when you have time:

boy are there going to be lawsuits, and I bet they will call them titanic law suits...
I wonder if the head guy, who also died, told that father and son who paid him all that money
to ride with him, did he tell them of the past history of cracking noises in the carbon fiber hull?
apparently this is the only non certified sub doing this work. Was the only...

I'm way too claustrophobic to think of getting in something like that.

Pushing the limits. I don't care what kind of hold harmless those folks signed, if owner didn't fully
disclose known issues involving safety, it's not only morally wrong but oh so legally wrong.
Stupid too.
At least they all died instantly, all smushed to pulp. That carbon fiber hull let go with a mighty crack and it was all over
They became fish food.
not my idea of a good time. may they RIP.

I am not an engineer, or a materials specialist, but I am reasonably certain that inserting helical fiber-intrusive fasteners into a laminate composite might just have a little bit of a compromising effect?

Good evening all. 72ºF for the start, partly cloudy, light breeze. Light to moderate wind, sky clouded up and got some strong t-storms, and high temp was 89ºF, HI 99ºF. Friend was doing to auto parts store and had to go to house fire that belonged to member of Wednesday group, He and wife staying with relatives for now. Also got news that former co-worker and friend that I was trying to visit going back and forth for Katy trail died from cancer, funeral tomorrow. Letting first cup of coffee cool. 63° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 84° with partly cloudy skies. .33" rain yesterday. Drian was a easy fix. restriction was around arm that moved stopper up and down. But it sure was a dirty black. Part of my LED lights under window sills on back porch were not lighting. Took connector apart and sprayed with DOXIT. Checked this morning. All LED's work. Did house cleaning with vacuum and duster. Today will get trimmer out and cut thistles in the 2 fields.
Stone was for a corner post of barn that was on my place many years ago.

good morning all
pretty hard rain but slowing down and moving out of area this morning, more rain this afternoon.
1.26" so far. Warmer day, going up to 80

I hope it does stop this morning, taking rv to BIL's commercial shop so his boys can change my oil.
Nothing like having a younger gen that is seriously mechanically minded, these guys do most of the
maintenance on their excavation equipment. My oil change will be easy.
Only tough part is backing out on road. I am not looking for a third ding.... :cautious:
and a big phone pole directly across street on other side.

RS, garden soil looks nice and fluffy, hides those rocks well!

Good (Saturday) evening. This morning was a mild 8C and it's presently 7.4C. It was quite foggy this A.M. for my drive down South and the Fingal Valley section of the Esk River was very flooded. There was 4.6mm in my gauge when I returned home @ 1630.

Very good meeting in Brighton. I left here at 0620, anticipating adverse traffic/areas of road construction/road conditions yet, even after a scheduled pee/pipe break at Avoca, I arrived at the venue around 0930... a good hour ahead of the meeting. Call it 'my military/naval training' but I always want to arrive early. :D

A good run there and back. I managed to get home prior to sunset so was able to get the wood in for the evening and have re-lit the fire in the wood heater.

Lunch at the meeting was so 'substantial' that I've just gone with a few arrowroot biscuits for tea... plus a couple of glasses of a lovely Malbeck to see me off for the evening.

That's about it, take care all.

does the backup camera on your Honda wonk out?
seems the cable was bad:

news from Russia a bit alarming, you never know about news hype, but seems like a real power struggle there
If Putin is to go, guess there's no way to avoid that.
Lenin, Stalin, Putin...been a tough ride for the Russian population.

And Iran is selling every rocket they can make to the Russians so they can shoot them off into
residential high rises in the Ukraine. So much long term damage.
I think the only reason those nuke plants haven't been blown up is that Moscow is downwind.

Frits, hope your daughter gets assigned to some place safe. No postings to L'viv.

rain has stopped, grey and foggy out.

headed out to get rv ready to go, retract stabilizers, etc. And for sure, unplug the electricity...
then a walk to the end of my driveway to preplan my attack. How many k turns I'll need to work my way around that phone
pole on other side of street. While backing up.
was thinking maybe I should make mail box removable.

good morning, 66 going to 82 today no rain but some in the forecast

Yesterday unpacked the new TV and got it set up. Lots of styrofoam for trash.
Was pretty simple to set up. Is flat and does not weigh as much as TVs of the past. The OLED picture is amazing compared to the old LED TV.

The news from Russia keeps coming. Who knows where this is going to go? Ukraine is watching.

Drew, I am with you hoping that she is not assigned to another danger zone.

She is looking to move up either within State Department or DOD. She has interviews at both departments coming up next week. After her recent awards she now has wide recognition and puts her in a good position for next steps in her carrier
