38º this AM going to 81º today. First morning in the 30s this fall.
Spent most of yesterday brush hogging the neighbors creek. Her husband died of a virus in 2020. The weeds and brush were 5 ft tall. The new RUT 5' BH is the bomb! I highly recommend it to anyone wanting a high quality BH for their skid steer or front end loader.

Eeep! And the pontoon boat is still in the shop getting winterized!

Fortunately, it is generally still above freezing for the next while. But I have to get the boat back and put up the skeleton, and then the tarp for the winter.

Meanwhile, I did the last mowing of the year at the rental property - just in time!

59 outside this AM, heading to upper 70's. Maybe high 70's.

Digging has begun for Milk House project.

On tongue and groove, our whole barn walls and ceiling is like that. Must have been a lot of work. Has held up well for 100 years.

Have a great day all.

We usually do a Winter Caribbean cruise out of Galveston but because of the Estate settling and knee we have nothing planned yet.

Good Morning! 38ËšF heading to 44Ëš brisk North wind at 23 mph. We had 0.64" of rain since midnight. typing this as my knee is going up and down on the flex machine. I got my refill on pain pills yesterday and have started to taper down hoping they will last through rehab. I can have up to 12 per day (2 every 4 hours). Yesterday I just had 5. I should be fine with 5 today also even with PT coming this afternoon. I'm using the 3 wheeled walker even though I have not been approved, need the tray and basket.

Good Morning Don,
Hope the knee recoup is coming along well ! Yes we have been going with the same couple for the past 10 or 12 years. We stay at an all inclusive resort, long days on the beaches, eat drink and be merry !:)

Manage to read a couple of good books, some long walks on the beach and maybe an excursion or two. While we are still able !;)

Have a great day !

I know a bunch of us have collections of battery powered tools. Curious as to how you guys store them.……….What do you guys use? Something homemade, a commercial solution? Maybe a pic or 2?

I’d be curious as well. I have a lot of cordless tools and they are not stored elegantly, or even in the same room.

I did find a solution for batteries, I have these holders in two different rooms, so there is always a battery nearby.

Good Morning
52 and not going much past that. Drizzle and fog seems to be the order of the day.

Not the sort of day that makes you want to be outside.
Fortunately, I have a lifetime of cleanup awaiting me in the shop. I’ll likely put a small dent in that today.
Not much else planned. I just filled out my mail in ballot, will drop that off at the post office when I go out to lunch.

I know a bunch of us have collections of battery powered tools. Curious as to how you guys store them. Initially I built a stand 12x48 with 2 shelves and the top. Put some various corded tools on the bottom, the middle shelves the battery chargers and the top for the various cordless. Now I’ve collected way more than neatly fit on that shelf so thinking about modifying. Possibly add an upper level using hangars made from pvc pipe.

Good morning! Low did go down to 16°. Only a light dusting like Check got. Sunny and absolutely clear. Supposed to hit 43° today.

The wifey mentioned multiple times to do tongue and groove on the addition. We had a large sunroom in the old house that was T&G on the walls and ceiling. We both loved the look.
Unfortunately, the cost was about 4 times the drywall....so got taken off the "want list".
It can always get added later.....

Fritz, your daughter is brave for sure..... I don't think that I would go on one of those boats.....

Don, knee progressing nicely. Keep up the good work!

Buppies, good luck with the removal surgery this week.

Helos, welcome back! Good to hear things are better.

Need to do some errands in town today. Hopefully traffic will be light.

Everyone have a great day!

On the subject of storing batteries and rechargeable equipment I'm in the "all over group".
I've 5 "major" sheds/workshops, mostly dedicated to different activities, in two states and 2 prime battery platforms, DeWalt and HF. Since almost every bargain sale on DeWalt that includes a battery includes a battery charge I scatter my battery chargers amongst my worksites. And usually keep a battery charging in each of them.
This way regardless of where I am I usually have a charged battery nearby to provide at least some "fuel".

Good Morning!!!! 57F @ 7:45AM. Plentiful sunshine. High 72F. Winds light and variable.
Sodamo, I don't have enough battery power tools to have thought up a storage system, but remember RNG had a set-up for fire prevention.
Fire wise, I picked up an inexpensive stainless steel table to park the charger on, and placed them both on the concrete slab on the stucco lined front porch.I try to unplug the charger as soon as the batteries are charged, but too often I forget or get lazy. Storage wise, the tools go on shelves in a cabinet, and I also got some battery hangers for the inside of the doors. At the new place, there are 120VAC outlets on the concrete BBQ pit, but I'll have to figure out what's wrong with them before I can use them. Probably a bad GFCI outlet in a non-weather proof box.

The drywall in the great room at the new place is in pretty bad shape after the PO removed a fireplace and chimney. Quotes I got for fixing it ranged up to almost $6K, so I also priced 1/4" cedar T&G I can self install. I used that on another bad wall at my first house, and it was easy and fun to install. About a quarter of the price, but I wonder about the wisdom of using it in a room that will eventually have a wood stove.

Got another bookcase packed yesterday, probably have enough now for a full load. It's looking wet for next weekend, so I'm thinking about bumping up the trip by a day. Really don't want to be loading or unloading in the wet, or driving in it, either. We do need the rain, though. Two wildfires started southeast of here yesterday, but they were quickly brought under control. The burn ban has been lifted, but people aren't being careful enough. Still too dry for me to even think about lighting a burn pile.

Hope everyone's week gets off to a great start!

Can't believe 11:30 already. Running my FB picture site is really starting to take some time now with over 20K members.
My battery tools are scattered all over, between the garage, barn and truck. I'm keeping the new impact in the truck. However, I haven't bought a large AH battery. When i had to remove the camper tires, the impact would not break the lugs, I had to stand on a 4 way tire iron.
I was going to build a wall rack to hold them and the chargers, but haven't started it yet.
when I charge i put the charger on the concrete garage floor away from things. I also forget to remove sometimes.
