@Buppies looks like the belted galloways enjoy a little snow?

Looks like we are getting rain in E. Texas in about an hour or so. May rain until noon tomorrow. We had a dry summer so need it. Did get a good 4" couple days ago both E. Texas and Central. Probably make the ground better for pulling some stumps.

Hope the knee continues to heal up good Don.

Everyone have a great day tomorrow!

Good morning

Yesterday weather was nice. Around 0 C, no wind, dry. Went again to forest. Swing saw and show boys how winch works. Choker chain, sliding hooks... Damn, that's interesting. I have rather small winch - 2T
But with pulley you can double the force.
 kids made those forces when they realized how it works

Show them how easy it is to tip tractor. Line went on 6, all nice and smooth. As it should be. Then stump "caught" log. Ok, pulley time. But than line is no more on 6, but 8 ... With that small tractor you have to be really careful.

At the end have collected 2 loads of wood. I would say - 10 m^3.
About 1/3 was top level logs for sawmill. 6 m (20 ft) at least 20 cm (8 in), most of them was 40 cm D. Damn heavy. But pricey either
Most of material is 3 m (10 Ft) material for pulp factory. No big buck, but still reasonable. Good thing is that kids can winch them out. Wife is looking over them while I am playing around with big timber

Today muscles are in pain.
Now back at desk, then have to drive 2 h to visit customer. Nice dude actually
But it's raining

Have nice day you all !

I know a bunch of us have collections of battery powered tools. Curious as to how you guys store them. Initially I built a stand 12x48 with 2 shelves and the top. Put some various corded tools on the bottom, the middle shelves the battery chargers and the top for the various cordless. Now I’ve collected way more than neatly fit on that shelf so thinking about modifying. Possibly add an upper level using hangars made from pvc pipe.

What do you guys use? Something homemade, a commercial solution? Maybe a pic or 2?

I like the smell of coffee brewing. 38° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 41° with wind and mostly cloudy skies. .21" rain over the weekend. Leaves are falling fast. Decided to get mower out and blow leaves out away from trees. Only a click when trying to start. Took starter off engine and cleaned it up. No luck still would not work. Checked JD for a new one. $445 for a new one. Ordered one off EBAY. $85. NASCAR race was good. I think. Napped thru most of it. Haven't check list to see what I will get done today.
Hold on tight. Branch may break off.

i have been looking at a better way to store and charge my tools. I did install a 10 wide spaced power bar. It works good for the 5 different charges I have. But tools are scattered at different places in shop, house and barn. Finding wall space to mount one of the many racks that Amazon has available would be a problem. Seems like there is something already hanging on every wall space where a rack could be mounted.
