Drinking first cup of coffee. 33° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 36° with a slight chance of sunshine. Menards and grocery shopping went good. All the shelves were full. Got backup lights mounted to Mule Bumper yesterday. Got part of wiring completed. Waiting for switch to arrive to complete project. First will get started by cleaning up shop and putting tools away today.
Time to put a new seed cake in feeder.

good morning all
light rain out, will continue for a while then clear up for some dry weather.

Riptides, hope easier times coming for you and milkhouse. I bet it will be beautiful when you are done.

not sure why up so early, seem to be going to bed earlier.
can't wait for longer days, more daylight

no big plans for today. Last pack of seeds comes in today, hopefully will get greenhouse built on Saturday.
little electric greenhouse heater came in, will be run on 750 watt setting only. Only one 15amp outlet in garage and rv
already plugged into that. Granted little draw there unless battery charger comes on, but if set it to 1500 watts, I just
know it will trip that sketchy gfi I have in garage. It's only 6x6 so not much space to heat.

from what I've seen on competitive greenhouses, the price for the Costco one is not excessive if good quality. Harbor Freight has build it yourself ones,
like what I had in NC, of plexi panels for about 900 bucks. But they don't get very good reviews.
I think with a greenhouse, you have to go good/large or be disappointed. Particularly in managing heat with vents when sun comes out.
I saw 109 degrees in old greenhouse before the plants died. Did that a few times and learned.

I can't do the build it yourself stuff any more but this would be easy for Dennis. So I'd have to add at least 500 bucks for two guys to build it for me.
But likely next year I will do that, get a larger better greenhouse. Nice hobby as we get older, you can sit down on a seat in your greenhouse and tend to the plants. But I need to get this stuff out of the house, miss my old garden/potting shed on farm. As long as I stay under 100sf, I can proceed without permits.

Ron, I'll put on that album now, thanks

Probably can't post tomorrow-- Dr. is going to work me over and I will be laid up for a while. :(

So, I found a pix for Ron that I could post tonight-- a Blue Heron that hangs out near our pond.
Whenever one of those Herons show up at my garden pond. The number of fish in pond gets lower.

you look at the eye of that bird and can imagine a giant prehistoric pterodactyl coming to eat you...

I have found this guy's channel to give some interesting insight to world commerce.
Since I'm a boater...,like to follow shipping.
What is going on now due to the Houthi's (thank you seawhiz CIWS for working so well)
the shipping routes are changing dramatically. Clearly to less efficient/longer routes to get away from the missiles.
Missile hit a tanker last week and started a bad fire, thankfully controlled.
That must have raised alarms at Lloyds and other major insurers, so now the carriers can either pay huge premiums to take the riskier route, and save
time, or pay for a lot more fuel and time going the long way around. Looks like few want to deal with missiles since this video tracks all the
big ships.

there is free software for ships, like planes, you can put on your phone.
So Scott can look out at that big tanker going by and look it up on his phone.
It's a localized version of what this guy uses, all driven by AIS, the ID system used everywhere, even on larger
personal boats and most megayachts.
