Good morning. 75 going to 87 today no rain

Taking it easy today.
yesterday mounted the brackets for the trimmer but it is too low for the load bed to clear when tipping so will move it up higher

Was watching an old movie where you put in 25 cents and the bed vibrates. Remember those when traveling through AZ and NM many years ago

China bike assy went pretty good. Online video "instructions" are pretty much useless. It must've had a rough trip over, as somewhere it must've flipped over. Engine oil had leaked out all over and the gas cap vent fitting was busted off. It cranked right up, when I was finally done, which was a pleasant surprise.

Raining this morning. Nice, steady shower, which is still needed and a good thing, but that means no Car Show today, though.

Went to daughters for (me) fixing their pontoon boat trailer (master cyl install). Got it in fine, then find the new "Power Bleeder" didn't come with a connector to attache the req'd adapter - each end has male pipe thread fittings. Guess I need to buy (or find in my stash...) a Milton quick connect, to finish the job... The SIL had "fixed" their TV antenna lead (yanked apart by the dog) by just twisting the main co-ax lead together and taping it up. Sigh... I found a spare roll of new coax cable here - hope it's long enuff. She fed me and the dogs and I played with the grandkids. So that is okay.

Good Morning!!!! 59F @ 6:15AM. Partly cloudy. High near 75F. Winds WNW at 10 to 15 mph.

Glad everything's OK in Paradise, David.

Got a bunch of catching up to do here, not likely to happen, though. It's been non-stop since we did the final walk through on the new home Friday morning. Getting the van unpacked, sorting through the boxes to get a kitchen setup, grocery shopping. Then starting electricity, natural gas, water, internet, etc. Not sure if sewer is included in water, guess I'd better check on that.

Got a scare late Friday afternoon while we were checking out the hot tub. A noise that at first sounded like wooshing water, that kinda blended in with the jet pumps from the tub. But it kept getting louder and louder, louder than a person can shout. It was a jet of some type, at pretty low altitude, likely a fighter of some sort. Not long after that, we saw a very large borate bomber no more than 100' over the house, heading east to a wildfire about 100 miles away. I knew there was an airport a mile or so away, and that the house was under the flight path of the main runway, so it's no surprise to see air traffic overhead. It doesn't have any major airlines running out of there, so I figured there wouldn't be any jet traffic. But apparently the military does touch-n-goes there, and it's a refueling/reloading base for CalFire's air fleet. So I'll get some noise during the day, and fingers crossed it'll be quiet overnight. So far it has.

Still need to get a carpet cleaner in, and start on fixing the various shortcomings identified by the building and termite inspections. Also need to track down a copy of the home warranty, as the microwave/fan unit over the gas range isn't working, and the refrigerator is making ominous noises. I've managed to track down the maker of the hot tub, but they don't list this model in their tech support section, so I'll need to call them Monday.

The patio has a table with a propane fire pit that's been nice to sit around in the evenings, and I've already met several of the neighbors. They seem like very nice people, two are gearheads, so things are looking good there.

Today I'm taking some R&R to do some hiking with my buddy and the dog, dropping by some local parks to see which are dog friendly. Too much fixin' and paperwork make RNG a dull boy.

Hope all of you are doing well, and enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Popgadget, that is a sturdy Milwaukee drill with I am sure lots of torque. I have two of the longer version right angle drills that also have lots of torque but being longer easier to control

Last time I saw it, the drill out in the garage looks very much like these, Fritz. And now I remember how much torque it generates. Enough to rip it out of my hands when it got stuck on a nail...

Morning all, 77 going up to 87 and sunny.
Got caught in a downpour and heavy flooding yesterday while on my way back from the hardware store. Got home and >1" in about 15 minutes.
Last night heavy winds, fig tree bashing against the window, that has never happened before!
Power still on though, will need to look later for damage.

Chimney fix seems to be holding and no leaks so far!

Other headlight went out in jeep, not warning on that one, will replace today and hope it's only the bulb. Still takes time and is a bit painful as located between a lot of stuff and not really visible.

For me being severely lactose intolerant, butter is not a thing. a drop of crab seasoning or a touch of franks red hot works for me. I can't eat seafood in most places as people have forgotten the simple grilling with olive oil (good oil!) oregano and lemon like the greeks do it.

Rip - used to go to a Korean place in Queens NY where they prepared Monk fish in a really spicy sauce. I miss that place, was by my Grandma's.

Hope your friend is ok Wngsprd and they get the tumor clean out.

Got some holes drilled , but did not have a small enough hole saw bit, wanted to go to 3/4" since this will only be a one wire run until it crosses over the basement. Got a few holes done before we needed to take off, late night picking up a kid from one of his friends off to college parties.

Tomato worms, think I got them all, Thankfully got a good supply from Drew earlier on, getting some but heavy rains split them and the worms got a few leaves.

RNG - good to see the house coming together. Always fits and starts, but knowing you it'll be even more amazing soon.

With all the tornado warning and wind lashing, a bit tired and getting a late start.

Be well,
