter "wants" to have a big garden, but I know she'll have all kinds of excuses when the work part comes along....

Prayers for Bupps and the rest of our team.
