Get the gas points at the grocery store that results in 20 percent off groceries or 50 cents off on gas per gallon. On gas to use it to best advantage have to take 30 gallons which means only the truck has big enough tank or with the Sprinter have to bring gas cans for diesel.
Usually we can get more benefit by using it in 20 percent increments for off on groceries since there is no upper limit we make fewer and bigger grocery store trips to max the savings. Currently we have accumulated 50 percent off on groceries or 2.50 off gas.
We get points for gift cards to HD, TSC so that means we have built in savings for anything we buy from there converted to grocery points

Why give our money away

Good morning! Low of 50°, heading towards 79°. Fire watch / red flag warning in effect. It was gusty early this morning, so probably going to continue getting more windy.

RNG, have a safe trip, enjoy some peaceful relaxation.

Kilroy, glad the HD shipment finally arrived. Never had a problem with ordering from HD.

Mostly, sorry you got hacked. The wifey has been getting 2 emails a day over the past couple of days stating "your package has been delayed due to improper 'door' address"....blah, blah... click here.....
She trashes and reports (not that it does any good).

Kyle , nice tree to look at every day. Hope the a/c repair goes well.

As far as boots go.... I used to like Redwings when they were made here. Then switched to Danner boots. They fit perfectly like a glove, just expensive. Now that I don't really need 'good' boots, I just buy the cheaper hiking boots from Big 5 sporting goods.

Being windy today, probably no mulching will happen. Might make a run into town and pick up some materials for another big planter. Also thinking of getting some metal sheet steel for sides on the trailer.
I /we need a break from bending over spreading mulch....

Everyone have a great day!
The problem wasn’t with HD per se, the crossmembers allegedly were shipped from the distributor’s warehouse, but were not unlpaded as the receiving store, and it took almost three weeks of back-n-forth between HD and the distributor before it was straightened out and new crossmembers got shipped out. . .

So, with the forecast for the afternoon being t-storms until the evening, nothing was scheduled for PM.

however, right now:

Of course, being in the mountains means that it could be falling a flood in about 20 minutes, but taking advantage of current conditions on the deck ( in my wooly socks)

67°F and .17 inches rain.
Continuation of yesterday’s clean up. Biggy was using the surface cleaner on the Ryobi pw to clean up space between Living room and garage boxes. As that is mostly enclosed, the water had to be vacced - 15 fills of the large craftsman shop vac.

Hand & Foot this afternoon

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Frits, I think you need more of the coffee oils to get through the filter for good taste.
I'd use the reusable "gold tone" filter if it wasn't such a pain to clean it every time.
I suppose I should be recycling grounds somewhere.
what plant likes coffee grounds the best?

Coffee grounds and your egg shells, Drew. Not sure which plants like best, Sophie shares with most any around the house.

Good morning! 79˚F before sunrise and heading to the upper 90s. Washing machine did not drain so I called out the repairman yesterday. He quickly replaced the pump. Good to go.

Thanks for article Don. Didn’t know about the slugs and snails, a real concern here due to rat lung.

Well afternoon all;
My morning got a bit busy, the contractor working on my various projects said he was ready for concrete yesterday so ordered 8 yards for this morning that arrived about 11:30 and is sitting pretty right now, it's been screeded and floated letting it set a bit before finishing. Ran out yesterday afternoon and picked up a 24' x 100' of silo plastic (heavy) in case of rain showers we tented the pour area this morning before the truck got here and just pulled it over the concrete now as it's thinking about showering.
We have two more redi-mix pours coming up soon for a new garage entrance apron. We have gone through over 70 bags of sackcrete getting to this point. Concrete is high around here $1300 for an 8 yard load delivered of 4500# plus fiber.
Did a bit Sunday on my NH 8160 got the hydraulic back pressure valve installed and it's working next is to trouble shoot the 3 point control. As well as replace the rear window hinges on the Branson 8050 and try to find the AC leak.
Everyone stay healthy and well and enjoy life.
