Good Morning!
God has given us another chance to get it right (or at least not screw up too badly).
66F going to low 90s, sunny all day. Made it to 91 yesterday.
Dropped Harry off to Doggie Day Care, went to Georgia and picked up order of 600’ of 1-1/4” black poly tubing. Also got a ten-pack of 1/2” EMT and some packages of 2-screw clamps for it for another project.
Got back home around lunchtime and called the spa place, and service manager answered the line. I (uncharacteristically) calmly stated that nobody showed up, and nobody (meaning YOU ya jerk!) returned any of my multiple phone calls. He expressed surprise and dismay that nobody showed up and they could be over “in a little while”. I replied “no they won’t, because I just came back from Georgia with a truckload of irrigation supplies that I now have to deliver, and then I have to do other things that I COUR HAVE DONE YESTERDAY if
only someone had called and let me know nobody was coming at a reasonable time instead of me making multiple calls that went unanswered, so no - don’t send anyone today. I am now handing the phone to The Keeper of The Calendar, and she will make an official appointment and we want the first appointment of the day, so that if it goes long, someone else is left hanging instead of us this time. Hold on…”
I think I handled that reasonably well…
Then we went up to the woodlot with Senior Dog and she got a Harry-less excursion up and down the mountain, and we dropped off the rolls of tubing, then came home and spent the bulk of the afternoon on the deck.
once the sun dropped enough for it to start getting comfortable again, I went on to the other project, which was to make a kindling/small firewood rack on the sauna, with the EMT.
Pyo-yos should be self-explanatory:
Total time was less than an hour. at some point I will do another on the other side. Now I can empty the last bay in my big wood rack, where I had kindling and sauna small wood, and move the last wood Rick into there, so we can start stacking next year’s wood along the fence.
today is an early start at the woodlot before it gets hot. I will fit the rest of the firewood logs into splittable lengths, and I am putting Mrs in charge of operating the splitter solo for the first time while I do some more excavator work and then change the drive motor oil, now that I have an 8mm hex socket — thanks, Fritz!
I am bringing the bottle of linseed oil along, in case I have time to oil tool handles up at the wood lot.
Happy Anniversary to The Kyles!
Feel better, Buppies.
I hope everyone has a happy healthy safe, productive blessed day!
