Good Morning!!!! 56F @ 5:21AM. A drenching rain tapering to a few showers late. High 66F. Winds light and variable. Chance of rain 60%.
Radar is showing rain west of here, moving south to north. If it holds, it seems unlikely to rain much, if any, here.

Not sure if it's still ongoing, Don, but a month or so ago when I replaced the microwave down south, Home Depot was having a sale on Whirlpools. I found one for about $200, but if I had it to do over again, I'd buy slightly up the line to get a few more features.

Amazon has lots of options, Bill. The Bug-A-Salt guns are fun, and the electric fly swatter works well, especially when the flies get trapped against a window.

Spent most of yesterday looking for a new family doctor. My current one retired for medical reasons (how ironic), and I'm moving to a new area anyways. I learned that there are a LOT of 60+ year old doctors, very few 40- doctors, and hardly any of them are accepting new patients. Those that are seem to have degrees from bush league schools no one has ever heard of, and speak English as a second language. The search goes on.

Road trip south today, likely dodging a few rain showers along the way. Hope to get some help putting up the hanging shelves on the other end in the coming days.

Happy Hump Day, gang!

I am a big fan of the disposable fly traps that you just add water, there is a bit of odor to them but you shouldn’t need them in operation all that long — if I had that bad of a fly issue I would put up with it for three-four days to eliminate the problem. I use them around our chicken coop&run and they work great, I order them online but our local TS has them on the shelves

I use these, yeah a bit of a pain and slight odor when refilling. We have a lot of flies out here too.

65°F and 2.75 inches rain and raining.

Having an electrical issue. System not producing much power from limited sun, but more importantly not running off batteries just generator. My installer due out this morning to determine the fix. May take time to get whatever replacement so also need to determine more efficient workaround. Running propane generator not the answer. Hopefully we can reconfigure at lower level but battery based. With my old system, I could do myself , but this system a bit more touchy and installer didn’t feel comfortable attempting via bad phone connection.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

May I heartily recommend high gooseneck spouts and big paddle handles? Not necessarily the most attractive, but definitely most practical and user-friendly — when the original Deltas die in the bathrooms that is what I will be installing!!!
Noted.

I am the construction person. The designer has other thoughts.

looks like another 18 plus hours in the tunnel car wash. All South Florida is being rocked by a storm that seems stuck here, and wind is picking up tomorrow. Been sustained in the 20's today, 30 tomorrow plus gusts. Glad I'm not going anywhere.

nice dinner out with friends, got soaked coming back to rv.
repairman coming some time tomorrow afternoon so tomorrow I will stay here for the day, maybe get that leak fixed.

now to curl up with a book and listen to the rain pound on the roof

Good (Thursday) morning. Overnight Low of 7.7C and it's presently 18.7C, clouding over with rain predicted this arvo. Fairly calm.

Successful 'into town' trip yesterday and the split wood had dried enough that I was 'good to go' for more stacking.

What with the expected rain and an early arvo dental appointment, I'll give the wood-stacking a miss for the day. I've also got a dinner/meeting tonight (1730-2130).

That's about it, take care all.
