Good morning!!!!

It's hard to imagine losing everything you own. Makes RNG's efforts at home protection seriously smart, although I hope less fire risk where he is now.
Hard to say if this is urban enough to be absolutely safe or not, Drew. The natural hazard disclosure came back OK for wildfire, but several towns have burned down in both Northern and Southern California with similar topography. If a wildfire gets big enough it creates its own weather, casting ember storms out in front of it that consume everything in the path. And then there are the fire tornados as seen in the fire west of Redding, CA a couple years ago. Noting survived that.

Beautiful job on the basement, James.

Mind sharing what sort of finish you used on the butcher block counter tops? The ones here don't seem to have much of anything on them and need some attention...
Not sure what others use on their butcher block countertops. I use Howard’s Butcher Block Conditioner. Which reminds me to do my 2 countertops.

It came stock like that from ikea. Pre-finished. May have to oil it once a year.

successful morning.
visit to TSC scored a 40 pound bag of pelletized lime, for same six bucks as the
5 pound organic bag. Got the generator's 40 pound rolling propane tank I have filled, it showed empty, though gen did not
quit, truly running on fumes.
Got the propane out of the car and then headed out again, this time to Lambertville to get mower gas, and fill up the car.
It was starting to get crazy out there. While getting gas a Pantera went by, then a Caterham. What a death trap that is.
I'd MUCH rather have Scootr's car.
Pantera was pretty cool though, looked hard to see out of.

chilling out before I head back out to spread that lime.
Needed to take my good shoes off, usually I forget.

So this morning Jeep headlight lights up, too much technology just to run lights on this thing.
All the holes I need drilled for the wiring in the basement are done, too hot down there now.
Still have to measure the pipe runs for the heat pump to see what needs to be ordered.

Hot out now and humidity is up there, so maybe some more wire runs later.

68°F and no rain

I did get my new Ubiquiti point to point antenna mounted for the Starlink signal
IMG_1155.JPG

Of course not as straight forward as originally thought. Plan was to just remove the unused Yagi and place. Unfortunately a nice well grown palm tree with bushy fronds was smack in alignment. Had to come up with different mounting.

Cottage side mounted as planned with my usual fun with the cable. So what seemed a rather straight forward, simple project took way longer. A good signal, but some tweaking and still need to configure the Wi-Fi side.

Need to do a dump run today. Otherwise may stay off roof and ladders for now.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day
