Good morning!!!!

Use several institutions for a number of years. My military retirement is direct deposit to PenFed Credit union, same as when I was active duty. My SS is direct deposit to USAA bank. Both of these are online only for my purposes and have been handy when wanting an auto loan. Locally, we use a credit union for Sophie’s SS and anything involving cash or other deposits, although we physically visit maybe a handful of times a year and do most transactions online. Being too lazy to self manage, investments are with Edelman, don’t think we’ve been to office in 20 years.
All accounts are linked so easy to manipulate.

1.1” rain since midnight. We needed it.
Only bad side is porch roof leaked again. A lot. I think it’s under the dormer window or the corner of the dormer. Next dry spell will caulk it good. It’s been 10 yrs already since this roof was put on after hail damage. The Amish boys were a little off on some of their nailing.

Costco online has a 12x24 garage kit on sale $3k, norm $4k. Does not include shingles, paint and floor. 7ft side walls, no other specs given.

I’m sure I can build for less.
Guy showed up to cut dads split tree, said $800, I said do it. I think my brother just showed up. His lawn mower guy cut his grass and was done before 9am.
Lunch at Salvador/ Mexican restaurant. Was good.

I see from my camera a few limbs have come off the tree at dad’s.
My roof was dry enough I got out and squirted some clear caulk up under the bottom corner of the dormer at the roof. Doubt if it will make a difference but won’t hurt to try. Might have to pull some shingles and the dormer siding and make sure step flashing was done right.

I also use credit union, closest is 45 min away. I would use my mattress before banking with WF or BOA. Also use TD Ameritrade and Vanguard. One pension with Fidelity.
I deposit checks with my phone, and periodically use ATM to get cash. Only recently actually went inside a branch, only to find everything is done remote with a machine, no direct tellers.

my SIL and brother clearly got out today on the little boat, and took a pic of the rv marina from the water.
way to the far right is a little building, I'll be there. Second row, not up front.
I hope to be out seeing this same Cedarville MI sight July 2.

In the middle of the pic are two similar rvs call park models, ones with multipane windows at ends. They are the largest little houses you can pull behind a big dually
and are meant to be hauled some place and left there a while. Like in the mountains, at the lake, or in Florida. You don't tour with a park model...
usually has a second floor loft
these folks likely bought the lot, and put the park model there as a semi permanent vacation home. With quite the view.

when you have time:

boy are there going to be lawsuits, and I bet they will call them titanic law suits...
I wonder if the head guy, who also died, told that father and son who paid him all that money
to ride with him, did he tell them of the past history of cracking noises in the carbon fiber hull?
apparently this is the only non certified sub doing this work. Was the only...

I'm way too claustrophobic to think of getting in something like that.

Pushing the limits. I don't care what kind of hold harmless those folks signed, if owner didn't fully
disclose known issues involving safety, it's not only morally wrong but oh so legally wrong.
Stupid too.
At least they all died instantly, all smushed to pulp. That carbon fiber hull let go with a mighty crack and it was all over
They became fish food.
not my idea of a good time. may they RIP.

Got another .1” rain and don’t see any water dripping from porch ceiling. I hope that sealed the leak.
Dad said the tree is all cut down, I’m sure my brother will post some pics, I can’t wait to see it. Tree was probably 7 ft around. I asked about counting rings, he said some rot inside.

His other helper came and they are building brush pile to burn this winter.

Snagglepuss asleep on my lap.

66F and cloudy with ... wet ... @ 21:00, headed down to around 63F for the overnight low.

Closest LWS reports 0.23" of precip since midnight.

Drilled all the old cat food cans ... which will get used as deer deterrent around planting beds.

Then got the new 1 gallon Chapin sprayer assembled and filled with stink juice.

Seemed like every time I went out to do something this afternoon someone turned the faucet on though ... :(

I did run down to the Speedway and pick up 5 gallons of diesel and then get the Kubota refueled.

Remembered to pick up the bolts for the PHD out of the driveway.

Unfortunately did not remember to replace the dipstick for the hydraulic fluid on the Kubota the other day when I checked it, found half of that in the driveway too ... 🤬

Also got the food plot/pumpkin patch area I mowed up in the field by the shop tilled in between the raindrops:

Was dry enough that dirt wasn't sticking to the tires.

But there's a veritable snotload of rocks in it, so may run it through the soil screener in the coming days ... after I get the garden put in ... ;)

After I finished the tilling went over to get the Cub and dig up those few strawberry plants. No sooner than I got it pulled out of the barn the rain drops started again.

Contented myself with getting the cooling system cleaner drained out of the Kubota. It was exactly at 6 hours of runtime per the hour meter since I had added the cleaner.

Also got it refilled with distilled water. It's idling right now to circulate that.

What I still need to till in the garden (right center):

Probably groundhogs ... or 'coons ... 🤬

Hope everyone had a great Friday ... (y)
