We have been members of REI for a while late 90s I think. Their socks are the best for my feet
Which socks do you use? These are my “go-to” socks, year-round. I often get comments in warm weather re wearing heavy wool socks in summer, but they don’t compress like cotton and they keep breathability no matter how much my feet sweat or get wet.

I’ve been spoiled by alpaca socks, nothing like them.
mine that your wife made were simply amazing
until they shrunk and didn't fit any more.
I gave them to SIL and she loves them.

I wonder if there is a way to get preshrunk alpaca

when you told me you could get more than one day wear out of them, I kind of looked funny, always
wash socks after one use. But I tried....and it worked. No odor at all.
Assuming one took a shower occasionally...the socks were ready to go again, felt fresh and fluffy.

I'd like some shorty socks for the summer.
I wonder if they make them in EEE
until then Dickie seems to own this market.

these are cheap enough and last a fair amount of time.
sorting socks is a pita so I try to stick with the same brand.
used to do only white half socks. Then brown. Now taupe.

thinking I might up my sock game if there were better choices.
My dryer eats socks, a mighty appetite, so don't want to spend too much...
I wonder where they go.

so what's your favorite sock that doesn't cost more than 3-5 bucks a pair?

Good Morning.
It’s 62, breezy and clear. We got about 1/4” of rain yesterday, and more coming tomorrow. High today in the 70’s.

Seemed like every time I tried to do something outside yesterday it started raining. So nothing got pressure washed.
Spent most of the day waiting for the FAA to restore my access to a site that I needed to go on to to digitally sign some documents. Apparently they kick you out if you don’t go there for 90 days. It’s exceedingly obvious that the FAA is a not for profit organization.

Did some tinkering on RC planes while waiting, went to lunch, researched CNC plasma cutter tables ( trying figure out why I need one) and just before 5, got the email with the details on how to restore my access. Got that squared away, fixed some dinner for the wife and I, did a zoom airport authority meeting, and called it a night.

Today starts with breakfast with the professor, wife is coming along as well. When I get back, I’ll get the pressure washer out and go to work. Also have to fill the car and gas cans with gas using up my .75 discount at the grocery store. They limit you to a 20 gallon purchase, the Prius only has a 10 gallon tank, so I always try to fill a couple of cans as well.
Not sure what’s up other than that, gotta get moving to get to breakfast now..

Good Morning!!!! 66F @ 5:30AM. Lots of sunshine. High near 95F. Winds WSW at 5 to 10 mph.

Got beads seated at a tire dealer yesterday, so the side-by-side is back in action. I had trouble shipping a package via UPS, though, so they're now on my "do not use" list.

Headed south today for what may turn out to be a couple of weeks. A bit of vacation, some house hunting, too.

Hang in there, gang, Friday's comin'!

Smart wool socks made by REI cool in summer warm in winter but on pricey side though but I get several years usage before holes appear
