63 going to 85.

Congrats, LS, on the new granddaughter. Lots of hugs in your future.

Ron, great pic of that fly! Oh, and the frog, too. 😁

Prayers said, Buppies.

Kil, glad your wife's okay.

Took the bush hog off the tractor, and while lubing it in the barn, found another yellow jacket nest a few feet from me. Why they didn't attack when I walked right next to it, I'll never know. Then mowed for over an hour.

Had some rough storms last evening, a little hail and big winds. When I walked down to the road to raise the flag this morning, I could see a big tree lying in the farmers hay field by the road near the corner of my property. So, I had to go check it out. It was clear someone had used equipment to push it out of the road after the storm, but I could not find where it had been standing...it's a sweetgum, and I could remember none up in that area...mostly pines and oaks. It looks like it was snapped off right at the ground from its roots. Good sized tree, too. I'll go look it over later this morning.

Good Morning.
66 with a high of 75 and thunderstorms forecast for today.
We got about 1-1/2” yesterday in a series of thunderstorms, none lasted long, some were pretty intense.

Congratulations on the new granddaughter Ted.

Didn’t do much outside yesterday, got all the important outside chores done Sunday. Did paperwork and made a dent in the perpetual mess in the shop.

Today I would like to go down to the street with hedge trimmers, loppers and the string trimmer to increase the line of sight when pulling out of my driveway on to the state road. It’s pretty limited at the moment. Hopefully I can get it done between showers.
Not much else planned other than paperwork and cleanup.

Congratulations LS

Mowed some more grass yesterday. Lots of thunder but no rain in our area. Watched some PBS video

Buppies sorry to hear about more problems. Hope it clears up soon.

Not sure what I will get into today

Good Morning!!!! 63F @ 5:15AM. Mainly sunny. High 91F. Winds SSW at 5 to 10 mph.
Headed into the 100s for the weekend, then high 90s for the rest of the 10-day. Spring finished with below normal highs, so it was only a matter of time before the weather got back to normal.

Nice drive down from Klamath Falls yesterday. Very little traffic, and some heavy rain with a bit of hail outside of Susanville, CA. Got to see what it was like driving a very twisty mountain road at the upper end of CA32, but didn't have any trouble keeping it in the lane. I did pull over a couple of times to let faster drivers go by, though. Still not pushing it, but did get to about 625 miles on the odo. Ended the day with an estimated 21.5 MPG; will get a better number when I make a grocery run later this week and fill it back up. The only break in instructions I could find in the owner's manual suggested varying throttle for the first hundred miles, and that the engine didn't need any special treatment. It also said the first oil change wasn't needed until 10,000 miles, but I'll ignore that advice and do one as soon as I can get my hands on oil and filter, then again at 5,000 mile intervals.

Better shocks can improve handling. I use Koni's with noticeable better handling and less sway due to wind or passing trucks

Good morning! Low of 60°, heading up to 91°. There is now a slight 20% chance of a t-storm this afternoon.
The humidity and dew points are so low that the storms could be "dry"...... hopefully not... don't need lightning starting any forest fires.

The 'monsoon' trend should return to the region early next week. Maybe we can get some measurable rains.

Daughter and GD are doing great this morning, may actually get discharged this afternoon. Finally got the measurements, 7lb 5oz., 19 1/4" long.

Not sure when we will go up to CO to see the new arrival. SIL's family from Tx. went up there last Saturday for 2 weeks..... we may wait until after they leave. Don't want to overload the daughter.....

Today's agenda is to get a small grocery order and some drip tubing. Then see what else might get accomplished on the home projects.

Another project added to the list is to replace the spindles on the garden tractor mower. When I cleaned the deck last week and put on the new blades, I noticed that 2 of the 3 were cracked at the mounts. The new replacements came in yesterday......

Everyone have a great day!
